This is my go to restaurant for my cornmeal porridge in the morning. I LOVEIT! The Ackee & salt fish dumplin yam & banana is also delicious. In addition to that, the chef, and all the workers there are all polite & friendly.

The last 3 times I’ve been there they haven’t had rice and peas. What’s up with that?

I love the beef patty that has a nice spice with sweet coconut bread, like a fat sandwich ugh heaven the goat with rice and peas is perfect, amazing flavor the plantains with rice and beans is so so good, but they should be more generous on the amount of sweet plantains they give awesome price for a huge portion

I usually get a beef or chicken patty and krust. I haven’t been brave enough to try the other patties. Haven’t been disappointed yet.

This place is open late so I pick up dinner on late nights. I usually order a chicken patty, escoveitch fish(fried then seasoned with scotch bonnet hot pepper and vinegar) or jerk chicken with rice and peas, depending on how hungry I am. The portions are large and everything tastes«just like Mom» made it. The pricing is off and I’ve complained about it. An escoveitch fish is $ 3.50, but if you want rice and peas and vegetables, its $ 10.35. Does that make sense? Almost $ 7 extra for rice and peas? Also the staff is hot and cold. They’ll serve you promptly, but don’t expect a smile or a pleasant greeting. If you get a pleasant server, its a really good day. Take that and run with it. Despite sometimes poor customer service, the food is great.

TRYTHEESCOVEITCHFISH! You will not be disappointed. Sure its Golden Krust, what about the patties? Um not a fan of the patties, but this particular Golden Krust makes escoveitch fish with either whiting, saltfish, porgie or croaker, and it never disappoints. The onions and carrots are cooked with scotch bonnet pepper and simmered in vinegar and boy is it GOOD! Go in and get the fish and two festivals or dumplings and you will have a great meal or snack. The fish sells out quick so go in early if possible. The price is right too! I’m telling you that you will not be disappointed!
