Kustom Kar Audio Plus

I was sick of freezing my butt off in the morning when it’s -30 °F and you have to get the courage to go start the car and it’s still dark out… Clay was able to install a remote start on my new truck, 2005 Ford F350 Superduty Turbo Diesel and I couldn’t be happier. Fortunately he had a Python remote start with alarm functions in stock and it only took a couple hours to install, I was very impressed. That’s why he’s done 3 remote starts for me and I keep on coming back.
Living in Winter Park provides many challenges with weather, plus time is always an issue for me so it’s nice to know I can take a trip to Denver and have Kustom Kar Audio Plus do just about anything I need in one day. Now I can turn on my heated seats, set minimum/​maximum temperatures inside the cab, turbo timer and just about anything else I can think of from my living room while I sip coffee.

I contacted Clay to have him install a remote start on my car. I was nervous as I’d only had one person (who I’d known for years) ever install anything on my cars but he’s 8hrs away now and I wanted a remote start before the snow came. Clay answered all of my questions, was very nice, knew what he was talking about, and obviously takes pride in his work. He got me in for an appointment fast, the pricing was great, and I got better service than I ever could have asked for! While he was installing my new remote start he saw the remains of an old alarm system that he cleaned up for me as well! I never had a quality sound system in my car before and I had no idea what I was missing until Clay installed a new Kenwood with Bluetooth capability. The sound quality is fantastic and I love not having to wear a ear piece to talk on the phone. Clay was great, he took the time to show me all the features of the new system and how to use them. Great experience, would definitely recommend! I looked everywhere for someone to install an auxiliary input cable in my CR-​V, and the dealerships/​CarToys all told me it was impossible without buying an expensive new stereo system. Clay from Kustom Kar Audio responded to my email within the hour, knew immediately what parts I needed, and came to my house at my convenience to install them, for a fraction of the price of a new audio system. It now works perfectly!

There I was, in a pickle, a unique 200amp fuse that is part of my solar power system for my travel trailer blew, and I live in it! This will not do! I canvased the entire Boulder/​Arvada/​Golden area for all the auto parts stores, stereo shops and electrical component dealers I could find. Nothing! They never heard of it. Enters Clay from Kustom Kar Audio to the rescue. Clay knew exactly what fuse I needed but was out of stock! Since I was about a 45 min away he not only suggested several other closer places that may have the fuse, he texted me the numbers and addresses! Unfortunately none of these places had the fuse. So Clay personally crafted a temporary fuse replacement for me and had it ready when I arrived at his house! Bam my trailer power was up and running!
Next, since my dog Biggie cracked my stock double din head unit on my Chevy 3500, I asked Clay if he could replace that and still retain my navigation, reverse camera, and steering wheel controls. He did that and more. Now I have a DVD player, hands free automatic blue tooth connectivity, hands free phone connection, a way nicer navigation system, hdmi connection and the nicest head unit I’ve ever owned all expertly installed in a timely fashion! He even hooked me up with some fresh home-​baked cookies. Oh my God!
I’ve had a lot of stereos in my life and it’s important to me to maintain the integrity of the electrical system and keep all the wiring immaculate. Clay has it down to an art, he has so many years of experience with so many makes and models, he knew exactly how to properly disassemble my dashboard with specialized tools, not a cheap screwdriver or pocket knife. Every piece of the dashboard remains in pristine condition.
Overall I’m very impressed and satisfied. I feel like I learned a lot and gained an important asset to my network of people I can trust and count on to get the job done excuse free. I highly recommend Kustom Kar Audio for all your car audio and electronic needs. And cookies.
The next project we’re planning is to put forward looking cameras in my trailer that I can view when hauling to see my clearance and for reversing. Clay can do it all.
