ATMOSPHERE: Came here tor Trivia Night on a Tuesday, and it was a pretty decent crowd. Not too packed, and didn’t feel the overwhelming hipster feel of Williamsburg(I am a Slope girl). Trivia questions were good, and the host was engaging. Good amount of seating, and downstairs there were pinball and skeeball machines. FOOD: Didn’t try it as when I got there, my friends’ food had been ordered a while ago, and we all know nachos aren’t too great if they’re not fresh, so I can’t rate the food. Will have to try it next time, but from the looks of it, appeared to be standard«regret your decisions the next day» bar food. DRINKS: Cheap! I ordered a mix drink and it came in a pint glass for $ 8. Pitchers had specials, and I believe that they had a HH. Not sure how late it lasts, though. OVERALL: Friendly bartenders, laid back vibe, and cheap drinks. Would return.

I’ve been here twice. Once was just for a few drinks. But my SECONDTIME! I went with a big group of friends for my birthday and it was such a great experience. Being that I had emailed back and forth with Jeff about needed a reserved area for my large group, that was about all that needed to be done there. Once I got there the bartenders Andrew and Jorge made the night so much better! They were friendly and awesome. I’m not a big whiskey drinker myself but they have a large selection for those who do. They’re food is super delicious as well! A bigggg plus plus for your birthday being told ahead of time, the bar buys you a cake on the house.

Not enough good things i can say about this place ! I love the warm party vibe this bar gives off. I’ve never come here and not have a good time. The bartenders Jeff, Andrew and Sarah are awesome and super friendly. Let’s not forget the awesome DJ Kelly who is an awesome girl ! There’s a full food menu, Jell-O shots, beer pong and skee ball could you ask for more? . I’ll be making many trips here !

A great sports bar. Lots of TVs, good wings, affordable drinks, attentive and friendly service. Multiple times my group has been given complementary shots. I went to give 4 stars but can’t think of any downsides after 10 visits. It gets crowded on Sundays, but that’s to be expected. Grand Natty does everything a sports bar should do and does it well. 5 stars.

Avoid at all cost, this experience lasted less than 10 minutes. I was at an event near by with a friend and stopped by this place to have a drink/bite to eat and to see what The Grand National had to offer. We are both DJs so usually I take a peek of the DJ booth to see what kind of set up they had, I’ve done this hundreds of times to make sure they had the right equipment before I left the manager my business card in case they needed a DJ. My friend to went to the rest room and then we went downstairs to check out their game room. This female employee/bartender confronted us and very rudely said«you’re making me nervous» because we was looking at their DJ equipment(from afar) and apparently my friend used the employee bathroom by mistake. She then said«I’m also a „DJ“ and it was very odd for a DJ to look at a place’s equipment» and«are we going to be drinking anything» ha, not anymore! I normally give a place 2 or 3 chances before I gave my opinion about a spot but there is no way that I’ll be back. I will not tolerate this kind of treatment and neither should you. UPDATE: In The Grand National Bar owner’s retaliation to my review of my innocent visit to this establishment, she basically was implying that the 2 Puerto Ricans who entered her bar were doing drugs in her bathroom and that she claimed I was«noticeably jittery» that made me out to be «shady» that made her«suspicious» but DENIES blurting out the first thing that was said to us «YOU’REMAKINGMENERVOUS» and from her response she was clearly PROFILINGUS as soon as we walked in. We are NOT drug addicts nor were we drunk. All of their bad Unilocal review responses are nothing but comic bits, lies and insults.

The moment you walk you’ll notice the warm ambiance. The service is excellent. The color is picturesque which is very important for the gals. This is ideal for a chill group of friends night out. Price wise, loving it! Place where you could buy your friends some drinks. Not inexpensive at all, not too cheap either. Food is good. Can’t complain. Serving is enormous! I’m giving it a

Came here on a saturday night with my boyfriend & friends. When we walk in we sat at the bar & the bartender greeted us, but then we moved to the regular table since were getting some food too. Got seated & ordered our food & drink. For food I got the california burger with sweet potato fries, my boyfried got the new jersey burger with tots. Their burger taste regular. We ordered some appetizers too to share. We got the buffalo chicken wings 16 pieces & mozarella sticks. The chicken wings is kinda hard to chew because it taste like its overcooked so I’m not recommending it. The mozarella sticks taste decent. For our drinks, we liked it because they use pretty good amount of alcohol that blends in well with the drinks. They have some games too like beer pongs & jengas. This place is good for chilling with group of friends or if you want to play some games. Costumer service is really great! The server/bartender always checking on us & make sure we have everything we need!

Great neighborhood sports bar! Can get kinda packed on the weekends but it’s got beer pong and a great energy. Bartenders are always super nice and welcoming. Food is pretty darn good too! I have to say, I was a little upset that they took away brunch but what can ya do?

Hugeee sports bar. Lots of TVs. Lots of people watching TVs when there’s a game on. When we went the night the Mets were playing, every seat was filled with a bunch of people standing around at the bar.

Great stop on a Tuesday to watch the Cubs try and take it! Bartender Kim is a class act. Mostly a drink place(2for one 4 – 7) …not the biggest beer selection but if you’re a whiskey/bourbon drinker its great. Respectabl bar food. It’ll stay on the bookmark list

Solid sports bar and some good food that I would not even call bar food in this case. Had the burger, wings, and a basket of pickle fries. Enjoyed all of the food and the atmosphere. They have plenty of TVs and a good amount of sitting room. Come here for your sporting events and live DJs at night.

Awesome bar, tons of TVs, came here on a Saturday afternoon, drink and food menus had something for everyone. Kelly the owner/bartender was very friendly and so attentive to me and my friend. I went with one of their signature burritos, very tasty and fresh! Of course you can’t go wrong with starting off with a bowl of bacon with some dipping sauces! Wished I lived closer because I cannot wait to go back.

Stopped in to watch the Cavs game(Go Cavs :). I was a bit weary based on a few reviews I read that suggested this place was a nightmare, and seeing one of the owners respond publicly with derision and ridicule(big no-no). Although, as a fellow business owner, I understand her passion and protective nature so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I arrive and, I was able to sit wherever I preferred which was quite nice. The place was exceptionally clean, the food was pretty darned tasty, and the staff was ultra friendly. I will certainly be coming back. If you’ve come across the aforementioned review(s), please don’t allow them to mislead you. My guess is those folks were belligerent, drunken messes, and didn’t like that they weren’t able to destroy the place without being asked to leave. Rock on Grand National!

I have to say, I really love this bar! The measure of any good sports bar(or any service establishment, really) is its level of comfort, a warm, attentive staff and quality food and drink. The Grand Nat has all that and skee ball too! My friends and I coordinated a little get together for game one of NHL Eastern Conference Finals at 1pm and wound up spending the day and watched the Preakness at 6:30pm. Not only did they have the play by play volume on but between stoppages a great playlist of tunes for every mood. Filled with Rangers fans,(which warmed my heart as a native in a city overflowing with transplants and transplant themed bars) it was the next best way to watch the game, aside from being at the Garden. In between the Rangers WIN brunch and our Preakness lunner(lunch + dinner) we played games downstairs and drank one of every cocktail they make! The food was above average quality bar fare with a variety of veggie friendly options that were both non-soy based and tasty enough to have some of the meat eaters picking AND their hot dog and bloody mary options are IMMENSELY better than the average bars. When we were ready to leave, Kelly was chill enough to accept about 8 different cards with different charges and gave us a couple of rounds of «Cosby Kids» orange jell-o shots for the road. A bar you can spend a half a day in, enjoy on several levels AND get stellar service from start to finish has earned my biz and I’ll be back to watch more games there more often! #LGR #Bkallday #GrandNatGameDayFun

Very chill atmosphere and super friendly service. We ordered the BBQ wings and French fries. They weren’t the best but at least it tasted fresh(just basic sauce). Our sever was friendly and easily accommodated our large group. There was trivia going on that night, which I didn’t not participate in, but I hope to come back to WIN!

Nice bartenders, lots of TVs, decent bar food and prices. I bet this place gets packed during big games so come early to get a seat. It’s nice to have a place like this around, I don’t really know of any other true sports bars in the area.

I am giving 5 stars to a sports bar. Well, for a sports bar, it’s just about perfect, so there you go. The layout is wide, accommodating and beautiful. The TV screens are gigantic and in HD(you wouldn’t think HD would be a thing, but try the bar directly across the street, and you’ll see what I mean). The bar itself has hooks for bags and jacks for phone, computer plugs, a masterful touch. The staff are friendly and quick. The wings pass my high bar for excellence. And the beer is cheap. One more detail: They have a DJ who deftly switches from TV game commentary to music whenever there’s a commercial. Nice touch. Only downside I can see for this place is that it’s real new, so there’s still a varnish-y smell in the air.

Me and my girlfriend saw this place across the street from Williams and Bailey’s and figured we’d give it a shot. The place is very spacious, wait staff was prompt and genuine(admitting when she forgot something we’d said) and there were plenty of TV’s to watch UConn get stomped by S. Florida. The downstairs area had a little arcade area with a booth which was surprising. I ordered a Upstate Burger while my girl ordered a pulled chicken sandwich along with a pitcher of Yuengling. It was a standard burger for a bar, and my girlfriend’s pulled chicken was extremely dry, but that there Mac and Cheese Sauce was interesting. One thing worth noting was that the music selection was amazing(Flight of the Concords!) Overall I would stick with Williams and Bailey’s for food and drinks. For a new bar, it’s an excellent first impression IMO despite some kinks which I’m sure they’ll iron out.
