Bob’s Bicycles

We are visiting from Hawaii and have had a couple of bike breakdowns during our stay. John in the shop has gone out of his way to make quick repairs and order parts through KHS. Highly recommend this full service bike shop in Boise! Mahalo Plenty Bob’s!

I spent one Saturday with money burning a hole in my pocket looking for a new bike to buy. I actually went to George’s Bicycles first and had a $ 500 bike picked out but it seemed their staff was hanging out talking to friends and I couldn’t get helped. So I left and almost gave up but drove down Fairview and saw Bob’s. I asked at the counter if someone could show me around and a younger gentleman with grey hair (would make sense if you met him) helped me out. I showed him how I wanted to sit and how fast I wanted to go also what my budget was. BAM! He pulled an amazing bike off the shelf for me, went and test rode the bike and it was perfect, walked in and bought it on the spot. Bob’s is a great bike shop!

Bob’s bicycle shop is the greatest because the people who work there are friendly and know their business! I bought my bike a year ago and love my bike! They asked questions to ensure I had the right bike for my needs. I took the bike in for a tune up and they had it done in a short time frame.

Bob’s is a great bike shop! I came in with an older Trek with shifters that were not working well. They sold me some older ones for a very reasonable price. I installed them myself, with no trouble on the rear derailer, but couldn’t seem to get the front working correctly (the down shift lever was very hard to push when on the 3^rd chainring). I brought the bike in, thinking the front shifter was bad. The bike shop almost immediately saw the problem (hooked the cable on the wrong side of the front derailer grab). While there they also tweaked the derailer with a wrench a little, making it shift much more responsively. The whole thing took about 4 minutes!

Just purchased a couple of Park Tools for my bikes and I couldn’t of been happier!

Bought a bike from here recently. A nice Haro bike that I LOVE! I hadn’t had a bike in YEEEEAAAARSSSS! I mean, YEARS! haha! Went in there looking to spend about 4 – 500 tops! I am a student so, I need to budget, but needed the bike to get around easier. I bought my bike on sale and it came to $ 402…fantastic!
The help there is some of the best I think I have ever received! Jesse helped my roommate and I with anything and everything when it came to questions about bikes, accessories, tuning up the bike etc. He truly is a great guy and goes above and BEYOND for his customers! So, if you looking for a bike… go here for sure! Don’t buy a buy at Walmart or Target… especially when you can get a great quality bike for the same price or close to it, at Bobs.
Also, one other guy there, I think his name was John, not sure though. He helped us when we went back in for some accessories and whatnot. Another great guy, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and stays with you to help you with anything. He and Jesse are great guys! Jesse will even have little conversations with you about random stuff. He really makes you feel more like a friend of his rather than just another customer. He is excellent at customer service :)
The store has amazing bikes! They have the more affordable ones for everyday use all the way up to the bikes that are for extreme sports… you will love it! I guarantee! So check it out!

I bought a new Electra bike from Bobs about a month ago. It had to be special ordered but they let me try out the same type of bike with a different paint job. The bike arrived exactly as promised and all the extras I bought were quickly installed for me. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. This is the second bike I have purchased from Bobs. My last bike was purchased over 20 years ago… A mountain bike that is still in excellent condition thanks to the folks at Bobs who do tune ups when needed. I would recommend Bobs to anyone looking for just a fun ride or those who are serious riders.

I wasn’t even necessarily in the market for a new bike when I came here with my husband… but because of the amazing customer service, I walked out with a new cruiser! Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable.
