Best and fastest Gyro’s in town. Love the variety of options. Everything tastes fresh. Been there a few dozen times and plan to go back again and again.

These guys actually have really good gyros(yurrrros). Better than most restaurants.

This is my go-to for Greek food. My husband and I come here frequently and is a quick option on tie nights neither of us feel like cooking. Their food is always fresh, service is superb, and they are pretty quick. I love their Greek salad. It’s flavorful. I also recommend their spicy bacon avocado. A+ food.

Drive thru. Gyros. Avocados. Three things that I never would have imagined could exist together, and yet here they are! Every time I visit Boise, this is one stop that must happen. The Spicy Gyro is tasty and adding Avocado and Green Sauce makes it even better! Love!!!

Always a great experience! Excellent food! They do not skimp on the meat, either.

I was skeptical of this place at first but one of my friends forces me to go and I love the food here! Fast moving lines and tasty lunch items

Gyro Shack is the quick option for a good gyro in Boise. While they don’t have a dine-in establishment, two drive through windows makes it easy to get to go. In the summer, they have outside tables to sit at and enjoy your spiced meats. I usually go with the deluxe combo meal because the lamb gyro has feta and tzatziki on it. I take a side of tzatziki as well; it’s the best in Boise, hands down. Plus, they have Mountain Dew in the drink fountain, which always makes me happy. You’ll come away smelling like onion, but your belly will be happy. The owner seems like a nice chap. My family got surprise, free baklava from him once, just for being courteous folks, and the dessert was fresh and tasty.

I feel fortunate to have the Gyro Shack close to my work for a quick and satisfying lunch. I love Greek gyros and the red or green spicy gyros are top notch. The meat is seasoned so nicely and I am salivating right now just thinking about it. The lines at the drive through are sometimes long at lunch but they get the food out pretty quickly. Service is friendly as well.

New favorite in Boise! I’m a huge fan of gyros and these are great! Their tzatziki sauce is amazing and their vegetables always fresh. Meat is seasoned just right and their pita is amazing. The hummus is not that great, but A+ for gyros!

Not sure if I just like Greek food or if this place is really drool-worthy. Either way, I approve highly. I just happened to be in the area on my semi-day off(yay teachers!) and decided to treat myself. The poor students who I worked with after dealt with my onion/garlic breath but it was totally worth it. I had the deluxe gyro with pita and tzatziki(yes, I had to google that to make sure it was spelled right). They did not skimp on anything. The gyro came with feta, large serving of meat, tomato, onion, tzatziki and other lovely, goodness. When you order, you have the option of either the combo(side and drink) or just the entrée. I had the combo, hence why I also got pita bread. Other options include Greek salad, pita and hummus and some other things. I stopped listening after I decided on bread and tzatziki. It ran me about $ 7. The drive through at 11:00 on Wednesday was fairly quick. Took about 5 minutes but the food was fresh! As soon as I got my food, I pulled ahead to a parking space and scarfed it all down. I will be back in the near future.

Ok so I was skeptical about drive thru Greek place but these are by far the best gyros I’ve ever had! Definitely worth every penny… And there isn’t too many pennies to be spent here because it’s inexpensive good food! I get the original with the side of hummus and pita while my husband usually goes with the ultimate. Sooooo good!

Great gyros, great service, but be warned there are limited places to sit and only outside if you don’t want to eat in your car.

So so sad! I’ve been going to this place religiously since we moved to Boise, sometimes upwards of 3x a week. They’ve recently changed ownership and the food has largely stayed the same as far as we can tell… until now. I usually order the spicy chicken gyro combo and instead of gyro meat they’re using chicken breast, making this a… chicken *wrap* and NOT a gyro. I hope they’re still using gyro meat for the regular gyros. So annoying.

4 stars is the highest I review for a fast food joint because it is not fair to the high end dining places such as Chandler’s who offer a much more intricate experience. What I love about the Gyro shack is you would never guess such amazing fresh food comes out of such a tiny place. Being a Michigan/Detroit native I was spoiled with the best Greek food and have been searching in Idaho for something that compares. My many ventures brought me to the Gyro shack where I was not dissapointed! This place is FAST even though it may seem packed you will not wait very long. My visit consisted of 2 Gyros in the middle of the lunch rush, 8 cars(4 on each side) were in front of us and it still only took 15 mins. In a matter of moments I had hot fresh pita bread encasing steamy succulent strips of lamb, the Gyro comes with tomatoes, onions, and tiziki sauce for the perfect combo. Guess what I paid $ 3.49! No way. that only gets you an hour old lukewarm hamburger at Micky D’s I have been a fan of this place for years and as long as they keep the service and food quality consistent I will continue to give them my money!

Okay, I discovered this place just a few months ago. And I can’t stop going back! Yes its that good, it reminds of the great food that you can get at your local fair. Several/hundreds of options to customize what you want. Always very fast and the drive through is on both sides so don’t get stuck waiting on one side of the building. Don’t miss this delicious place!

This place was fast even at lunch hour rush. I got the deluxe gyro which had the meat, tzaiki sauce, onions, and feta cheese. Huge portion for the cheap price.

The Gyro Shack offers up fresh, tasty eats at ridiculously reasonable prices and they’re lightning fast to boot. Ordered their Greek Salad Pita and was pleased with the ample serving sizes and the quality, fresh ingredients. They have a large menu with items that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. They even have a «pita melt,» which is a pita bread style grilled cheese and which my eleven year old thinks is fine cuisine, indeed. It’s basically a drive-thru, but they do have a couple of outdoor picnic tables if the weather is fine and you’d like to sit and enjoy your gyro rather than taking it to go. The service is always fast and friendly. And, finally: baklava! Get to it!

Today was my first visit to the Gyro Shack and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The little drive thru shack doesn’t look like much when you drive by so I never thought it would be memorable I guess. I was running errands in the area so I thought why not and felt adventurous to try something new. The reviews on Unilocal were very favorable also making me feel a bit better about my decision. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman at the window who took the time to tell me about their menu. I told him it was my first time there so he said he would give me some time to review the menu and also pointed out their special of the day which was the spicy gyro, choice of side and a 20 oz. drink. I think he may have been the owner but was not sure. I decided on the special for the day and got the green spicy sauce since he said it was home made from jalalpenos and cilantro. I also got the Greek salad as my side. The gyro was very good and the salad was very fresh combination of cukes, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and feta cheese with dressing on the side. I didn’t even need the dressing it was so delicious! Because it was my first visit he also gave me a free order of baklava dessert! Excellent customer service. I would do Four and a half stars if I could only because they offer Pepsi products and I am a coke person and no where to sit so it’s hard to eat in your car unless you can it eat it some where but it won’t stop me from coming back!

Stumbled onto this little shaved slice of heaven when attempted to find something for me to eat while the hubby ordered his taco time(across the street). Note: you line up on both sides, like a 2 sided drive thru in opposite directions… Just a little shack to get your food and bring it home. If you must you can park and there are a couple picnic tables. But the main purpose is take away! OMG! Wowza! Had visited one of these in vancouver wa, and didn’t realize it was a chain… cool! And i swear the fella working inside is a clone of the buy in vancouver! Menu is huge!(i updated the business entry, if approved it will be there — otherwise, search on line, as suggested by another reviewer and it comes up fast!) Lots of options, i need to try more things! I just game for a gyro greek salad and it did not disappoint! Large is enough for 2 meals and it weighed a ton! Tons of meat and tasty! TASTY! Tziziki sauce was delish, quantity and quality was fab! The gyro sandwich options look out of the works, something for everyone! Can’t wait to come try more! Super friendly staff, they use square for payment. Just great!
