Its definitely pretty good sushi. Its my go-to neighborhood sushi place on the weekends when I just have a craving for something casual. They have a lunch special of 3 rolls for $ 10 that makes it worth it. They even have a couple vegetarian options like the sweet potato rolls which are crispy and delicious

I dont believe this place serves authentic japanese food. It may be another chinese spot trying to imitate. $ 15 for steak hibachi that taste like $ 5 beef & broccoli. They do not make hibachi rice, plain white. I cannot speak for other items on their menu.

Nothing fancy. I’ve been getting the 2 for $ 7.50 rolls. The fish seems fresh but for some reason the spicy tuna is never spicy(this is my third trip to order it.) it’s so cheap though, I don’t care! Great everyday sushi joint.

Avoid this place! New York State Heath Department please shut down! I moved around the block from this place and I was in the mood for a sushi dinner a few nights ago. I went here with my girlfriend for a dine in experience. What a disappointment. When we walked in it was nice and warm. We grabbed a pair of seats facing the street window. We ordered hot tea since it was freezing outside and the when the tea came it was cold. I had to ask to re heat it. We ordered about 4 special rolls and they were ok. Nothing spectacular. We also ordered hot sake and it was also served cold which I also sent back to be reheated. Finally, the major thing that happened was the heat in the restaurant was suddenly turned off! I asked he waitress what happened to the heat while I started to shiver over my food and she said it «stopped working» and walked away smiling. We packed up the rest of the food and left. A few other things that made this place awful. –The waitress was busy socializing with the chef and delivery man the entire time. –The place smelled like fried food. I had to clean all my clothes and jacket to get the smell out when I left and then take a shower! –They used wooden floor boards for table tops. Looks kind of funny you are eating on a material that’s sole creation is to be stepped on. –The lamp above us had a few giant dead flies stuck inside. I wish I would have taken a picture but I was too grossed out. I really believe the NY State Health Department could walk in here and shut the entire place down. I really hope someone opens a warm, clean, friendly sushi restaurant in South Slope soon! Please!!! Someone save us!

I thought this place was one to keep ordering. I ordered food and the delivery guy called me 5 – 7 times to check address. I ordered from Grub Hub and clearly left instructions on the order. I left room number, phone number and exact address. I don’t know how much clearer I could get. Oh well. I guess I will go hungry 2nite. :(

Service and food is horrible!!! Had to call over the waitress to order. Worse miso soup and basic salad I’ve ever tasted. Same for the sushi. I was heistant to even taste it. I came in here to try the lunch special but will not be returning. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Ordered a spicy tuna hand roll without rice, was told that the chef didnt know how to make it without rice. Got the roll and i have to say i have never tasted anything more stale and disgusting as that was, i literally took a a bite and spit it out! would have brought it back but didnt even want to bother with them. However i did order other rolls and octopus, the Octopus was delicious, the other roll i had was just ok. Still cant get the taste of that rotten or spoiled tuna out of my mouth

This place has become a go-to for family sushi gatherings. The fish is always fresh, the service is great, and they have an amazing lunch deal. Plus the race car lights, while random, are kind of cool.

It’s great! They have a wonderful lunch special. My sushi is always fresh and yummy. I usually get it delivered and they’re pretty fast about it. I’ve only eaten in the actual restaurant a few times, but they were very attentive, and kind. The people are always lovely, and they have plenty of veggie rolls if you aren’t into fish.

This s my go to for sushi delivery, on Grubhub. From the moment I order, it takes less than 20 minutes to arrive at my door, and what’s better, I can order my crab rangoons along with my sushi. Sitting in the restaurant is a little different. You only have choices from the japanese menu, which isnt that bad, but I find it a little limiting(because I love me some rangoons). The one woman waitress was fairly attentive, though a little absent minded. She sat us down without setting our table up — we had to ask for water too. The sushi isnt the best, but its cheaper than most other options. I like any of their rolls involving tuna — but I am a little suspect of rolls involving salmon. I have had decent success with their philadelphia rolls, but one time i ordered it and had a completely unedible piece of salmon that I gagged on. Their sweet potato rolls are very tasty, though eating the ends of the rolls can be a little difficult, with sweet potatoes spiking out the top, making it hard to fit a piece in my mouth(instead, I just pulled out each tasty fried piece and then ate the rice/seaweed separate) I really like this place as a local option, but in terms of quality — it cant touch Mitoushi.

I’m going to assume the majority is Suki Sushi’s income comes from their deliveries. Whenever a couple of friends and I go and dine in at this spot, we’re always the only customers there. Of course that doesn’t bother me because the service is moderately quick. The waitress is polite and quick to refill your glasses and bring us our much needed spicy mayo for our food. Which brings me to the good stuff about Suki, their Sushi. It’s actually quite good. The spicy crunchy salmon actually has a bit of a crunch to it, which is a plus, seeing as how some restaurants don’t even incorporate the«crunch» into the crunchy salmon. The downside of dining in at the place is the little children running around. I’m all for having your children at work, as long as their out of sight, or not causing any trouble. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d rather focus on talking to my group rather than having to raise my head every couple of minutes to see what’s going on and why the kids are running all over the place. I’m not sure if I’ll go dine in at this place again, perhaps I’ll just stick to ordering over the phone.

I call this place Meh Sushi, as in «Meh…it’s alright.» Both of the times I have been in there my guest & I have been the only ones in this place(once on a Tuesday night & once on a Friday evening) & the service was still relatively slow. Sometimes being the only ones in the restaurant might be ideal but not when children were running around on both occasions. I am assuming these are the owner’s or one of the server’s children & that random children aren’t just running around. The chairs are extremely low so I feel like Jack & the Beanstalk sitting at the Giant’s table. The sushi is actually pretty decent, especially for the price however, I have to give it a three for these other reasons. So will I be going back again? «Meh…we’ll see.»

Everyone has posted great reviews so I thought I’d try again. My order of Chicken Yakitori came with an unlisted ingredient — a long black hair, partially singed. Yuck!

I read all of the reviews for Suki Sushi and most were 4 or 5 stars, so I just had to try. First off when I walked in, they were playing Eminem greatest hits(the Pg version) which is great by me! The service was fast and friendly and the Sushi was really good. The Kani sald or crab meat salad was good and a nice portion. The Boston roll was the second best I’ve ever had, their spicy tuna roll was ok the spicy salmon hand roll was good and the Rainbow roll was great… I will definitely be back!!!

They have a few amazing items on the menu and they never screw up my takeout– delivery. I order here from Grub hub when I am in the mood to switch it up, which is about every two weeks. My favorites are: *Coconut shrimp app *Soba noddles with Tofu and Veggies * Fried Rice *Cucumber rolls instead of the rice they wrap the sushi in Cucumbers goood Pretty good place!

Have never actually been to the restaurant, but their delivery is excellent and usually very quick. Their sushi is excellent as is their tempura, though the batter can be a little heavy. It’s a go to place for delivery sushi if you’re in the neighborhood.

I’ll admit it, it was the«Free House Roll for Dine-In Customers» that first got me to step into this place while strolling down 5th avenue looking for some good grub. The fact that it is the closest Sushi restaurant near our house did not hurt either. What got us returning though was their friendly staff(one woman in particular). She smiled at us, was pleasant in conversation and didn’t mind that our 2.5 year old got about only half of his udon noodles into his mouth. Naturally, the other half went somehwere on the table, his chair or the floor. I normally get their sushi /sashimi combination. It’s always been fresh, except one time the japanese mint leaf that the white tuna was sitting on top off was abit old and therefore bitter. However, the mounds of daikon and fresh appropriately sized pieces sashimi made up for it.(Please do use more of the japanese mint, it’s an amazing flavor when combined with tuna.). All in all, it’s our casual go-to place for a reasonable budget, a nice night out, and a place for the kids to learn to eat with a modicum of table manners at a restaurant.

I’m not a fan of sushi, but am open to eating all kinds of food. I work nearby and decided to go to lunch at this particular restaurant. Wow, I was impressed! I ordered the California roll lunch special($ 7)and it came with salad, green tea(or a drink of your choice), and I was stuffed. the proportions were right and like I said am not a fan of sushi, but the food most definitely hit the spot.

Most sushi places that are lower to middle end generally have the same fish, give or take. Thus, it’s the other aspects of a restaurant that can make or break it, and sadly in the case of Suki, it’s broken. My problem is that the sushi chef just plain wasn’t good. Pieces I got were ragged, to the point where I didn’t want to eat them. The rice was served at inconsistent temperatures. Whatever they put on the pieces of lettuce that was masquerading as salad dressing flat out tasted bad. The sushi landscape of Brooklyn is vast. It shouldn’t be difficult to find somewhere that’s better than Suki. Or as I call it in my mind, sucky.
