Sweet, sweet lady they call mami, she does typical, regular styles but doesn’t have a clue on doing what’s «in», now the owner on the other(Juaquina) is, bitter, unprofessional lady(a big gossip), talks about everyone(especially customers), n treats her own sister aka Mami like crap! It’s sad n disgusting. She talks about how professional she is and how’s she has travel everywhere to get the best training and is the best expertise when it comes to coloring but she will use a highlight cap??? What the heck??? That was use before the 80’s. Terrible!

I’ve been to Joaquina’s several times and I absolutely love my haircut. Have received many compliments and people wanted to know where I got it done. I have to agree though that they are a bit chatty but I’ve been to Hair Salons all over from Arthur Ave to Galleria Mall and in Kissimmee, Fl and that is evident in all places.

All the good stylists left years ago to open their new salons and escape from this nightmare. MISSYOUEVELYN! The hairdressers are okay. They blow dry hair nicely — but who doesn’t? The owner, Joaquina, does good hair coloring but that’s about it! These women do nothing but CHITCHAT, BABBLE, and talk shit all day. They talk shit in Spanish about every non-Hispanic person in the salon and often get distracted from their work. Joaquina did my hair for my high school prom and I looked like a freaking poodle. I had to go home and fix it. Also, they have added an area to do nails and toenails — but these women are not trained for this. they do a mediocre job. I say skip this place and go pay a few bucks extra in a nicer place.
