Worst Chinese delivery service ever. They made me wait an hour till I got irritated and called to cancel. Do not ever call for delivery when hungry! Wish I can give 0 stars.

Oh how this breaks my heart. I’ve been getting takeout from here weekly for the past three years. They were my go to. I felt like they were part of the family… until… Tuesday night and I ordered my usual. 1am on Wednesday morning I awoke nauseous and proceeded to throw up on the hour for the next 15 hours. I am also 7 months pregnant and as a result ended up in the emergency room where I got two IVs, zofran, a 250 copay, and a diagnosis of food poisoning . 3 years and this is how you do me? Never again, dragon chi… never ever again.

I’ve ordered from here twice. Both times the steamed pork dumplings were underdone. The pizza rolls the first time were pretty good, the second time, hard as a rock, like they were deep fried a second time or microwaved. The roast pork buns were ok, just not a decent amount of pork filling. The hot and sour soup is ok, it needs more flavor, kind of bland, I’ve had better.

This is the best Chinese food I have found around Bay Ridge. Believe me, I have tried other spots out of convenience and have regretted not coming here instead. I don’t know what it is, the food is tastier. When I get the general tso here, the sauce is just right not too sweet and a bit spicy just the way I like it. The chicken wings and french fries is also my go to. Although the service here varies. Sometimes the cashier is nice and sometimes he isn’t. It depends on the day. However, it does not really matter to me. I never ate in here, I have always come here for take out. As long as the food remains to my satisfaction, we will always have a take out relationship. I will be back on a rainy day when I am craving tasty, greasy food. Dragon China, you complete me when I feel like stuffy my face on a cold rainy night or just when I feel like being fat.

I have lived in Dyker Heights over a year and haven’t found great Chinese food until tonight. Tonight I found Dragon City. General Tso’s is amazing! Delivery was fast!

AVOID!!! I’ve tried many Chinese take out restaurants in Bay Ridge and this is by far the best in taste. HOWEVER, the people here are disgusting! As I’m waiting for my food to be prepared, the cook actually picks something out of my food and throws it to the ground and then steps on it. It was a roach!!! Then he continues on preparing my food as if nothing happened!!! Needless to say I walked out and called 311 on their butts!

Dragon China has decent Chinese food, and maybe one of the better Chinese fast food restaurants in Bay Ridge. However, good food doesn’t make up for sanitary issues. After eating my decent dish of Chicken with Broccoli, I was ready to actually say this place wasn’t too bad, until I noticed a guy in the back was clipping his nails in the kitchen. My boyfriend and I were in absolute shock as the guy continued to casually clip his nails INTHEKITCHEN. Needless to say, I don’t think I will be coming back here again.

I’ve been going here for at least a dozen years. Never had a problem — until today. The cook is ready to ladle my Chow Mein into the container and he starts flicking something out of the wok with the ladle. He does this several times. I can’t see what he’s trying to remove but there sure were a lot of them. Finally in his frustration, HEPICKSITOUTOFTHEPANWITHHISFINGERS. WITH. HIS. FINGERS. Looks around nervously, sees me looking then grabs a pair of tongs to finish his surgical maneouver then ladles the stuff into the container. Nope. Nope. Nope. I ask for my money back. The cashier relays the info to the cook who has that«I just got busted» look on his face and spikes the order like a football into the garbage can. Goodbye Dragon, hello any one of a zillion other places within walking distance.

I love to get Chinese takeout late nights and this is one place I have gone to consistently because of the fair prices and good food. You will have a hard time finding a better deal. For chicken and broccoli and wonton soup it’s good and their new Cantonese soup menu its decent too. I have been to many places for my standard order but few places match the food quality and price of Dragon China.

So the only thing stopping me from giving one star is that the food tasted decent. Before I get into why, let me say that I had my food delivered, I did not eat there. First issue was I called sometime after placing my order since it seemed to be taking long, trouble is they didn’t answer. Second issue, the delivery dude was a prick. He showed up and rang the doorbell repeatedly until my girlfriend went to the door. When she opened the door he practically threw the food at her and harshly asked for a signature. Then he snatched the paper and stormed off. For a place that was closed by the dept. of health just a month ago, for having rodents and roaches all over the place, you would think they’d be doing a better job at trying to make sure they satisfy customers. Sadly I found out about their hygiene issues after I ate the food while researching them on Unilocal so I can write this review. Not worth trying, considering the multitude of much better Chinese takeout places in the area. And the fact that they are dirty and rude f##ks. See it for yourselves… Be sure to check out the inspection results for April

I’m not a Chinese takeout connoisseur, but I think Dragon China is great! I rarely order Chinese because past experiences were salty, oily and left me feeling sickly. Not so at Dragon! Both the man on the phone taking orders and the delivery guy were super nice, and delivery was hella fast! I had the Kung Pao chicken which had lots of tasty sauce and vegetables, it was hot and the ingredients were very fresh! The dinner specials are a GREAT deal! Highly recommend! :)

So I’ve always thought that Dragon China had some improving to do on their cleanliness issue, but it’s a fast food Chinese take out place, so I tried to manage my expectations. Until, a few days ago when the store closed, telling patrons that it was because they were having an issue with their«gas line.» They have no visible health violation notices posted, but, being suspicious, I looked it up myself on the NYC Dept of Mental Health and Hygenie Website( )(which, btw is amazing, you can look up any restaurant in the city). Sure enough, they had been CLOSED by the the DMMH, and while there are nine different violations, the two most telling? I’ll let you look it up if you want to be thoroughly repulsed. Moved to Bay Ridge recently. Scouted the Chinese restaurants in the area and settled on Dragon China as a favorite. Great prices and great service. We order from them at least once a week. Menu has a lot of variety. Something to please everyone.

I grew up in Bay Ridge, and have had family in the neighborhood all my life. I estimate that a good 75+ of the Chinese food I’ve had in my life has come From Dragon China. Trust me. Nobody on Unilocal knows Dragon China like I do. I have the menu in front of me right now and I’ve had 59 of their dishes. Yes, 59. To give you a little bit of history, Dragon China has had three distinct periods in its lifetime. I can’t place exact dates or even years, but it goes like this: When Dragon China opened up, it was obvious that they rocked. In fact, they stole all the Chinese-food business we used to send to the guys that used to be on 84th Street and 3rd Avenue. Then at some point in the mid-90’s, Dragon China went downhill, descending into the wide swath of mediocre Chinese food that dominates much of Bay Ridge. You know what I’m talking about — the mushy slop that’s not even good for filling you up. However, about five years ago, Dragon China put it’s game face back on and upped their quality back to where it was when the joint opened. New management? New chef? I don’t know and I don’t care, but suffice it to say that Dragon China is firing on all cylinders once again. I no longer order from Dragon China simply because it’s close to me. I order because they make lightning-fast deliveries, they never screw up orders, and the food is cheap and tasty. Dragon China’s menu does not reach the otherworldly heights of the best places in Chinatown, but it is great for what it is — a purveyor of mass-market oriented Chinese food. As I stated above, I’ve consumed a huge portion of Dragon China’s menu items, and they excel at almost everything — including the non-Chinese parts of the menu.(get the crispy white-meat chicken!) Dragon China makes awesome spare ribs, fantastic chicken & broccoli, and I lust after the orange beef on a regular basis. They also cook up great dumplings and pepper steak, and if you go on the right day, the fried chicken is pretty magical. The Mongolian beef is also pretty damn good. When I want to go all out, I go for Happy Family — the smörgåsbord of shrimp, lobster meat, chicken, beef, pork, and vegetables that was an outrage to my late mother’s Depression-era mentality regarding food. And unlike some other Chinese restaurants that shall remain nameless, Dragon China is not cheap with the Won Tons when you order a pint of soup. I’m being completely serious here. There are some Chinese restaurants that believe you can get away with giving customers three Won Tons in a pint of soup. Not Dragon China — they always give me five. So take it from me. If you can’t trust a guy who won’t screw you over on the Won-Ton count, who can you trust? Dragon China, you’ll always have my heart. Sigh…

I thought this food was GREAT. We ordered a TON of food(beef with broccoli, lo mein, moo shi, rice and crab rangoons) and it came to under $ 30. The delivery was super fast. I loved everything about the food. Sometimes I find that Chinese food is too salty or too oily, etc(just in some way misses the mark) but this was really great. I would definitely order from here again.
