Last night I was approached for 35 cents by one of the local drunkards. Because he was entirely too close to me, I pointed at him with my umbrella and told him to step back. I told him I have no change and he thanked me and left. He heard me asking the clerk for bourbon, became irate, and spoke aloud about me having money for Manischewitz but not 35 cents for him. I had to set him straight. When I reminded him that it is my money, he said«I know it’s your money!» I said«If you know, then why are you talking s**t?» He kept shut and remained shut when I left the store. Even though this place is down the block from me, I’m gonna head back to Liquor Warehouse on Washington and Dean in Prospect Hts. There aren’t any loitering drunkards out front and it isn’t wallpapered in bulletproof glass.

This place is the worst. I bought a $ 12 bottle of wine(which is pricey for a corner liquor store) and when I opened it up it was sour and had gone bad. I brought the wine back and they refused to replace it because it was open! Now I am no rocket scientist but if you sell a bottle of wine that is rotten you need to refund or replace it and one can not tell if I bottle has turn to the dark side until it has been opened. I mean come on…

When my beloved Amber Liquor store is closed, I mosey right on over to this joint. Heads up that you can only peruse your selections through the bulletproof glass.
