Number 8 Chinese Restaurant

The food is so good here! The owner is a lady in the front she can be a tad serious (which I don’t take personal) but she is always courteous and respectful ! You definitely won’t have the Disney greeting (lol) but food is yummy!!!

Ever since new Management has taken over, this place completely sucks. The food is not the same, prices went up way too much and they have a NASTY ASS WOMAN in front who is straight up RUDE. My family and I USED TO order from here as it is a block away BUT ever since we had several encounters with wrong orders and new girl’s NASTINESS… we STOPPED ORDERING FROM HERE!
We found a better place, respectful people on the phone, quick delivery, better menu and they get our orders CORRECT (they have items No 8 does not offer) @ Li’s Kitchen (free delivery w/​$ 10)
I will NEVER ORDER from No 8 AGAIN!

I never write reviews but this place annoyed me so much I wanted to vent. I had dinner for my wife & I delivered where I ordered bonless spare ribs without sauce. The only women in the front repeated it back to me but when I opened the container there was sauce all over it. Okay, not the end of the world. When I called back the women nastily said I told the guy in the back but he forgot, you have to bring it back here. I told her the purpouse of delivery is so I don’t have to go out. She still refused. My wife saw I was pissed and told me I should stay away and she would exchange it. I was discussted and told her to return it, I lost my appitite (I didn’t touch it). My wife told me the women then gave her a hard time and didn’t want to take it back until my wife had to give her a hard time back.
This place WAS amazing when the previous owner Nancy and her family ran it. The food is not as good but their major problem is this animal in the front. She is constantly having problems. The place was always packed but now it’s not. I only used them after Nancy left because they are steps away from my house. I will now make other arrangements.

What happened to this place? They had such a delicious General Tso’s chicken, and today after a long time I went to pick up an order but it just wasn’t as good? It’s not terrible pretty mediocre Chinese take out. No sesame seeds sprinkled on top. And where did all the previous Unilocal ratings and pictures go for this place?

The food is good, delivery is fast. Chinese take out will is practically the same everywhere.
HOWEVER, the only lady who works there acts as if she hasn’t gotten laid in years!
She has horrible people skills considering someone who HAS to deal with people every 2 minutes. I am forced to buy from them because its the only and closest take out by my house. I HATE talking to her. ALWAYS in a bad mood and bad attitude. I am an avid customer of theirs. No one else has a problem with the customers only her.
My money is green, I don’t waste their time, considering the amount of times i order from that place you would think she would be more accommodating. She complains about giving me duck or soy sauce. WHO DOES THAT???
One time I ordered an egg roll which was completely uncooked. I started eating it in front of her face so she was also able to tell that it was clearly uncooked. I told her about it, she took the egg roll slammed it in the garbage and instead of offering me another one… she slams my dollar on the table and dismisses me without giving me a new one.
The nerve of this lady. This is just one occasion of the many. Ive spoken with many other locals and even her own brother (guy cooks in the back) who agree with me. I know I’m not the only one shes had problems with.
I would give the restaurant a higher review but this bad 1 apple is horrible. The food is the same your going to get at any other corner Chinese spot.

Have never been disappointed by Number 8. The food is always delicious, prepared in a timely manner and delivered promptly. Compared to the rest of chinese food delivery places, this one completely deserves five stars. It is totally worth it.
