So this place was completely empty just now and I thought my fiancé and I would get breakfast here. Burrito omelette and a bacon and egg sandwich… sounds simple enough right? Wrong! We were there over a half hour and tell me what kind of omelette is made with no eggs? Is this a European thing(joke)?! And my bacon… I don’t know about you but I prefer that mine be cooked. As my mom would say in her Spanish accent, neber agen!!!

Amazing pizza. Some people complain that they are pre-cooked… But if that’s the case they definitely know what they are doing because every time I get a pie from them it is not only delicious but slightly juicy from the sauce and perfectly crispy. 5 stars is an understatement.

The Platano Loco; served with lettuce, tomato, onion, Swiss cheese and mayo between two large fried plantain halves. One of Brooklyn’s best, Gina’s Pizzeria grills up an amazingly warm, yummy, crispy, satisfying — fried plantain sandwich. This monster sized neighborhood delicacy can only be found at Gina’s in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Make your choice between chicken, steak, roast pork, shrimp or vegetarian. The steak, while super tasty, is made with a tough cut of beef that is hard to chew making it a messier choice best ate with a fork and knife. The chicken is pounded thin, succulent and stays together with the plantain making every bite perfect. The plantain, pounded super-thin, adds a toasty crunch to the outside. The vegetarian is sans meat and avocado is available to add. This sandwich is so huge; it takes up the entire platter-sized dinner plate.

Wow. It’s really bad pizza in my opinion. My family, ordered a pie and I was starving. Had to force myself to eat it. Dollar pizza tastes better

Its a super underrated place — and they make really fresh pizzas and tacos — just ask the very friendly owner and he is happy to accomodate most requests including being mindful of food allergies. never had a problem with this place — they make fresh pizzas twice a day — once by 11 am and the other is in the evening by 5 — go get em when fresh. they are great.

The most bland chicken francese I have ever eaten. Next to no sauce. No flavor of lemon to speak of. Just breaded chicken over greasy flavorless spaghetti. Cash only too.

I have ordered from here a few times and it is serviceable but not what you want in a pizza place. It is average at best. Unfortunately there are not any real standouts in the area.

Another pizzeria that sends reheated pizzas. I used to always order from them when I first moved here. After receiving reheated pizzas for a while, I decided to go in person and order one, just to see how they’d do it. I saw them pull out an cooked cheese pizza and just add the pepperoni on top, and put it back in the oven. I instantly told them I preferred a fresh one, he said«ok, I’ll go to the back». He came from the back with another cooked cheese pizza, just added the pepperoni again and back in the oven it goes. Other than that… they’re polite… but that doesn’t make the pizza good now does it?

Not bad of a place. $ 3 for a slice that has toppings. The spot is actually pretty spacious and it’s good for groups. Not only do they have pizza, but they also have sandwiches, hot/cold subs, rice platters and dessert. I was in the area and wanted to try a new pizza and this place really had good pizza and hit the spot just right. I got a slice that had mushrooms and breaded chicken. It was really good and they did not skimp on the toppings at all. They now have a new customer. Me!

I can not believe the reviews! This place is great. Maybe I just order the best thing on the menu. The grandma pie is exceptional. I have never seen my friends inhale pizza so fast.

Standard, NY-style pizza, nothing more, nothing less. Crappy whole-wheat crust if you opt for that, and good luck placing an order on the phone because you never know what you’re gonna get. Ordered a fresh mozzarella, tomato basil and ended up with fresh mozzarella, sauce, slices of thick pink tomatoes and no basil. Yeah.

I agree with many other of the reviews that explain that this place is really nice in terms of its atmosphere and friendliness, however the food is just not that great. Yes. The people that take your order, especially what I believe to be the manager, are very jovial and seem to get excited about almost every customer-this is actually very important, maybe this is why I keep returning; well, that and it is right around the corner, they sell what is known as pizza and it is fairly cheap. I would have given this place three stars for the mentioned qualities above, but on different occasions such as with the«Grandma Slice», «Pinneaple and Canadian Bacon», and anything topped with mozzarella, I’ve just struggled to finish the entire thing. My advice here is to stay very, very simple if you are in the area and want something besides Chinese or Tacos. Get the pepperoni slice or cheese slice, the less they do to it the better. The cheese is good, the bread tastes better, and the possibility for error has lessened greatly.

I’d honestly go to Domino’s over this place. I tried a slice of the Sicilian and was severely disappointed, maybe even slightly disgusted. I paid $ 2.50 for this piece of baked bread? I can’t even write about the sauce to cheese ratio because it was non-existent. The cheese was leathery and the sauce was blah… not that there was much sauce for me to even taste. I was starving and ordered two slices. I managed to somehow eat one slice and threw the other in the trash. Yuck.

When I first moved to the neighborhood 5 years ago, the pizza was great, and that’s all they really sold. Then they remodeled and expanded. Suddenly they sold deli foods, which seemed to dominate their menu. The quality of the pizza dropped significantly. I haven’t tried the new entrees, but if a pizzeria can’t make good pizza, why bother?

Gina’s was the first restaurant I visited when I moved to this neighborhood and at the time it was just what I needed. The interior is clean and brightly lit and the people working there are extremely polite. Unfortunately, the food just isn’t very good. Their subs are average at best and every time we’ve ordered pizza from them it’s been lousy. The dough is simply too thick, the cheese is sub-par and the sauce is nothing to write home about. I’ve never had any of their pasta entrees. In essence, the place is clean and the people are friendly but the food is average and the pizza stinks. Definitely a shame.

I’ve lived a few blocks away for almost four years, and yet I never thought to go in. I love my Johnnie’s, but my Johnnie’s can take a very long time. Sometimes you just want food; it doesn’t always have to be perfect. Enter Gina’s. And that’s what we did. It’s clean, friendly, and convenient. It has pizzas(haven’t tried a slice yet), sandwiches(basic Italian deli fare — including Mortadella), pastas(baked ziti and so on), and the garlicky-est garlic knots you ever did taste. The white pizza in the case looked a little worse for wear, but don’t they always? The people were friendly, and the service was solid. I’ll be back to try a slice, and maybe to check out the tiramisu I saw in the case. It looked mmmm mmmmm good.
