Had a really great sandwich(the zappie) from here yesterday. My colleague got the smoked salmon sandwich and he was pleased with as well. I think that they could get away with charging a dollar or 2 more for their sandwiches. I hope that they don’t though!

2 stars as it is WAY overpriced for the area(4.50 for an iced tea?!?). Thanks, but no. Even 5 bucks for a small latte that tasted mediocre is highway robbery. Try eagle trading co or bakeri instead.

Quiet, tucked away in Greenpoint so it’s not too hipsterish and irritating. Minimal seating but just enough to chill. I normally get a coffee, sandwich and chips. There will be a longgg wait time but that’s because they are carefully crafting your brew or food. Be patient! Positive atmosphere all around and great experience. Also NOWIFI but who cares you don’t need it here.

This place appears as just a typical coffee shop… but behold, the Chi Chi is the best sandwich with the worst name on Manhattan Ave. The mushroom sandwich is really good too. Definitely worth going to!

Small coffee shop that has Toby’s estate coffee and snacks. There are a mix of hot and cold sandwiches. I would recommend the chichi or any of their breakfast sandwiches(served until 3). They always mess up my order to pay extra attention when they repeat your order or make your beverage.

Great coffee, good food for both lunch and breakfast. The outdoor patio is super cute. Love this place for a quick bite! Recently I had the croissant egg sandwich and it was amazing! The staff are so friendly and kind. I love coming in here.

I would love to give this café 5 stars — it really has a lot of potential — but their service is just so damn slow, their prices too high($ 3 for a bagel w/cream cheese? $ 10 I recommend Soft skills training for your staff. I totally understand people have bad days but please don’t take it out on a paying customer.25 cents extra for two peaces of ice in my coffee that is nuts i will not go back Sorry for you Keep it up with the bad customer service and you will keep losing customersThey completely forgot about my order after waiting twenty minutes for my wrap. «did you order something?» Indeed I did. But this is the last order.

I called in for lunch for the first time a few weeks ago. I got the chichi sandwich, it was pretty nice but a little pricey. The coffee on the other hand is amazing. I’ve called back in a few times since. Convenient location. Staff all seemed friendly enough.

This place has delicious pulled pork. There’s a lovely backyard area. I went here with a couple of friends and the service was super!

Early is a small take-out place for coffee and sandwiches. It’s right next to the G station at India Street(west side of Manhattan), making it hella convenient for North Brooklynites heading south in the morning. There are a few tables in front and a patio in back. Though neither is super inviting. It’s comfortable enough to eat at, but not the kind of place you want to stick around all day. Sandwiches range from $ 7 for bacon egg and cheese(tasty, but nothing to rave about) to $ 10 for pulled pork. Vegetarian options available. Didn’t try the coffee. True to their name, their open at 7am, 8am on weekends, and close by 5pm.

I just ate one of the best Caprese sandwiches I’ve ever had in NYC at Early. Lemon-herb chicken, fresh mozz just barely melted, pesto, arugula, and balsamic on a thick, still-warm roll of bread — mmm! And it came out quickly too. With a casual and friendly ambiance, Early is great for a quick(or leisurely paced!) lunch or grabbing a coffee and muffin. Love the tunes they were bumping too!

The coffee is on point. All of their staff seem to really know how to prepare every caffeinated beverage and are always smiling and helpful. Their iced coffee is my favorite, just take it black, so much flavor and not at all bitter. Quality seems to drip* down throughout their menu. I have had, to date, about half of their sandwiches and each one gets better than the next. I must say the ChiChi is my current favorite. It may seem a little pricey at first for just a sandwich, but after actually eating them, you will taste the difference in quality. It is not just a coffee shop that serves a few sandwiches, both types of items receive the same priority in care and crafting. Oh and chat with their manager Pete, he is a really cool, chill dude.

OHMEGERD best iced chai latte i’ve ever had in my life. This place is small, and their backyard is nothing to scream about. That said, every sandwich looked amazing, and I did not regret my avocado sandwich. They were even nice enough to add chicken. Also, like all good coffee shops, they played awesomely soothing hipster music.

Starting to get really disappointed with how this place is run. I can agree with the fact that they can’t serve a breakfast sandwich post noon, but now they are running out of bread after already submitting orders. I walked out with a sandwich on sourdough because they ran out of 7 grain again. My advice is simple: We live in NYC, so have your peeps run out and grab another loaf or the crowd is going back to where they went before you opened up!

I welcome Early to the neighborhood! Beautiful space, delicious sandwiches for breakfast and/or lunch, and Toby’s Estate coffee. Personally, I find Toby’s Estate coffee a little too mild for my taste and still prefer Upright Coffee in Greenpoint, but I think it’s the sandwiches that excites me about Early! Within the span of a month of discovery, I have returned for several sandwiches. I’ve had all 3 breakfast sandwiches before and they’re all good! My favorite is the Kwa’son though – I love the goats cheese touch on a classic! I’m excited to try all the lunch sandwiches too! It’s fresh, made to order, and just well prepared. I appreciate that! I definitely see myself as a regular here. Happy with the neighborhood addition!

After spotting a pic of the Zappie in an AMny article on new NY restaurant openings, I couldn’t resist trying it out. It was really good, very rich between the mushrooms, fontina and truffle oil. Early is a quaint coffee, tea and sandwich shop. It has a rustic warm interior, with equally warm staff. There are a few breakfast sandwiches and some vegan/non-vegan baked goods on offer for the early birds. Vegetarians have a few options amongst the lunch sandwiches, if you eat cheese that is. I’m looking forward to trying their coffee and some other item on the menu!
