Royal Supermarket

Max and Sean, the brothers who own the place, are great. Real Brooklynites. Good listeners, funny — they could have been bartenders. The place is pretty well stocked — pens, baking good, detergent, etc. They aren’t there 24 hours, but open very early and stay open until very late. It could be better — nicer displays, a better selection of fruits and vegetables, a cat, but overall a great place.

The hours here on Unilocal say they open at 7:30 PM. really?
A grocery store opens at 7 PM?
The hours are not posted outside. Since they are a UPS pick up location, you would think that the hours on Unilocal would be correct, and that their hours would be posted on the store!

Used their atm to the tune of $ 4 and they wouldn’t make change. Food selection is meh.

Best bodega ever. They have everything you need — I even bought a soup ladle here once. I live catty corner so I’m here at least 3 times a week. The guys who work here are really sweet and helpful! Good beer selection :) and toilet paper :)

Friendly staff, well stocked with vegan/​vegetarian food options, _​fantastic_​beer selection, which can even be purchased individually. Open until the wee hours. They are the same folks who own the deli across the street. This place is fairly large, too. More of a grocery than bodega. I shop there almost daily. They accept credit cards but have a $ 10 minimum.

This deli is truly one of the reasons i love brooklyn. i mean seriously, where’s spike lee? They have the best beer selections in the neighborhood, decent grocery for last min needs or serious munchies and even decent gluten free and organic food. The staff is extremely friendly and are truly good neighbors.

For a bodega they have a pretty amazing selection of craft beers, many of which are available individually and already chilled in big coolers. If near and in need of beer, this place might be a better choice than many of the local liquor stores.

Very bright and shiny since the renovation about 2 months ago. AND, they just got Kombucha and it is not super expensive (any more so than it already is…).
I stumble in here sometimes to buy cookie dough or Munchies after coming home, ya know, late. It is closed sometimes though — maybe around 4 am — which is sad, but these peeps work hard so I ain’t denying them no sleep.
They have a really good selection of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, baking products, and peanut butters. Basically all those bad things that we want and are an afterthought and we shouldn’t get but we do. Also, I was eyeing the candy today — they have LOTS. I also like how they put the organic cookies right next to the register. Very sneaky. Lots of beer up front on the left.
Now that I think about it, the owners of this place are very, very smart. They know what we want — any kind of food that is bad for us but tastes so, so good.
Very small produce selection. Hm.
Plus, I love the people that own this place. They are always so nice.
