My co-workers and I grab breakfast sandwiches here at least 3x a week! They have the best prices and such a great staff.

Portion sizes have taken a dive. I just paid $ 9 for two slices of marble rye, maybe 3 oz of corned beef, and a half hearted smear of Russian and sauerkraut. Also. If you ask for a sandwich to be grilled, wouldn’t you grill it after it was assembled, and not before… I dunno, maybe I’m just still hangry.

Stumbled on this place by chance today when the rain forced me to change my usual walking route to South Station. The proprietors are friendly and genuine, and the list of sandwich options is long. I ate my chicken avocado wrap at a café table upstairs while working on my laptop. Wifi, nice. They’d been busy and were restocking ingredients, but when I was there at 1:30, it was mellow and cozy.

Solid meatball on focaccia bread(9.62). Nicely toasted and good for a hearty appetite. It comes with a bag of chips so remember to get one. It was made fresh and had enough meatball in every bite. Service was prompt and friendly.

I think it’s the bread that makes these panini taste so unbelievably good. I’d love to try everything, but I just keep coming back to the Tuscany. Man, it is one messy panini, but so darn tasty! Don’t mind me, I’ll just be sitting there dribbling pesto mayo all over my face for the next 20 minutes. Delicious food, friendly local folks, free mini soup and chips with every sandwich… life is good! Now, if you were only closer to my office…

$ 1.19 breakfast sandwiches! I’ve come here a number of times for their bacon, egg, and cheese on an english muffin. The staff is friendly and efficient. You can call in your order if you prefer — although I usually just go over and take the few minutes wait to think about what is in store for the workday ahead. I noticed that they serve beer and wine. I’ve only ever come for breakfast, but I know they do lunch as well.

I generally order a Greek salad with chicken, but everything I’ve tried is delicious! The chicken they put on salads is herbed so it’s much more satisfying than regular grilled chicken for salads. The staff is very friendly and they quickly learn names and«usuals» if you go in somewhat regularly. Definitely a hidden gem!

Great breakfast sandwiches, super cheap. The lunch sandwiches are also really awesome and I feel like my coworkers go there everyday for lunch. It may seem like a Boston locals only kinda place but the staff are super welcoming and friendly $ 1 egg on an english muffin — can you really beat that?

The food is not remarkable but it is adequate. The staff are exceptionally friendly including the person taking orders and the lady at the cash register. The free samples of soup are a little odd. Remember that chips are generally included with your sandwich. A good spot if you are in the area and don’t want to go far, but I would not go out of my way to return here.

Definitely ok! Predictably consistent food with friendly staff and reasonable prices. I tried one of these aforementioned breakfast sandwiches, and they are pretty unbeatable for under $ 1.50. I ordered lunch for groups of people though and found the food to be pretty good. They make their own soups, which are tasty. Otherwise, the spread consists of paninis and salads. They have a full cold case of odwalla and naked juices, as well as sodas, and they always have chips, cookies, chocolates, and other treats on offer. They were super capable of taking my lunch orders over the phone and packing up our food with requisite dressings, utensils, napkins, etc. I’d recommend them if you work in the area or need to do a corporate catering order and don’t want to go with a Panera type. I fed 6 people for between $ 77 and 110 dollars, depending on how hungry we were, and including tip. Very reasonable!

Stopped in here for lunch for the first time today on my lunch break, was relatively impressed. I got the Sulmona Panini, which was pretty solid. The main selling point would be their bread, which comes from Iggys and added a nice home-style taste to their sandwich. It also included a pickle, which is always a nice touch. While it might not beat the likes of Figaro’s and Al’s, I’d call this place a gem worth returning to, especially if you’d prefer a more quiet atmosphere.

Lunch is meh… Nothing special, a little expensive. But Breakfast? $ 1.30 ish for breakfast sandies on an english muffin? I’m sold. AND it’s actually good? VERY sold. Sausage Egg and Cheese. All the breakfast sandwiches are made to order and fresh when you get them. This is my go to Friday morning spot, where I order 2 sandies. Treat yo’ self to a breakfast– it’s only about $ 3 for 2 delicious breakfast sandies!

Stopped by to grab a quick lunch around 1. I had major anxiety about what to order(decisions, decisions) and was glad to have some guidance from the«our most popular» whiteboard near the front of the line. I decided on the mandarin chicken salad, which was light and fresh and had plenty of chicken, but not many oranges. Oh well. The balsamic dressing is great though! The nice lady at the cashier gave me a sample of free lentil soup and a pita. All in all, not bad for $ 8.50 and a five minute wait. I’ll be back to try their sandwiches next time!

The food is actually pretty good here, but there are a few things little things that annoy me and make me want to never come back. It’s expensive and inconsistent compared to other places around. I have gone here a million times for lunch because it’s SO close to my office — but every time I go it takes forever and I get charged different prices for the same sandwiches all the time. Pros 1. Cheap breakfast sandwiches. 2. Tasty chicken sandwiches. 3. Homemade taste. Cons 1. You have to check the prices so you don’t get overcharged. The woman at the counter seems to make them up. For some reason this really annoys me. 2. Seems to take forever on the majority of my visits. 3. Expensive.

This is a great sandwich shop in the Leather District. For months I worked on South St, I passed right by the place. Finally, when I went inside, I was shocked by the size of the dining room, when everything else in the area is usually cramped with only a few tables. Andiamo has a nice raised seating area overlooking South St. The food is great, and they have some unique sandwiches that I love, like the Abruzzo or Salmona. Also, their roasted rosemary chicken and avacado wrap is my new favorite. The people who work there are also very friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

I really want to like this place. It’s close to work, prices are on par with the other lunch spots in the Financial District area, owners seem very friendly… but the food is so inconsistent and the guys working the line never seem to know what they are doing. Today I got an avocado chicken wrap and the avocados weren’t ripe at all(YUCK), the chicken was dry and the onions cut in huge wedges. Now, I’m not lookin for a fancy schmance sandwich, but I would much rather them tell me that there were no avocados left for the sandwich, rather than serving me inedible, unripened ones. I need to remind myself not to come back here, as there are tons of other options in the area.

Stopped in for lunch. Definitely has a reasonably busy lunch crowd. The menu offers decent variety from salads, paninis, sandwiches, pasta dishes, etc. There are a number of bread choices, rye, wheat, focaccia, chiabatta, etc. I had a Tuscany Panini on chiabatta. The bread was fresh, the sandwich was decent-sized with rosemary seasoned grilled chicken, mesc greens, tomato, onion and pesto mayo. Good flavor, enjoyable & satisfying. My boyfriend had the Westender. He said it was good but that he probably liked Susan’s Deli of Course(down the street) better if only because there was more meat on their sandwich. The prices are decent, typical of the area($ 6−7ish). They also have a variety of kettle-style chips and assorted bottled beverages as well as coffee & tea. Each sandwich came with a pickle. There are a dozen or so tables for eating in(even during peak lunch time, we had no problem finding a table). I was very pleased with the friendly, polite demeanor of the staff as well as their efficiency. I would recommend and wouldn’t mind returning to try something else.

Our company just moved to the area, and this place is already my go-to for breakfast when I’m too lazy to make my own. Steps from South Station, they have cheap(but delicious) egg /cheese /meat on a bagel /eng muffin etc… They have a small coffee bar that usually has a couple different flavors brewing. You can’t find your micro-brew Ethiopian whatever here, but at under $ 5 for a large coffee, sausage egg & cheese on a bagel, who needs all that crap. Been by for lunch a couple of times and had sandwiches(solid choice! — they’ll fill you up) and pasta. Lots of tables let you spread out once you’ve got your food. I just met the sisters who own the place today, and they’ve been here for 20 — twenty! — years. Trust me, they’re doing something right and it shows. Bottom line: Great service, good food, unbeatable value. Definitely stop by!
