Had a family size pizza delivered while watching packers vs. Cardinals game with family. Also had an order of mozzarella sticks. Pizza crust not unlike stale saltine crackers. Too much Sauce that lacked any flavor. Sausage also lacked flavor. Should of tossed out the pizza and ate the box. Not sure if late night heartburn was from the pizza or the Packer debacle.

I have been to Marty’s quite a few times over the years. This is a landmark in Brookfield WI on Bluemound Rd. The pizza is over all good, the garlic bread I Would consider below average. The atmosphere is busy and what you would expect out of a local pizza joint. If you’re in town looking to try a pizza local to the area skip the chains and stop in here!

Sorry Marty, just NOT a fan of your pizza. Especially after having some amazing cracker crust type pizza in Racine and Ned’s in Milwaukee. This crust was flavorless with a big hit of flour at the end. Maybe it would have been better if we ate in the restaurant instead of having it delivered. Don’t think I’d try this again.

Well we’ve all heard the commercials on the radio. The place is a Brookfield staple. So we had to check it out at least once since we wanted Italian while shopping around here, a few weeks ago. Inside it reminded me of an 80s Pizza Hut. I don’t think they’ve updated since then. Service was ok, average I guess. We didn’t try their famous pizza so i can’t comment on that. I had a chicken parm sandwich. It was pretty good but a bit plain. My daughter had their lasagna, it was ok but greasy. Garlic bread was ok, light on garlic, heavy on butter. So overall it was average. Not sure bout pizza

In town for business and was in the mood for Italian food. I thought about pizza but didn’t want to be stuck with leftovers in my hotel. I decided to get the lasagna and meatballs. I don’t know what they do to their sauce but it is very sweet but also very salty. The meatballs had a gummy consistency. The only saving grace was the garlic bread. I hate to be harsh on family owned restaurants but this was just awful. I’m in town for a few more days. I’ll be sure stay away from this place.

I’m not a fan of the thin dough and when I first opened the box, I thought to myself, «why would somebody eat pizza that has paper-thin dough?» I went to grab a square slice(yeah, they cut it into squares… a square pizza cut into square slices) and all the accoutrements just fell off it. I literally needed a spoon or a fork just to pick up all the ingredients. Great tasting pizza, but they need to work on their dough, thicker or at least crispy so that the ingredients don’t fall off. I am a pizza lover/connoisseur and this was the first time I was actually disappointed in a pizza. 2 star review because of 1) the taste and 2) because they have an extensive menu with various sizes of pizza, including the FIVEFOOTPIZZA! The garlic bread is pretty good too, crispy and covered with gooey mozzarella cheese. Four pieces of the bread is like half the loaf…

I read some of the positive reviews on here and was looking forward to trying the pizza. Unfortunately, I found the pizza to be very bland. The crust was very floury and the sausage to be less cooked than I prefer. There was too much sauce and it lacked any kind of pizazz. The small pizza was actually quite generous in size, but I would rather less pizza with better flavor.

The pizza was average at best. They use frozen veggies on the pie. The crust was over cooked and tasted like card board. Unimpressed.

I admit– pizza is not a favorite food, but when I crave pizza– I want good pizza. No– I want awesome pizza. Walk into Marty’s and it is your stereotypical pizza restaurant. Dated interior, red pleather seats… Yada, yada, yada. But after that– Excellence. Our server was so friendly and the pizza was perfect. I mean– I loved everything about it! Thin crust, awesome sauce, but they cooked it to absolute perfection; veggies crunchy, crust crispy, and the perfect brown. Highly recommend a stop here– and it is family/kid friendly!

Nice family, sit-down place. They have daily specials, which are nice! We ordered a family-size pizza, and enjoyed it overall. They also have gluten-free pizza crust, which my brother ordered and said was fine. The pizza wasn’t out of this world, but it was quite yummy. Only constructive criticism I have was that the pizza took forever to make(which, to their defense, it does say on the menu to expect 20min). It took about 40min for ours and then an additional 10min for the individual pizza my brother ordered. So don’t go if you’re starving/expect a wait!

Our new favorite! We’re new to the area and this place is close to my husband’s office. The boys love the breadsticks and cheese pizza, husband loves pretzel sticks and pizza, and the veggie pizza is delicious. Nice atmosphere for a family dinner and super convenient to take home. We’re regulars now!

I have been all over the U.S. and Europe, and THIS is my favorite pizza. It is expensive, but ohhhh so good. This was the location closest to my University, but I got hooked on the location just outside Oconomowoc. I loved their sausage, mushroom, and onion pizza. I sometimes added black olives and anchovies.

I’m a bit of a food snob so make of this review what you will. That said I think it’s pretty hard to mess up pizza so as far the pizza goes, it’s B+. I was in the mood for Italian, so I ordered the antipasto(4 slices of tomato, 10 slices of pepperoni, 5 pepperoncinis, some sliced onion, few black olives, sprinkled mozzarella, on a mound of ice berg lettuce and the spaghetti and meat balls(soggy fat noodles slathered in sicky sweet marinara). It was just OK. Olive Garden or Carrabbas might be better choices in Brookfield.

Wow. Found myself in Milwaukee for a workshop. Decided to order to my hotel. I travel extensively for work so I think I’ve become a bit jaded when it comes to trying out new pizza joints. I rarely post unless absolutely necessary– and this is one of those times!!! Ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo pizza tonight with less-than-hopeful expectations. Whoa, was I wrong!!! I’ll upload a pic as I feel it will speak for itself. Somebody knew what they were doing when they built this. Even though the broccoli had to endure baking in an oven it arrived at my door green, flavorful and perfectly al dente. The chicken was moist(sorry to use the word for those who can’t appreciate its diction), and the Alfredo sauce hadn’t evaporated into thin air like most others tend to do. And yeah, it tasted even better than it looked…

FINALLY!!! I’ve been travelling to Chicagoland for 4 – 5 years(can’t really remember exactly how long and you don’t really care that much, I’m fairly sure) and to Eastern Wisconsin for just over a year. I Unilocal for everything I do so I can avoid what I can get exactly the same at home in N. KY(Cincinnati area). We have a huge chain there(LaRosa’s) that is awesome and I’ve been trying to find a better pie as a reward for my travels. We have a WINNER! I had the UberDeluxe(of whatever they call the super deluxe) with bacon instead of olives. It was even cool the way they asked which bacon I wanted, «Canadian or breakfast»…Duh, Breakfast! The toppings were all extremely FRESH. That is sooo important. The crust was thin but not too thin. Honestly, I don’t even know if there was a choice. It was just chewy, and crispy, enough. It didn’t have that objectionable cornmeal taste I’ve gotten elsewhere. I actually called the order in from the bar at the local joint«Bullwinkle’s», where I HAVE to go when in the area, if only for a single beer — they have Moose Drool on tap! If you’ve never had this smooth Montana brown ale, you’re missing out! I’ve just seen a few single-star reviews for service but they were great to me. My special request was to borrow a wine opener since I flew on this trip and the TSA does not take kindly to corkscrews. If you’re a traveling salesman looking for a pizza worthy of substitute for the trip out to the local Carabba’s/Outback/Bonefish/anywhere Mexican cocina, get yourself a pie from Marty’s like the guy here at the Hampton desk insisted I do, without hesitation. I just wish it wasn’t sooo good that I had to eat the whole dang thang. It was heavy at 10 sq. in. and was truly enough for 2 eaters. I’m pleasantly stuffed.

I have always been a fan of Marty’s, back in the old days it was all the Marty’s you could eat Monday. A friend of mine and I used to come here twice a month. Those days are over, but I still love Marty’s the same. Through many travels, still to this day Marty’s still has by far the best sausage pizza that I have ever eaten and is the only sausage pizza I will eat. I still love a few slices of a pie up in NYC or Chicago, but even there I stick to vegetarian or Hawaiian. Yes pizza is not healthy, so I rarely eat it nowadays, however if you are in a mood for some pizza and like sausage, you will love their sausage pizza! [Review #185]

While visiting Wisconsin for business, I didn’t have a rental car and didn’t want to get a taxi so I decided to order some pizza. I am a pizza snob! The pizza was ok. Not horrible but not good either. I’ve never had a pizza that was just unable to eat but I’ve had some pretty bad pizza! There was way to much sauce and not that much flavor. The crust was bland and nothing special. I have always heard that when you are up in Wisconsin you must try cheese curds, I love cheese so I though why not. I got an order of fried cheese curds. They were also bland. I was expecting something with more of a cheese flavor, since it is cheese.(I did get to try some fresh cheese curds which were super yummy!)
