I’ve been here many times for alterations and always been pleased with the result. I appreciate that she’s open a little later than other shops, and that if you are on your way, you can call and she’ll wait for you. She’s a bit brusk, but I can deal with that, as she’s always given me quality service. I agree with the other review here that she’s not the friendliest person, but since she’s done a very good job, I’m okay without lots of pleasantries. Let’s just get to business and get in and out. Often it feels that she’s maybe a bit overwhelmed with a large volume of work. In April of this year I was disappointed that she did not have time to help me with a bridesmaids dress, as she had so many other wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses already in the queue. While, I was disappointed, I did appreciate that she told me up front that she did not feel certain she could get it done on time and wanted to ensure that I had time to find someone else who did. In fact, she’s even told me that something just wasn’t worth paying to have altered. I have not had anything laundered here. If you lost your receipt, you have to pay with credit card. This is a safety measure she explains.

I have been a long time customer of Lilo Dry Cleaning. The truth is that I’ve always had mixed results. While the quality of Lilo’s(not sure if that is her actual name) work is generally top notch, her approach to customer service and consideration for other peoples time is horrible. The reason for this review stems from an unpleasant series of events which culminated today. In November of 09 I dropped off 4 dress shirts for alterations. I explained to Lilo that while I was in no particular rush to have the shirts returned to me I would appreciate them before Christmas. Suffice it to say that Christmas came and went without the return of my shirts. I stopped by several times to inquire about the progress and each time I was rebuffed with some explanation about how busy she was at the particular time. Thankfully I really had no immediate need for the shirts and I let it slide. As time went by I continued to use Lilo for tailoring all without the return of my shirts. This morning I went to inquire about the shirts once more. It now being mid May of 2010 I figured it would be acceptable to light a fire under the issue and maybe get them back sometime this month. WRONG. Upon requesting that my shirts be returned to me Lilo snapped back and suggested to me that altering my shirts was not worth her time or the amount of money I was paying her(she sets the price), and to top it off that I could just have my shirts back. Now if this had happened in the first couple week or first month, I would have accepted it as just poor time management. However this is just bad business and awful customer service. Lilo attempted to hand back to me a very expensive Thomas Pink shirt which she had already cut for alterations. I refused and told her she needed to finish as a safeguard so that the shirt would not be ruined. Today I walked out of her shop with 3 shirts I gave her nearly 7 months ago, none of them any different than the day I dropped them off. If I thought that this was a isolated experience I would never have taken the time to write this review, however I have been in her shop at times when she has rebuffed people in the same manner. While Lilo is a very capable tailor, her customer service is awful and she has no respect for the time and needs of her customers. If you have an unlimited amount of time to have alterations made to your clothing please use Lilo, however if you have a year or less I would suggest you look else where.
