Raine Lounge

If I don’t like a place I always try to, at minimum, find something nice to say. In this case, it is really tough. I went here twice and both times was just not good. 1^st experience, I had the quesadillas– they were topped with a very cheap tasting cheese sauce. I love cheese so I was insulted. Gave them another try and had the pasta. It was ok yet the sauce a lil too thick and that dries pasta out really quickly. But here’s the thing — the vibe in the place is off. Not sure if it’s the crowd (I witnessed 2 women arguing) the dated décor, the staff or all of the above but the energy sucks. I thought happy hour meant smiley faces and good times. Maybe a tip can be to check patrons attitudes upon entry.

Paid a $ 15 entrance fee on a Saturday night and we found the place half full. The spot is half lounge, half club with Morrocan style beds on one side, sit-​down high tables In the middle, and a balcony where the DJ plays his set and holds the VIP section. Raine is a small venue with a great décor that I think would actually make a great private party spot than to promote it as a big club party for the weekends. Reasonable priced drinks, the DJ is average and Hookahs are available to smoke. All in all, my girlfriends and I enjoyed ourselves but this spot isn’t as swanky as they would like you to believe.

Went here with a groupon and had a great time with my wife. Food, décor, service, music, and even the aroma of the place was great (their whole deal is a latin/​mediterrenean fusion so they had some incense going). We had mofongos, ribs, chicken and lamb skewers, and sangria. It was all pretty tasty, well presented and cooked nicely. I recommend this place for a dinner with your date if u live in the neighborhood.

One thing that pisses me off when places do no stick to their hours of operations. Its 7pm and your hours state. You are open 4pm to 11om however I just called Über to come patronize and you are closed. Bad business

First off, they’re rip offs. I used to come here years ago. It was nice, now its wack. I came last night, a Friday. My friend was celebrating her birthday. I called earlier to confirm what’s the latest time I can get there, my mistake, I didn’t get the women’s name whom I spoke to. I asked her about the birthday package my friend had, she confirmed everything and told me the latest I can get there is 1am. But to make sure I’m inside before 1am.
I arrived in the door at 12:55am, the guy at the door said $ 20. I’m confused now, I showed him the time and he shows me they wrote on the paper where they kept track of how many people paid, «free before 12:30» I’m mad but it’s my friends birthday. I paid. I asked to speak to the manager they refused to get him or her. They said it has nothing to do with the manager. Well then they need to get things straighten out before giving the wrong information to people. That’s why places fail.
Another guy said I had to put my tiny jacket in with the others at coat check. Argued with me and said well just give him $ 3 I’m like NO WAY. This jacket goes with my outfit and it’s not a coat. He was Very Rude! When i asked to speak to the manager he said your speaking to the Head Security.
Bad customer service.
Finally when he let me, he said «make sure you go over there far over there»! Pointing towards the bathroom. What an ass! As soon as I passed him, there were many people with coats on, also smoking weed and cigarettes! Disgusting!
So now I’m on the balcony with my friends, where we had a table and bottles. This area is open for anyone. By 2am everyone was up there with coats and smoking smh. It was over packed. No space to dance and enjoy her birthday.
The dj was playing good music, but only hip hop and R&B. Not any thing different. He also wouldn’t let people enjoy the music, he kept switching it every other second.
This place is over packed, I’m sure they were over the capacity. No birthday cake like most places have, we had no space to dance if we wanted. It took forever to get to the restroom.

I wish zero rating was a possibility. I just walked in with a group. I was told by the bouncer one story then the waitstaff another and then the manager another. Talk about robbing people. Moral of the story if you get a bottle and a hookah, basically the whole package, that doesn’t promise you any seats to sit on… I’ve gone to better and finer places. Thank God this was only a 30 mins experience. Fuck this place.

If you want to have a good time and enjoy some live Tipico, swing by Raine Lounge (170 W. 233 streeet) on Sundays around 8pm. It is really fun, and they have Happy Hour during the party, so it is a double win.

I Called «Dena» to confirm that this place would be open that evening due to heavy snow. They confirmed that they would be open. It was my Birthday and I and a few friends wanted to celebrate.
It was pretty much empty but we didnt mind. We purchased vip bottle service and spent over 500 DOLLARS in an empty lounge but again we didnt mind. We were having fun within our group. However, we did find it really disturbing that 2 hours later after we purchased all of these bottles and being charged they decided on closing because they felt like it.
I sent Dena an email and would think she would respond and atleast offer a credit but nothing. Great customer service.
I would never return nor advise anyone i know to support this place.
FYI — this happened 3 months ago but a friend just invited me here tonight and I just talked her out of celebrating here…

Everyone I know told me not to come here and I still came because I don’t like to listen. I am sorry for that.
Within the first 5 mins, a fight broke out between two dudes and all I was thinking was «why they wearing sneakers to the club?» Why were there broads in flats and uggs? I’m so confused
Charged me an 18% gratuity on my bottle that my boyfriend had to open and pour and the broad was no where to be found after she swiped my card.
Music was ass. Heard the same songs more than once. Not even a good mix of hip hop. There was barely any spanish music so you people who Unilocal’d it and said there was– you owe me $ 200.
Get a better DJ, make sure my waitress is at least going to ask if I’m alive halfway into my bottle and make sure the birds coming into your establishment don’t look like they just rolled outta bed. ICK. Shoulda gone to Phuket. SMFH

It was ehhh okay I guess. The music was good. It didn’t get packed until like 2:00am and when I say packed, maybe 30 people.

Eclectic mix… the VIP area was great. This place is small and the VIP area was dark. Besides this the places was nice. The DJ was good. Average priced drhnks.

I had my 21^st birthday here with all my family & friends. We bought the $ 450 birthday package that came with a bed that people can sit on, 4 Bottles, 2 Juices, & 1 hookah. They said the bed would fit 5 people but it barely fit 3 people. The bottles were great & full sized. They also have coat check for $ 3. This place gets really packed fast & the line gets crazy. But since i had a birthday package, i had my own VIP list & i didnt have to wait on a long line. The bathrooms are perfect! They are really clean & very nice. I had a lot of fun here & i plan on comming back another time. The pictures on the website make it seem like the place is huge! But honestly its quite small.

went last night for the 1^st time… had a great time. great music all night. reggaeton n hip hop n old school music too. danced all night. small place but great crowd. staff was also very friendly n accommodating. hookah n reasonably priced bottles. definitely will b returning…

Ok so I just celebrated my 25^th birthday here and I have to say that I wasn’t so happy. First I got to the lounge and the women told me the package I set up with the promoter was a lie and I was shortand one bottle. Ok fine then I was told I was suppose have two tables and she told me that in order to get 2 tables I have to buy another package. Ok fine if a promoter is representing ur lounge he should be an honest person. Then I was told this lounge was not a latin lounge but they played latin music all night. All together they played like an hour and of rap hip hop r&b raggae. Then the lady rushed me to pay the bill and never gave me my change back. I kind of got bad vibes because when I tried to contact the lounge they took forever to contact me back them they said I have to pay up front to hold the table. I have never heard that before from any lounge. I was not treated any special way and at the end I didn’t even ge a birthday cake every one got one except me and I can see they spent the same money I did. Kind of rude but since I spent my money I just forced myself to have a good time but I don’t really think this is a lounge for any one who wants to have a special celebration just to hang out.

Hello we went to Raine for my boyfriend’s birthday party on a Saturday night and we all had a blast. In a last minute scramble, one of the promoter’s here really made sure everything went smoothly. It was definitely a night to remember!!!
As mentioned by others the décor is really nice and the place is well maintained. The music was really good, a little bit of everything. Bottle service was also reasonably priced.

Décor is great. Restrooms were well managed. Loved the crowd and the music. Drinks were on point. I would make another trip back up there!!!
