I am so, so sad to see Brooklyn Label close. It was a go to for amazing brunch. Their hot sauces were incredible– as was their food. Wah!

We love you Brooklyn Label! We patiently await your return. In the meantime, we just have to chop all that kale ourselves, and, boy, are our arms tired.

The kale salad is a go to for me, and the added steak is usually properly cooked. I also like their arugula and beet salad. 5 stars for being one of the only places that delivers lunch that is packed with greens and protein. Minus one star for filling the soup bowls not even ¾ of the way. The soup is ok, but I stopped ordering it because they are so stingy. It’s not like it’s super cheap, $ 6.50 should get you a properly filled soup! In the end it is slightly overpriced for the amount of food in general but it is also pretty good and healthy and there aren’t a ton of options like that in the area that deliver.

Endroit très sympa dans greenpoint. Très bon accueil la serveuse est super souriante. On attend pas. La deco est vintage comme dans bcp d’endroits ici. Je choisi un capuccino très bon ainsi que des pancakes énormes et également très bons. Rien a redire

I was in the area for work and stopped in for a coffee to go. Seems like a pretty quaint coffee/dessert café. They had a seating area and a bar as well. I will be back to try the dessert after seeing the pictures of them on Unilocal.I didn’t notice them, I just ordered from the counter.

Their food is beautifully put together, probably because they know all the hipsters are instagramming their meals. Chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros, I checked other customers dishes while on the way to the table and it all looked great. You may be waiting a while to be seated, but the place is popular, so it’s to be expected. Really nice ambience, good lighting(not enough restaurants with natural lighting these days), and a menu with a lot of interesting choices!

My friends and I took the wrong subway line and ended up in Greenpoint confused and hungry. Thanks to Unilocal I was able to find a place for brunch blocks from the G train. Upon entering we were told that there would be about a 20 minute wait. We didn’t mind and within 2 minutes we were able to be seated(yes!!). My friends and I were a little indecisive, mainly because we were so hungry. We eyed up all of our neighbors dishes and had a really hard time deciding on what to get. I finally decided to order the goat cheese omelette filled with avocado and tomato. My omelette did not come with a side of potatoes which is what I would normally expect. Instead it came with a mixed green salad and a light vinegar dressing. No flavorless iceberg lettuce in this salad. The salad was so fresh, it reminded me of a salad that I would make at home. So why 3 stars versus 4 or even 5? The service. The servers were all nice but we had to wait what seemed like forever to get our food. When we finally got our food they forgot my toast and said it would be out shortly. My toast never came out. As I looked around at the other diners it didn’t seem like their food was taking as long to come out.

Stumptown coffee. Great place to relax and bring a group of friends and have breakfast/brunch.

Great for brunch, large portions and great coffee. They also have a pretty stellar Bloody Mary. Super cute interior, the staff is very sweet — I drag all my friends here. And most importantly THEHASHBROWNSCOMEINTHEFORMOF A BALL.

A friend told me about this place awhile back and I had been meaning to go for awhile. Since my mom is in town I figured it was a good time to try it. We came early evening and it wasn’t too packed. The vibe is laid back but classy, so this would be a good date spot or happy hour place to go with friends. My mom and I started by sharing a drink but we weren’t really feeling it, and our waiter was gracious about bringing us a different one to try. Then we had the Midnight Bike Ride which was awesome! Same for the food: pulled pork tacos and Mac and cheese with bacon and Brussels sprouts. We shared a flan for dessert and it was so good we had to get a second one. We will be back :)

Wish there were a 0 star rating! I specifically asked for my delivery order to include poached runny eggs instead of fried eggs. I got poached eggs that were of hard boil consistency. I called and a girl who sounded stoned with an attitude made a number of lame excuses like the eggs cooked on the way, I live 5 blocks away and an egg does not hard boil on its own. They refused to delivery another order with correctly cooked poached eggs. We go to brunch here 2 – 3 times a month and I have had this dish many times in the way I ask it to be prepared. With this type of customer service, they just lost 2 very good customers!

After paying 6.50 for an order of soup and getting a container 1⁄3 full I felt compelled to write something. This place has consistently been screwing up my orders for as long as I’ve been coming here. Bagel with lox and capers? Not a complicated order, yet they’ll omit the capers 9⁄10 times. Sometimes I wouldn’t even receive dishes that I ordered. I’ve given this place too many chances. The food is decent and the staff friendly but you can never count on them getting a simple order right. If getting four sips of soup for 6.50 sounds like a deal to you, you’ll love this place.

This was a random place we stumbled into for a quick bite. However, I wound up staying for an hour and a half, just finishing up my food and reading on my cell phone. The food was delicious and the service was good. The location was pretty chill and it was nice that no one rushed me to go. I would give it 5 stars but it was so cold inside.

Went here after a friend who lives nearby suggested it as being amazing. I, however, did not find it amazing, and sort of over-priced. Got a burger($ 13) and the pulled pork adobada($ 14) off brunch menu. I should probably mention I did not eat these alone, I had some help. :S The brioche bun was so dry on the burger which was too bad because the rest of the burger wasn’t bad. The taste of the sauce on the pulled pork plate was eh, which I think was the deciding factor in what could have been a great dish. The pulled pork itself was tasty as well as the other ingredients such as the guacamole, sour cream, etc. There are so many great places that do brunch around here that I don’t think I would give this place another shot, unfortunately.

Coffee and lox bagel — morning and night. Some waiters and waitresses could cared less. Four stars goes to food and ambience only.

This is a great café/brunch spot. It was pretty crowded at 1pm on a Saturday but we were still seated right away. It’s very cozy and rustic inside. The brunch menu is superb– heavy on egg dishes which is perfect. I ordered the burger which was really really delicious and topped with atypical burger toppings like wine braised onions, gorgonzola and chipotle aioli. I didn’t try any of their coffee drinks or pastries but everything looked superb. The service was really friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to come back!

I think this place is underrated. I sat at the bar and felt every aspect of my experience here was fantastic. Atmosphere is really warm and inviting. Service was great and the little food we did order was awesome! In our drunken stupor, we ordered the fries and got custom chef-prepared dipping sauces! SOGOOD. There was a chipotle one he did that was especially good. Chef came out to see how we liked his dips and we couldn’t stop exclaiming over how much better they all were than just plain olé mayo! Our bartender was also fantastic. She was constantly checking in on us and was super friendly & pretty hilarious. My companion had already gone there that morning for brunch and was raving about it, so I plan on definitely coming back to try that out. The brunch(and regular) menus looked yummy, so I really don’t know why this place doesn’t get more street cred… maybe it’s because there are SO many amazing places in this area? All I know is that it deserves more praise than what its current rating might suggest.

I used to LOVE this place. Just love love love the hell out of it, but every time I come here something goes completely wrong and I have to question this love. First off, I feel like every time I walk in they reorganized the tables. Its like their interior decorated has some serious ADD. Secondly, they change their menu all the damn time. That’s fine since most of the things I love are always there, but its confusing to come in and see a new menu every 6 months or less. Will they have my new favorite dish or will they decide to start doing more Mexican food or more southern food — I can never tell what the theme is going to be. Make up your minds! It seems like you have more room now to fit more people, which is great, but perhaps that has taken its toll on how quickly food comes out now that your kitchen might just be a tad overwhelmed? Came here last weekend and was seated right away. The staff is always very nice and helpful, but it really takes too damn long to get food. After about 45 minute of waiting for 2 dishes, we were about to get out and leave. When our server saw that we were thinking about leaving, she comes over and apologizes and promises our food is about to come out. It came out alright, but it looked like someone took a crap on our plates. Its obvious that the kitchen put together something SUPER quick and didn’t give a shit about how the food looked or tasted. My Greenpoint Benedict was almost inedible. The bread was soaked through w/who the hell knows what. The asparagus was burnt to a crisp and no one took off the very fibrous inedible ends, so I had to fight to try and eat this shit. The eggs were undercooked by about a minute and there was no hollandaise at all on my dish. The potatoes were also not cooked fully. But what the hell was I going to do, send it back? I was freaking starving so I ate my plate of crap and paid for it w/out complaint but I really can’t come back again after this. My fiancé ordered the huevos adobada, which looked good but he said it was so salty he had trouble eating it. He thinks it was the pulled pork, so he tried to get around it but had a hard time. So yeah, we’re not coming here again. I’m sick of the slow kitchen that can’t handle how many people show up for brunch. I can’t handle the fact that really shitty food is being served one time and something really great the next. It’s like a gamble every time I come here and I end up losing more times than not. Over the last few years I must have been here about 30 or more times and a least 2⁄3 of that has been really disappointing. Also, you no longer have the hash browns, which was your saving grace when food sucked.
