Go to this place soon before there’s a line out the door. On par with the best pizza in city, you will not be disappointed. Perfect crust, amazing sauce… Genius with cheese. I’m from ny and have lived in 3 boroughs over my lifetime… This is top 3 all around no joke. Damn.

It seems the majority of reviews here are about the pizza, so I will state that I have not tried it and am writing only about the heroes. We were looking for a place in Bensonhurst that would deliver heroes on a Friday evening, and this location came up on grubhub. I ordered the Italian hero and my aunt tried the eggplant parm, her go-to choice. We figured a highly rated Italian location would do these well. The bread is a bit different, and triangle shaped. That didn’t bother me, but it was pretty tough and a little hard, not what I was expecting at least for the bread on the Italian combo. The taste was ok, but was definitely a let-down when I was craving a really great Italian sandwich– I wish It had been earlier enough to order from Lioni’s instead. My aunt’s eggplant was very disappointing– the eggplant was not breaded, and seemed steamed or boiled or something. She said it was very slimy and hard to eat, and she ended up not finishing even a half. I have no problem believing the pizza here may be great, but the heroes are villains.

Good food, but they close whenever they feel like it. I was so excited to introduce my fiancé to this place and on a random Sunday(Jan 10) at 4pm they closed. Their answer machine states«they are closed New Years Day and will be closed through the weekend.» Mia’s get it together, it’s Jan 10th and people who planned to order food from your establishment are left out to dry. At the very least up date your answer machine to state why your closed. Perhaps it was a health hazard and they closed indefinitely. Sorry but it’s not nice to leave it to the customers assumptions !

We stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while we were touring Dyker Heights light display. We called and they had Gluten Free options, as my daughter has a Gluten allergy this was perfect. They were so welcoming and went the extra mile to accommodate us. We also had non GF dishes, everything we had was excellent!!! I only wish we lived closer I would definitely be a regular!

I had a meatball and fresh garlic pizza and WOOOOOW it was so delicious and the meatballs were the perfect texture. The best pizza I’ve had since I’ve moved to Brooklyn 2yrs ago… Both thumbs up

The staff here are SO nice every time we visit. We’ve had takeout a few times(pizza and a few different pastas, as well as some really great meatballs). This weekend, we hosted a party and needed a ton of pizzas the same day(because my boyfriend procrastinated calling ahead!), and they were so quick and unfazed. That’s all on top of the fact that the food here is amazing. Everyone complimented our choice in pies! Since it’s close to home, we’ll be here all the time. They really are one of the best around.

This hidden gem may soon become a find for many. I want to try many more items but today’s choices were the Parma Pie pizza and Arancini di Riso Speciale. Arancini for those who do not know is Italian for riceball. In this special one there was chop meat and peas and it was topped with sauce and fresh ricotta. It was tasty but temperature was not hot enough. I wasn’t sure if it was due to cold ricotta or if it was not heated enough. I’m usually not someone who expects piping hot food but I do think the temperature not being correct from the start effected the whole sensory. I also enjoy a riceball to have a crisp outer crust and a luscious inner. I’m not sure if it was crisp, because it was cut open and sauce was poured over with ricotta then on top. I think next time I would ask for sauce and ricotta to the side and for me to be allowed to cut my riceball open. The Parma Pie was made with Arugula, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto di Parma, shaved parmesan, and topped with truffle oil. Again the temperature was not hot enough and I believe truffle oil was absent. I’m almost glad the truffle oil wasn’t on because it’s not my favorite but it would have been good to know if the flavor could have enhanced the flavor profile. The amount of toppings were very generous and of excellent quality. Tracy was our server, she also was the daughter of Mia. She was gracious and excited to share the heart of her family. I will return and even get delivered because it is close to home. I’m excited to try other items soon.

As a life long, 38 year resident of Brooklyn(Bay Ridge), I implore you to try the regular slice from this place! It is fantastic. Always a crispy crust, not too much cheese, great sauce, and a great crust! Did I mention the crust? This is how I remember pizza tasting to me as a child! Very friendly staff. Fast to delivery. Really fantastic, I can’t say enough. My favorite pizza in NYC used to be Bleeker pizza in Manhattan, now it is Mia’s plain cheese slice.
