Authentic Mexican. Outstanding service. My husband got the Nopal Chile Relleno. Amazing. My daughter got the chicken soup(the best in the area– will order for delivery next time we are sick) my son got chicken fajitas. So good. The chef makes this secret crazy good unique hot sauce — They gave me some to take home! Cant say enough nice things. Hope theyre here to stay! Priced just right. COMEHERE!

This place has surprisingly great food and amazing selection of juices. Absolutely have to come here after epic nights of drinking. Their soup, corn and tacos are amazing as well! Would definitely recommend to everyone! Best Mexican food in town!

Really enjoyed my dinner at this new Mexican place in South Slope! Found this spot on Unilocal, got here and the place was empty, but wanted to give it a shot as it has really positive reviews and new places can have a hard time building a fan base. We started off with the really tasty and crunchy chips and salsa which they quickly brought to our table. Yum! We then then ordered the shrimp salad which was delicious. Perfectly grilled shrimp, nice mix of veggies including radish, corn, and avocado. Only suggestion to improve, which I mentioned to the waiter, is swap out the very standard italian salad dressing for something fresh and light like a simple vinaigrette. We then moved on to our tacos – we ordered the steak and cactus and the fish tacos – both came with two tacos each and very tender and fresh. Big portions so I only ate one of my tacos and am looking forward to eating my leftovers today for lunch. Service was very nice and attentive. I wish this place good luck! Also, no alcoholic beverages available. Hope they get their license soon!

Very happy to have El Nopal in the neighborhood! My wife and I both loved our food and the atmosphere and the service was great. Definitely worth a stop.

Food: Best Mexican place in Park/South Slope– finally! Not Tex-Mex, the real deal. No canned black beans dumped on a plate here. Great for vegetarians, and vegans can also find several options. The red and green sauces they serve are delicious(and actually spicy). Brunch menu is fabulous and reasonable. Juices: Fresh and better than juices I make at home. Prices are reasonable, especially for the large. Décor/atmosphere: You can tell a lot of thought went into making the space bright, colorful, and cozy. Perfect place for date night, bringing friends, or enjoying some time alone. Service was great– attentive, accommodating, very nice.

This is an awesome addition to the neighborhood, and it has a really warm, welcoming interior. The food is of course terrific as well and in addition to the usual fare of burritos and tacos they have a huge selection of smoothies and juices on the menu. Oh and brunch every day that comes with complimentary coffee. I’m dead. I can’t wait to come back and try everything.

So great. The burritos are huuuuge and absolutely worth the price. Rice was a little overcooked but it all tasted great! Maybe the best cilantro-lime green sauce I’ve ever tried. For real. I’m gonna try eating in house next time, the place looks great.

Clean, quaint, bright. Warm décor with bright plants and bowls of fruit everywhere. They give you free salsa and chips when you dine in. It’s a nice touch. The juice: delicious! I tried green iguana upon one employee’s suggestions(I always ask staff about their favorites wherever I go. The food: I had the quesadilla and I can honestly say it was fantastic; chicken was tender and bountiful, tortilla golden brown. The presentation looked beautiful and fresh – not greasy. The staff: cheerful and attentive My only, only, only suggestion is that they refrigerate the fruit. My juice was delicious but it came out room-temp inside of ice-cold.
