I was in the neighborhood and stopped in for takeout. It’s solid. Reasonably priced, friendly service and the rolls were good. I’d come again for sure.

We had the sushi deluxe($ 13) and gourmet dinner box($ 13.95). Prices were much cheaper than what you would find in Manhattan. The fish was fresh and everything tasted great. For a restaurant in the neighborhood I would definitely recommend it. Not life changing, but it will satisfy your craving for Japanese!

I have been living in dyker heights now for about 4 months and I am glad that I discovered this hidden paradise. Whenever my girlfriend and I crave sushi, roughly once a week, we always order from here. Since this sushi spot is only 2 blocks away I always take the short walk with ease. We always order the dinner combos. A Boston roll, California roll and Philadelphia roll for under $ 11. It also comes with a choice of a soup or salad and I always choose the salad because of the ginger dressing. After we each get our own combo and choose from the diverse list of specialty rolls the total is always roughly around $ 30. I highly suggest anyone looking for a great place to sit down or take out fresh sushi to swing by Fujiyama and enjoy this place as much as we do.

I get sushi from this place at least once a week. I usually order the same thing — dinner combination: Alaskan roll, Boston roll & Philadelphia roll for $ 11. When my boyfriend and I go, we usually get a specialty roll, too. They have weird names, so I don’t remember what they were but one had a lot of crab and it’s our favorite. The service is fast and efficient. I’ve never had a problem with this place. The sushi is always fresh and affordable, so what more can I ask for?

My favorite Japanese restaurant to go to with friends. I have a fish allergy but a lot of my friends love sushi. We can go here because they have non-fish items and are very good about keeping everything separate. I never worry when I go here. Their fried bananas are the best too!

Both delivery and pick up services are done quick and easy. The young boss man is always well-mannered and most of the time the ladies are also. It only happened one time when I walked in and they hadn’t done my order yet. I will say that I only called about 10 minutes before though so maybe(probably) it’s my fault! lol. The delivery guy is always nice also. I haven’t dined in too many times but I always order their take-out. I remember one time when we did we dine in… my sister ordered cold noodles or something and she had to pour some type of sauce over it… it tasted like … nothing. Sorry. Sorry but I would only come here for the sushi rolls, both regular and special rolls. Sashimi is fine for me too. 99% of the time I order my usual boring rolls such as sweet potato, shrimp tempura, salmon avocado, spicy tuna/salmon, they range from $ 2.50-$ 3.50 and it always satisfies my craving. I give it a 5 because this is my go-to-sushi-takeout place!

This is a great Japanese restaurant, no matter when I order, the food is always ready on time and the sushi always tastes extremely fresh. They have great prices also, not overcharging like other sushi places in the area. Would definitely recommend. I just wish they supported online ordering and were on grubhub, then i would give 5 stars.

I love ordering salmon from here. Super fresh salmon and nice seasoning for the sushi rice. They always give me free appetizers to try and they are very delicious. Usually they give us special rolls for free too. I never ate at their restaurant before but it seems like a really quiet place with very little tables and chairs. Whenever I got there and pick up my food that I order, the lady is very nice and patient. One time she forgot my fried ice cream so she gave me a free special roll as the apology for making mw wait extra long for my food. They usually take a while before I get my order and the wait is totally worth my time! I do recommend you try and eat here especially for a romantic date or just order for take-out. This sushi restaurant is a little more expensive for brooklyn but you get what you pay for.

I don’t care what anyone says about this place, but just come here on a Friday evening or Saturday — the hoards of people waiting for take-out says something alone about the quality you’re getting here. Yes, this place doesn’t have the OMG amazing décor that most sushi places have; it is just very average, and simple, but that’s just because they put all their fancy skills into plate prepping your sushi! Just sit at the sushi bar while you’re waiting for your take-out for 40 minutes. These guys are so artful in their craft that it is truly memorizing. You’ll not wait for these food in vain. TIP: If you order take-out, you will see significantly cheaper pricing in comparison to if you dined in. This is something we noticed several months ago, and as newly weds, you need to save every dime! Our all time top favs: Crazy Dancing Kani Roll Rainbow Roll Spicy Scallop Peanut Avocado — great palate cleaner If you order out a certain amount, you get a free appetizer — a nice perk that you don’t usually see all too often, especially for a sushi place. Fujiyama will always be our go-to sushi place!

Located in Dyker Heights, my family and I go there at least 3 times a month. The staff is always friendly and professional. The restaurant is clean. The food is great. The service is prompt. The edamame is fresh and perfectly cooked. Avacado salad is my favorite. The spring rolls/harumaki are delicious and the veggie gyoza is superb. Tasty California spring rolls and sweet potato rolls.

Their food deserves four stars, but unfortunately the service isn’t great. I order from them very often, since it’s the closest sushi place from my house. They usually have fresh food and deliver on time, but when I went to dine in, they didn’t want to take back or exchange a tuna roll that was obviously not fresh. The waitress totally ignored my comment and just away walked from the table. The hostess also tends to roll her eyes while taking a take out order. Overall nothing special.

This spot is a very decent Japanese restaurant. I would recommend quick lunch or bento box take-out. The lighting is very dim here and it gives it a very romantic feel to the atmosphere. It is a very low key restaurant and it is almost always very quiet. Sushi rolls here are not bad. They have the usual Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado, Dragon Rolls, and etc. on their menu. Perhaps, I spoiled my taste buds over the years by consistently having fresh fish from other places. Therefore, I cannot recommend this place for fresh sushi but I can recommend this place for bento box and other hot entrees such as the udon noodle soup. Overall, it is okay.

I’ve eaten here plenty of times, but sadly I dont think I’ll be treking a mile just to get here anymore. I used to love the sushi, I’ve recommended to friends, but a recent trip during the summer caused my raving go downhill. So not to offend anyone, but I like to take apart my sushi before I eat it. I usually take off the fish and roll it with my chopsticks; I do that with rolls too where I munch up the fish first and then enjoy the seasoned rice. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly I’d hate to lower the stars. I dont want to give this a low rating, but it couldnt be helped. So I ordered a platter of sushi with a friend I was supposedly sharing with. Unfortunately, when it arrived there were a few flies fluttering around a few certain pieces. I waved off those pesky flies then proceeded to continue with my sushi. So with my chopsticks which I found the quality to be decent, I picked off a salmon slice and curled it around my chopstick and I saw a tiny black speck in my rice. It was a dead fly. Disgusted I looked over across to my friend who was devouring pieces before me. He gave me a face like, «What’s wrong, not sushi craving?» I wanted to say DUDEPICKUPANDEXAMINEWHATYOUREEATING. ITMIGHTSAVEYOU. However he saw a fly that nested itself on a tuna sushi and rubbed its legs and arms on that piece. My friend seemingly grossed me out as he ate thepiece as well as the fly. Then it was then I just wanted to get out as quickly as possible. I’d like to say this place is great but as a huge scaredy-cat of bugs especially gnats and flies, I am appalled.

I ate here before when they had the sushi buffet, I don’t think they have that anymore. The interior is nice and it’s really quiet there, sometimes a little too quiet. Now, I order it for delivery. The woman who picks up isn’t really that friendly but the guy who picks up is really nice. The delivery time is 45min to an hour. The sushi and sashimi there is really good. I usually get the party tray, half sashimi/half sushi and then it comes with 2/¾ rolls depending on which party tray you get. The gyoza from there is delicious. The kani salad is really really yummy.

The food here leaves something to be desired. That something is called flavor. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. It was doused in sauce and still tasted bland. I’m sure that defies some law of nature. Just by default, something with that much sauce should have at least a modicum of flavor. My boyfriend ordered some lunch special with beef nagamaki and a California roll. His food was better than mine, but still not worth coming here for. The miso soup we had before the meal was actually pretty good.
