Subway

It’s national sandwich day, and subway runs a promotion for buy one get one free subs. Awesome, right? Not here. This location puts one PAINFULLY slow guy behind the counter, so the line takes at least 45 minutes, not even during the dinner rush. Then, around 7:45, as I am finally only a few spots from the front of the line, we hear the man tell the woman ordering that she got the last piece of bread. Wait, what?
The man behind the counter did not bother to warn everyone else when he had 5, 3, or even 2 pieces left. He waits until the last piece is gone to even mention it, with 10 people that have been waiting on line for 45 minutes. He did not even bother to properly announce the situation or apologize to the people on line, he just told the next guy that he was out. Everyone else had to overhear it and, scratching our heads and our tummies rumbling, figure out that we had to leave empty handed.

I’ve been making sure to do the rounds and hit up all the regular and semi-​regular spots I’ve visited the past two years living in Allston. While I know Subway is not a premier destination for sandwiches, this place hits the mark for what you’d expect. First of all the staff is almost always friendly, polite and quick. They do a great job and even if I come in 15 minutes before closing, I never am made to feel bad about it. This location is always clean and they frequently give $ 1 off coupons for my next visit. Yes, the food is pretty much the same food across the board for Subway… which isn’t amazing especially for someone who likes sandwiches. However, everything is always fresh and well prepared at this location. Keep up the good work! I’ll make another visit or two before I move out of Allston!

Omg I love this place!!! It makes me so sad that it’s not in a more popular location! It’s so clean and the staff is so efficient that I would love to actually sit down here and eat. Unfortunately living next door kind of defeats the purpose. Why can’t other Subways follow suit!!!

Love this subway. Not so much because it tastes any different from any other subway chain but because the owner and workers are the friendliest people ever. And for that it deserves 5 stars. Not to mention it’s always clean!

I am giving 5 stars because this is the best subway I have ever been to. It is pretty clean and the employees are really nice. If you want a little extra of something they don’t act annoyed and always seem sincere when they say thanks have a good day. If you have a choice I would go to this one over the one on Harvard Street.

It doesn’t matter if Subway is a chain, Bobby and Sunny are the BEST! They are so personable, have so much genuine authenticity, and are excited to see the regulars.
We always want that perfect bite… then bite… then bite after bite… I will actually finish my 6″ turkey sandwich; which is of perfection.
You may think that I’m bored to write a Unilocal for this Subway; however they’ll ALWAYS take the time to make my sub fantastic. Also, the store is nicely done up. Like I said, they remember their reg’s names. And the nicest, sweetest, gentlemen; they offer a student discount too!
ok everyone! come on! Everyone HOW ROCKIN’ that there is a place SUBWAY, that treats you like a HUMAN BEING, that’s actually on the B-​LINE SUBWAY.
ha ha ha; a SUBWAY NEXT TO THE SUBWAY! So take the stop and make that run! yay!
