I ordered a strawberry shortcake from shalom on Tuesday informing him that I would pick it up on Wednesday morning when I got there at 6:55 the girls had to go find the cake which took ten minutes and when they opened the box that was not a strawberry shortcake Very disappointed and will not be returning

Ran inside to grab an easy quick lunch. Firstly parking is awful as it’s on J and Nostrand but there’s metered parking and people usually come and go. Love what they’ve done with the design of the bakery. It’s modern, neat and clean. They have a fully stocked fridge of ready made salads, fruits, and pastries. Fresh bread and rolls available at all times. I took a ready made salad from the fridge as I’m in a rush. Picked the euro salad. It was fresh, delicious and the perfect healthy eats for my afternoon. Got a coffee with that. All for under $ 10.(Impressive as it’s kosher) I’d tell you to avoid the heavy lunch rush as the store gets super packed and not much place to move around. I’ll definitely be back for more salads.

I’m here almost every day. Fresh baked goods, cookies and cakes here are yummy. There also have a nice salad bar and various soups for lunch. Thursdays they have cholent for lunch but I’m not a huge fan of it. It’s a bit on the oily side for my taste. My husband doesn’t mind it though.

I like taking solace in food. It’s always there and it never gives you any backtalk when you’re in a bad mood. So my doctor stood me up. I showed up for my 2:15 pm appointment and was promptly told that my doctor had an emergency and had canceled all her appointments. Then I was told that they had called me about this. Obviously they didn’t because I was standing right there. Normally, I would have reamed into them, but having remembered passing by a kosher bakery, I had hamentashen on my mind. I quickly rescheduled my appointment and ran to the bakery. Ooh, glorious food! I felt a bit odd though. Looking as I do, meaning being Asian and all and walking into a kosher establishment. But heck, I do that all the time. This place has to-die-for mini hamentashen. And it’s not just for Jews…
