I live a few steps away from this place. While I wouldn’t completely cancel it out. Let’s just say it’s not my number 1 pick. When I get food delivered from here, I always have to warm it up. It’s always luke warm… The people are n Okay I guess and the few times I’ve been here to done it seems as if they forget about me. I do not like to be forgotten. Fill my cup please I’m thirsty. Ask me if I want anything else and just be more hospitable. The food is good but it isn’t great. I feel like the food lacks that kick to make it great and the menu is a bit dated. Idnk. Anyway my boyfriend seems to like this place so we will keep coming back. I just hope for improvement. So many new restaurants around here. I’d think. You’d want to keep your self in the game, no?

I really want to give this place more stars but here is why I can’t. I absolutely adore the Seafood Pad Puk. I get it all the time. It is just the amount of flavor i need to complete my day. The service is decent, however the mixed drinks are watered down. The difficulty I’m having with this restaurant is that the servers are consistently sending me takeout with hair in it. I know it isn’t mine as I have curly/wavy hair and the hair present in my meal is straight. This place will lose a lot of their customer service base if they don’t make their chefs put on proper attire(hair nets, aprons, or gloves.) If I wanted straight hair I’d relax my own.

I had passed this place a few times until one day I decided to order take out. I picked up the food and ate at home. Overall the food was ok. Not amazing but decent enough. My main complaint was the Pad Thai seemed dry and it did not come with a lime, which I desperately needed.

I’ve had better thai places. I tried their foods twice and at the second time I visited I gave the server a credit card and then she said card minimum is $ 15. I know lots of restaurants and stores have minimum price for credit/debit but I had to go outside to the atm ugh(they accepted first time). Please notify customers ahead and your foods are aren’t that good.

Calamari Pad Thai — Decent enough, but the squid was rubbery. Conveniently close to my apartment, but not a place I would seek out.

I don’t usually waste my time to write reviews. This is actually my first review, which I felt was needed because I was served old food for the second time ordering take out from Thai 101. I have had good experiences dining in at this restaurant. However this is my second time ordering for pickup and I must say that they serve less proportions when you order takeout and serve old food, probably because they know the food will not be checked. I will never order take out from this restaurant again.

Came here on a first date with my boo. I was a little apprehensive since I normally stick to Ghang and/or Joya in Cobble Hill, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Pad Woon Sen was delicious. The spring rolls were kind of a rip of(three cut in half), but the noodles were really good. The prices here are about average. I’d definitely come back.

With all the restaurants in this Brooklyn neighborhood I would think restaurants would be trying to keep and get loyal customers not trying to get them to look for other eateries to support. I would’ve given them three or four stars but the waitress/hostess with blonde hair and a farmers overalls was in need of customer service adjustment. She would be better off helping the cooking staff retrieve items from the fridge instead of being around the paying people. The firecracker shrimp are seasoned well. The siracha chicken made with tofu had lots of vegetables and nice spice. The pad thai chicken is always good. The salad with ginger is light and fresh… THEY also added the tip to the bill for a party of two during lunchtime. REALLY? Don’t think I will eat in, just order take out.

My friend and I stopped in last night for one more drink. We sat at the bar. We were tended to right away. I ordered a mojito and my friend a lychee martini. Both drinks were strong. The people at the bar were friendly. At a quick glance, the patrons seemed pleased with the food. I would go back to try the food.

This is really a 3.5 star review but I rounded up. I order delivery pretty regularly and delivery(through seamless) is quick and easy. The food is generally pretty good. Food is pretty consistent although a few times I felt like it wasn’t as fresh as it could have been. All in all a good Thai delivery place for the neighborhood. Have never eaten in the actual restaurant. I like the sweet and sour chicken and the srirachia chicken.

I’m a fan of the $ 7 lunch special and typically order Chicken or Shrimp Pad Woon Sen for dinner. The dinner portion for take out is enough for two. We’ve eaten here once and also get take out often. We were in Thailand last year and took a cooking class as well as bought a lot of things to make at home. When I don’t feel like making my own Thai food, this is a good option. I’m not sure how long they have been here since we just started eating Thai food regularly after our trip.

Thai 101’s lunch special(11:30am-4pm) made me stop by for a quick lunch on the go. The menu is a pared down version of their lunch options for $ 7 and comes with a choice of four appetizers: 2pc spring rolls, 3pcs chicken dumplings, thai salad or soup.

I’ve have ordered from Thai 101 a handful of times over the past 3 years that I’ve lived in the neighborhood. My very first experience was great. Then it started going downhill… about 6 months ago I ordered from there and I got so sick I had to call out of work the next day. When I walked by a few days later they were closed down. My boyfriend mistakenly ordered from there two nights ago and they said it would be delivered in about 25 minutes. 45 minutes later he called to ask how much longer it would be and they said it was on the way already. We live probably 2 blocks away. 25 minutes after that it arrived. Our pad thai with shrimp was tasteless and had only shrimp tails in it, no actual shrimp… it honestly looked like they piled the leftovers from a bunch of people’s plates into a takeout container and delivered it to us. We also got pineapple fried rice that was also pretty lackluster. We will be trying one of the new spots in the hood next time!

I don’t normally go here, but my preferred place, Manee Thai, is closed for renovations. Thai 101 has done a nice remodeling, but the food needs work. Curry puffs are great, but that’s it. Almost all of the veg in every dish was spoiled at worst and not so fresh at best. Satay chicken was quite tough although the flavor was OK. The real stinker was the«pan-fried» snapper, which was really deep fried, probably in attempt to cover up its lack of freshness. The it was drenched with sweet sauce. I don’t root against anyone who obviously has invested in a small business, and I have heard people say the lunch specials are OK. Still, much room for improvement.

We order take out from here quite often. Love the crabmeat dumplings, paneng curry and Thai fried rice. Good flavor, generous servings, reliable for what it is.

yum yum :) I really like Thai food. I ordered here once and it took forever, but I didn’t mind much. Food is middle-of-the-road. I’ve tried about 3 of their dishes, different times, but I forget which ones exactly.

My absolute fav place in the neighborhood! Best Lunch Special and Happy Hour in Brooklyn Hands Down! Dinner is delicious too and inexpensive! I always go there! I’ve had almost everything on the menu! The service is great and the drinks are strong! They play good music and the atmosphere is nice too! They never disappoint! My fav dishes are the red snapper and the pineapple curry! Any dish can be made spicy and they have plenty of options for vegetarians!

I ordered delivery late on Friday night from Seamless, which said the wait was about 30 – 45 mins. One phone call to the restaurant and well over an hour later, my order arrived. Definitely not a great start to a meal… I ordered a Thai iced tea, red curry, and tom yum soup. The red curry was leaking a bit from the container and the portion of rice that accompanied it was pitiful. Even more annoying was that I did not receive tom yum soup, but instead, something to the effect of a white«broth»(more or less just coconut milk) with some chicken in it. It was hard to stomach the overpowering smell, so I had to throw it out. After waiting that long for delivery, I didn’t bother to call the restaurant back. I always like to try neighborhood places out in hopes of finding a gem, but I think I’ll stick to Born Thai on Flatbush.

Everything was pretty good. We went for lunch after class and were promptly seated. I like the layout of this restaurant, it’s not too crowded. The lunch special is $ 7 for an entrée and appetizer, which is AMAZING. Seriously, so good. I ordered veggie pad thai, which was filling and the crunchy rolls, which were also really great. Make sure to get the thai iced tea. For 3 people, our check came to less than $ 30 and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Thai 101 is dope.
