We have dined here for New York Yankee games almost every time we have been to a game. If you don’t reserve in advance, your chances of dining here before the game start is not good. We normally would either have drinks at the bar when waiting for a table without reservations. The Steakhouse is very crowded most of the time unlike the other NYY Steakhouse in the NY City. Their food is excellent along with their service. They have an excellent selection of wines as well. Of course, the interior is all about the Yankees with TV’s to watch the game. In many occasions I have had too much fun with friends in the restaurant that we have found ourselves finally sitting in our seats sometime in the fourth inning.

While the service was decent, that’s where the good experience ended. We ordered a New York Strip medium rare and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Each of these was lackluster at best. The steak was tough and had a lot of grizzle. The mac and cheese was ok but the macaroni they used was a poor choice because it did not hold the cheese well. The steak had the consistency of being pre-cooked and the crab Oscar garnish(an extra) was helpful but had little taste on its own. Overall, a nice looking restaurant for people who may not eat out much or know what a good steak is supposed to taste like. I would not return, even for a free meal(or the complimentary dessert they offered me today). You are better off eating a Lobdell’s steak sandwich, or a few hot dogs, than overspending at this place.

Probably the best steak I ever had. Only complaints were service issues(mischarging for wine and other items on our bill)

Came here a few times and have always been happy getting the bone in ribeye. The seafood platter is also very good. The service is great and the staff is down to earth. Some servers however are too comfortable and use street talk which I wouldn’t want in an upscale place like this.

Oh my word. So amazing. Had the bacon, possibly the best bacon of my life. So thick, and full of flavor. Than we had the 8oz sirloin and lobster tail meal. The steak literally melted in your mouth. Perfect. To finish it off we had the volcano. Desert on fire, candy bar cover ice cream all bathed in Bacardi 151. It was lovely! Only critique is that the cocktails were a little weak. But overall an incredible meal.

5 stars. The is for NYY Steak Express. The steak strip sandwich melts in your mouth and is a must try at the stadium. It’s seasoned and cooked to perfection every time. My mouth is watering as I am writing this. THISIS A MUSTTRYFORANYONEWHOLOVESMEAT.

I have dined at NYY Steak on three other occasions and have enjoyed it. As a Yankees season ticket holder and major fan, the décor and atmosphere are great. On this occasion I wanted to have a family dinner with my adult daughters and husband(this would be the first time for one of my daughters to experience NYY Steak). Unfortunately, the service on this occasion was terrible. We were seated promptly, but then waited 20 minutes or more before we could flag down anyone to send a server over. Even though there were servers at both tables next to us, they had their backs to us and never even looked our way, despite us trying to get their attention. When we eventually flagged someone down to send a server over, we saw that person trying to «negotiate» with a waitress to take our table. She didn’t, and the person we asked never returned. Eventually a waiter working in another section saw that we were being ignored and came over offering to help us shortly. He was friendly and enthusiastic, and to his credit, seemed to be trying to make up for what had happened so far. Potentially so much so that our food came out super fast(almost impossibly fast) and the whole meal felt very rushed. I couldn’t even get anyone to pour a glass of water and wound up doing it myself. I think a meal of this kind should be savored and experienced. If I wanted something quick, there are plenty of other less-expensive options at the stadium that are very good. In addition, and this is just another observation, our waiter’s white jacket was filthy. Overall it was extremely disappointing. The food was mediocre at best, and quite pricey for what it was. The service was flat out terrible. So much so, that I will not be back and will definitely not recommend NYY Steak to anyone. It’s a shame really, but I’m not willing to spend a couple hundred dollars again on a rushed, mediocre meal.

My father and I came after the game for a birthday dinner. We had the porterhouse, parmesean truffle fries, shrimp cocktail, blue wedge salad and the NY bone in Strip. The food was excellent. Everything was prepared correctly and delicious. However we were seated literally right next to some random couple. For me it was a little akward rubbing elbows with a stranger. Overall a great experience. I have had better steak for cheaper. I understand NYC needs its money but I think it could be dropped 20% and still make a handsome profit.

It just doesn’t get any better than a great steak & lobster at the Stadium! Service was very gracious, smooth and attentive. Manny was top notch! We dined on the fore mentioned Filet Mignon, cold water lobster tails, thick juicy bacon(a must have), moz and tomatoes, mashed potatoes, and spinach all prepared to perfection. All washed down with a great bottle of Mount Veeder Cabernet. The dessert not to miss is the NYY151 Volcano! A flaming mountain of YUM! Great time, and we will return soon!

I really wish Unilocal would allow zero stars in reviews. Let me start by saying we could not get into this place despite the fact that we had a reservation! My friend is a huge Yankees fan. All she wanted to do for her birthday was go to a Yankee game and then go to NYY Steak for dinner after. The game was scheduled for 1pm so I made a reservation for 5pm, figuring that would give us plenty of time. The game ended really early(a little before 3:30pm) so we figured we would go across the street for a few drinks before dinner. I received a text from the restaurant a little after 3:30pm saying that our table was ready, which I thought was odd since we had a 5pm reservation. They also called my phone at some point but it was too loud in the bar to hear so I couldn’t answer and they did not leave a message. We walked back over to the restaurant around 4:50. The security guard for the Hard Rock Café said that he thought the steakhouse said they were closed but since we said we had a 5pm reservation he told us to walk through the Hard Rock Café to the security guy in the back. Both the security guy in the back and the elevator guy also thought the steakhouse was closed but agreed to take us up since we said we had a reservation. When we tried to speak to the hostess she seemed confused about what we were doing there. First she said that she would see if there were any cancellations for us. Why do we need someone to have cancelled when we have a reservation that we’re not even late for??? There were also plenty of open tables. Then she said they were no longer seating people because they were technically closed but she would check with the kitchen to see what they said. No thanks!!! We weren’t about to spend all of that money to either have them rush us or tell us that they couldn’t make certain things or whatever else it was that she needed to check with the kitchen about since they were«closed» before seating us so we left and will not be coming back. Our assumption(after all of this and since no one bothered to explain to us what the issue was) is that they expect you to come as soon as the game ends but then why do you take reservations for specific times??? What is the point of having a 5pm reservation for a restaurant only for them to act like you walked in off of the street in the middle of the night after they closed and just expected to be seated? Just say that it’s a reservation for after the game(whatever time that ends up being) and say that people need to be there within a certain period of time after the game ends!

Would give an extra half star if I could, the food here is good, but after having Peter Lugers and Hunt and Fish Club, it’s not stellar. Recently took my parents out to a game and ate here, considering the prices for a hot dog in the stadium, I guess the $ 400 bill was reasonable. The service has been great the 2 times I have gone, I just feel like if you are going to brand yourself with the best team in sports history, you really need to go above and beyond on all levels. I ordered the bone in ribeye which was cooked the way I like it. Right between rare and medium rare. It was seasoned well but like I said previously, I’ve had better. Still I think it’s something to experience as a Yankees fan at least once.

Still the BEST Steakhouse in the Boogie Down Bronx, but the prices are creeping higher and higher. Here is the price tag for dinner for two last Sunday, before the Yankees v Mets game: Raw Bar Sampler for two: $ 55 8oz Filet Mignon: $ 46 Bone-in Ribeye: $ 58 Lobster Mac & Cheese: $ 15 Two Stella’s(pint) at $ 12: $ 24 Two Merlot’s at $ 12: $ 24 Ice Cream: $ 10 Cappuccino: $ 5.95 2oz Sambuca: $ 9.75 Plus tax: $ 21.99 Total without tip: $ 269.69 Dinner for two with tip was a whopping $ 313.69

Wish I could give 0 stars. Dad came to town, purchased Yankee tickets just to take him to NYY Steak IN the stadium(something he has always wanted to do) and what a waste of time and money. The tomato mozzarella salad was delish. We were excited for our impending meals. Our server spilled our drinks on his way to run them to us — nothing to hold against him but this is where it all went downhill. The couple next to us was celebrating an anniversary and when they received their check — with enough time to get to their seats before the first pitch — they had extra drinks on it. It literally took 15 – 20 minutes to sort it out and get them out and on their way. My dad and I were never planning to watch the game, we had tickets for later in the week, just wanted to be in the middle of the hooplah and enjoy a nice dinner on his short trip to the East Coast in his favorite place of all, Yankee Stadium 40 minutes later, still no food. I am a vegetarian and don’t eat cheese so I ordered the pasta with no cheese. We finally receive our meals after asking three different people what the deal was — and mind you, the place had all but cleared out at this point so people could get to the game. Finally it arrives and was straight cold. My dad got a steak and we got the famous onion rings. My pasta seems to have cheese and after waiting at least 5 minutes to get the attention of ANYONE, a food runner comes over and I ask what it is that I am seeing, since I made it clear no cheese, please! His answer, and I kid you not, «ANINGREDIENT.» Huh, that’s interesting. He runs back to the kitchen to confirm it is not cheese but does not find out what it is, just assures me it’s safe. Whatever, at this point I’m starving. Finally our server checks on us midway through trying to get the food down and we tell him how disappointing it is that everything is cold, especially after waiting an absurd amount of time to receive everything, and he asks us if we want him to reheat the onion rings?! I work in a restaurant, I figured what he actually meant was get us new ones. Nope, he took ours, had them REFRIED, and then reserved them to us. They were so overcooked and oily we could hardly bite into them. Needless to say this was a disgraceful experience. We asked to speak to a manager who basically came over, aggressively and defensively, and asked what happened. Literally not one sentence in I see his eyes shift and he’s no longer paying attention. He kindly comped the salad. GIVEME A BREAK. That was the only delightful thing about the entire evening(besides the daddy daughter date, obvs). I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food is not good, there are an abundance of better steakhouses in this great city. Management is horrendous and should learn how to deal with customers who are forking over that much money for dinner. BLEGH. Go home.

Took me a while to write this review but it’s definitely worth writing up. If you are gonna do Yankee Stadium, do it right. NYY Steak is incredible, in atmosphere and food. The waitresses are gorgeous and the food is excellent. This is a classy place where you can still party. My porterhouse was perfectly cooked and my martinis were spot on. Just a really good piece of advice. Get the bacon. Will definitely be back next season.

So, for my first ever Yankee game I celebrated with a well deserved trip to the Yankee steak house. Absolutely no regrets! It’s beautiful in there, the staff was super nice. The food is what you wanna know about, right? Man listen for starters they bring you a small roll with some different kinda butter, don’t fight it, it’s delicious! I ordered the porterhouse steak medium well($ 68) and it was worth every penny! The biggest steak I’ve ever seen or consumed by far! It was perfectly charred on the outside, but the inside was just right, and seasoned to perfection. I really didn’t need my knife the whole time. The lobster Mac was bomb too! A friend of mine ordered the lamb chop, and let me tell you, you’ll never see a lamb chop this huge! They left the WHOLE bone in, maybe a foot long bone. The meat was cooked to the perfect consistency, he said it’s the best lamb he’s ever had. I asked to meet the chef, he came out we shook hands. The GM came out too and we showed our gratitude. The Yankees also won. That steak is the real MVP tho.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out NYY Steak at the Yankees stadium after we read online at AM New York that their burger was rated one of the top burgers in NYC. It was a nice change of scenery to go to such a nice place on a game day at the Yankees Stadium instead eating at the concessions. We started off with a round of drinks. I ordered a mojito which was tasty, but nothing special or unique about this drink. Nonetheless it was tasty. While previewing the menu for lunch, we noticed there wasn’t even a burger on the menu. We were very confused, since we really wanted to try this burger! We said to the waitress that we wanted to order the burger, and she didn’t hesitate or say anything about it not being on the menu. Could the burger be a secret dish that isn’t on the menu? The burger either came with french fries or coleslaw, and we chose coleslaw since fries just seemed too heavy. For the $ 17 cost, one would think that it would come with fries AND coleslaw! No such luck! The burger came to our table, and at first glance it seemed great! We soon realized it was missing something. From the reviews we read, and the pictures we saw, it was supposed to include onion jam and aged gouda. The waitress never asked us about toppings and we just assumed we would receive the burger the way it is supposed to be prepared. The meat you could tell was great quality and cooked to perfection, but the missing toppings were a great disappointment. All that was included on ours was lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The coleslaw was very light and not overly creamy, just the way I like it! The burger meat was quite delicious, but I am not sure I would rate it one of the top burgers in NYC, since it lacked excitement. I was hoping for the burger I saw in the picture from AM New York, but this didn’t compare. It was like seeing a picture of a McDonald’s burger in an ad, and then getting disappointed by the burger you receive. Hopefully next time they don’t forget our toppings, if there is even a next time!

3 ½ Stars if possible, Great steak and an fantastic waiter!!. I don’t mind a $ 300 Bill at a classic steak house for 2 as its norm with a few drinks so no complaints on price. I do not like the commune seating they literally have you sitting at a table with strangers. another issue is the food takes a while to come out, I noticed other people that sat down after us received there food first. Normally not worried about time while out to dinner but if I’m waiting to watch a game I would like to get in for at least the 2nd inning. The sides where good but the gigantic onion rings looked good but had no flavor and are soaked in grease. I would probably go back with a group of 4 or more to get our own table and steer clear of the onion rings and this could go to 4 stars.

After a great day at the Stadium, NYY Steak was the place chosen to have a good meal. The meal itself was good; and the Yankee game was still being played, visible from the many TVs around the restaurant. The seafood tower, the steak bacon and fried oysters were all good appetizers. The steaks(we ordered 4 long bone rib eyes) were also very good, but two of them were cooked a bit under. The steaks were not finished because they were very big. When it came time to wrap-up and bring things home, they only wrapped up the bones for us. So even though our 4 steaks had about one-third of the meat still on the bone, they only packed up the bone. What a waste of money. This more or less ruined a perfect day at the Stadium. Our waiter(Manny) was great however and apologized for the waitress that helped him and likely just threw away the 20 oz. of dry-aged beef. Shame; would have been a great way to end Old Timers’ Day at Yankee Stadium.

Cool spot located inside the Stadium. I went for a private party, so I really didn’t get to experience the restaurant itself. The setup inside is nice, although I would’ve appreciated a view of the field and NOT the McDonald’s across the street. Would I go back? Possibly. The food on the regular menu did sound good, but as Mets fan, I will tread lightly. PS– if you go for a private party, don’t bring gifts. They ARENOTALLOWED. Ummm yea… thanks security.

Went here on 4÷25÷13 for a special dinner with my nephew from Texas before the Yankee-Jays game. All that can be said is that everything was superb! Pricy, but superb! We shared the onion rings stack for an appetizer. It was enough for 4 ppl. Crazy, looking more like a stack of donuts than rings. I posted a photo of this. We each got steaks. He got the 8 oz filet, me the 12 oz NY strip. We shared baked potato and asparagus sides. The steaks were grilled perfectly with a heavy char on the outside and juicy on the inside. Oh so tasty! Our waitress Katie, was lovely, very friendly, great sense of humor, helpful, and honest about everything we asked her. I love a server with opinions, and she was the best. All the servers couldn’t have been more accommodating. They all justified a great tip. I recommend getting there early before the game(2 – 3 hours) so you aren’t in the large crowd rush before the game. It’s not a romantic atmosphere. But if you’re a Yankees fan, its like a very high end sports bar with the Yes network on and great old photos and signature walls of the Yankees of years gone by. Save up your bucks and have a wonderfully delicious experience at NYY Steak. GOTHERE!!!
