Love this place! Enza is a fantastic hairstylist and colorist!!! She has been coloring and cutting my hair for years. Enza really listens and never cuts more than you ask for. The girls that wash your hair are all very nice but the water pressure in the salon is not always so great. It comes out ‘light’ and then the temperature is not always right. I’m guessing it is because they are busy and they are using their washer and dryer which may effect the water pressure. Overall, this is a friendly salon and I would recommend Enza to anyone.

I bought a Groupon for a haircut. I usually don’t take risks with my hair by going to new salons but for some reason decided to trust this place. Good thing! They didn’t disappoint. :)

The worst place to get a keratin treatment. They are expensive and inexperienced. I got the treatment which took so long because the guy was doing other people’s hair at the same time. I followed all of their instuctions and didnt wash for the 3 days and used the proper shampoo and conditioner. The results were not that great right from the start. However, by the third week my hair was worse than it was before the treatment. I went back to the place and the guy was really nasty. I of course will never go back and i’m seriously suggesting that no one go there for anything because of the nastiness that permeats the place.

I had my wedding bridal party have their hair and make up done including my own and I could not have been happier with everyone from my seven year old to my 65 year old mom. Casey is my stylist there and she is absolutely unbelievable. She worked with me for almost a year to get the most perfect color and highlights and helped to create the most perfect bridal half up and down hair style. She is patient and kind and really knows what she doing. I will not trust anyone else. I had also been to Andrea before Casey, but she left for a short time and I was lucky enough to find Casey, but Andrea is back and I love her too. Casey is a perfectionist and will take as much time as she can to make sure you are happy when you leave and will be honest when you want to try and color or cut she may not think will work. They are very expensive for the neighborhood and wish their prices weren’t as high but because of Casey I will keep going there. Salon is small now that they moved but they make the space work. Again it is very pricey but its small price to pay to trust your hairstylist and have faith that every time you leave you are happy. And Joseph who does the make up made us all look so beautiful and he was so quick, we were all done with our hair and make up almost 45 minutes early. Would be 5 stars if not so crazy expensive

I used to come to this salon years ago, and stopped going because they became very expensive. I saw a groupon and decided to give them another try. It was for $ 90 and included a haircut, full head of highlights, conditioning treatment, and blow-dry. The highlights came out okay, but haircut was absolutely horrible. I was extremely disappointed. I actually left the place crying. I went to Matt and will never be going back again. My bangs were all butchered, and my long layers were uneven.

A Groupon purchase recently prompted my coming to this salon. Initially, I was very pleased with its appearance and the location is great. I have lived in Brooklyn for a long time, and never knew that this salon existed so close to Kings Plaza. It really is a great location. While I was very excited for my cut, trim, and deep condition, I was not impressed at all with the service. They thought that they had a problem reading my groupon(when the reality is that they never actually put it though and just thought that I had a missing digit). They interrupted me 4 times to see the groupon again… That, I can get over. I went to wash my hair and the girl that washed it was apparently new. She didn’t wash all of the conditioner out of my hair. My stylist took me to the chair, proceeded to cut my hair, and kept asking me if it looked straight to me. I found this odd. Then 20 minutes into blow drying, she asked if I wanted to return back to the chair to wash my hair again. I really just wanted to get the service over with and didn’t go back to re-wash. Overall, this could have become my new go– to salon since I am having trouble finding one that is good and conveniently located in Brooklyn. My service, however, sorta ruined it for me and I will not be returning. This review is based on my experience with the specific girl that worked on my hair. It looks like there were many other people there(the salon was full on a Saturday) who were content with their stylists.

I went to Concept Elite to get my eyebrows waxed yesterday. They have three women who do the waxing upstairs and they’re hardly ever there. Just when you get used to one person and how they do it, you’re forced to see someone else. Also come to find out that they’re moving in April across the street to a much smaller space! They’re downsizing so I wonder what services are gonna be cut?!

LOOVEEEE this salon! I had Sandra color my hair and she is absolutely AMAZING! I will never get my hair colored anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They listen to exactly what you want and give their professional input to help you make a decision. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

I’ve had a great experience dealing with Rick at Concept Elite. I was ready to chop my hair off but he recommended layers to help me manage my curls along with styling tips and products. He is the only one to touch my hair from now on. They also do a great job with my waxing but it was a bit pricey compared to the usual nail place however they look so good that I don’t mind as much!

I came here about a year ago on the recommendations of my coworkers after having a number of bad experiences at my(former) regular salon. I think a lot of people know how difficult it is to switch hairdressers, especially when you’ve used someone for a long time, like their work and trust them. Doubly so when you have difficult curly hair like mine! So I was in the market for a new hairdresser and called to make my first appointment, explaining my curly hair, and they booked me with Enza. Well. remember how I just said I was happy with my old stylist? I don’t even know why, since this is honestly the best my hair has looked in my entire life. Enza is fantastic — she does a great consultation and I’m always happy when I leave — I love my color, love my cut, love the blowouts… and I can’t even do justice to the magnificent updo she gave me for my cousin’s wedding. I’ve had three or four updos there, and they’ve all been different, yet all been exactly what I wanted, lasted all day, and looked beautiful. The salon itself has seen better days — it’s definitely in need of a facelift and some modernization, but it’s not difficult to overlook when you’re so pleased with the service. And this is my very public plea for them to bring back their salon brand of Fanelli products — I can’t explain how much I love the leave-in treatment Enza uses in my hair and I’m completely heartbroken that I can’t get it anymore. Please bring it back!!!

I haven’t been to Concept Elite in several years, but they’ve won me back! Got a beautiful cut and highlights from Enza, who specializes in thick, wavy hair(but can style anyone’s hair perfectly). Everyone there was incredibly nice, and the receptionist was kind enough to schedule extra time for me given the work I was having done, and the type of hair I have. I will be back for sure. The only reason I didn’t add a 5th star is that the salon itself could use a makeover, but then again I think they got hit with some Sandy water damage in the basement so it could be in a transitional phase.

Wow, I haven’t been here in awhile but I’m really glad I came back! I think it’s safe to say that this will be my go-to salon from now on. I went yesterday for a waxing and a manicure, but unfortunately the nail lady was out, so it was just a waxing(eyebrows and UL). The esthetician I got was Marcia, and I will probably never go to anyone else! She is fabulous with a fabulous, friendly personality. I don’t know if it was because it was my first time with her, or if she does this with every client, but she told me what she was doing every step of the way and always wanted to know my input, which I apperciated personally because most other estheticians, at least in my experience, just do their own thing, but Marcia really cared about my opinion and if I liked the shape, etc. which I definitely did! PS: make sure you tell her about anything you are using on your skin!!! For example I use Retin-A cream on my face, which can pull off your skin when you wax but after I told her we used precautions(she put baby powder around my eyebrow area, which I usually did which other waxers) and I had absolutely no irritation after. Make sure you check the ingredients in any face wash or cream you use and tell the esthetician — its important!!!

I had a mani-pedi here today. I usually go to a regular nail salon and not a place that is mainly hair but this place was close and there was no wait. Pros: High tech massage chair, with lots of bells and whistles. They offered coffee/tea and offered magazines. The manicurist was polite and spoke English. The salon seems clean. Cons: Shitty pedicure. Seriously, I have never had worse callus removal in my entire life, she swiped a file on my feet for literally 30 seconds. Lotion application was maybe one minute. My cuticles look better but my soles look exactly the same. I’ve done way better in my bathroom with a Ped-egg. Amateurish polish application. Bottom Line: I know this isn’t some high end spa and it was a cheap $ 35 mani-pedi, but I’ve gotten way better for the same price. I could have just gotten a polish change for a few bucks and had the same results.

I used to go to Concept Elite for years until my stylist moved to Florida. Since then, I haven’t found anyone who I really clicked with, nor have I found anyone who has impressed me with their styling skills. I feel like this salon could use a makeover itself. And quite frankly, I feel like every time I go there, I get pretty much the same haircut as every other woman… the«Real housewives of Brooklyn» special. Also, I’ve had issues with reception… because my hair is really long, I ask for extra time when making an appointment. But no matter how many times I ask, when I get to a stylist, they sigh and whine that they have another appointment right after me and scold me that I should ask for extra time, when I did. It’s very annoying. How hard can it be to reserve a block of time properly?

I’m going to make this short for now. I’ve been going to Concept Elite for many years now. I get my hair cut and dyed. The service is great, very friendly and nice. Nice clean environment. I even had the boss himself work on my hair when they were short staffed. Tony is a very nice man with a wonderful sense of humor. I definitely recommend this hair salon to other people. A+++
