I like this place for many reasons but overall I have mixed feelings. I’m coming at this as a small business owner looking for small print runs of 1000 or less for various things. The print quality you can get here is much better for the price than you will get at most other places — good enough quality that you can genuinely get high quality printing — 150lpi/1200dpi offset, say —(as opposed to the much lower quality ‘high quality’ of most online print places) that you would otherwise not be able to afford as a small business. Their customer service is good — they will answer queries promptly, even when there is an issue. My mixed feelings come from two problems. Their ordering process is not very efficient. Everything is done by documents that you must sign and fax or email back or provide in person — at least two per job. I’m not so bothered by that. What is strange is that they don’t keep you updated on when your job will be done or — even more strangely — when it is done. This is particularly strange because they are so efficient at replying in every other circumstance … but when it comes to order completion they do not seem to be very willing to email you to tell when it will be ready or even if it’s already done. The second issue is that you have to be careful to check every detail as they’re not very proactive at telling you about potential issues with your chosen product. I ordered letterheads for a new project and then followed this up with an order for matching envelopes. Despite the fact I said the envelopes were a follow up order for letterheads, they did not warn me that the envelopes would be printed on a completely different printer which in no way would match the letterheads. Now I take responsibility for not double checking(I did check the print method was the same but didn’t check it was the same DPI and printer) but, surely one of the advantages of ordering somewhere with real humans actually receiving faxed orders is that they might pay a bit of attention to this stuff. Especially since matching envelopes and letterheads must be a pretty common wish. Anyway, if you know what you’re doing and are willing to spend a bit of time on the ordering process, filling in forms by hand and checking details, then I can recommend this place.
