I’ve been coming to this place for years as I have lived in Red Hook most of my life.
The food and service is usually great. The staff are always super nice IF you treat them with some type of respect.
Which brings me to the downside, this place attracts a lot rather ghetto people from my neighborhood who are loud and incredibly rude to the staff. Not the store’s fault, the prices are really cheap and the food is good so they get a good deal of business. It just ruins the atmosphere some times.
Bottom line is, if you are in Red Hook, need something quick and cheap to hold you over, come here.

Greasy chicken served through bullet proof glass. it’s as good as it sounds. Not sure if the bullet proof glass is protecting the chicken from theft or protecting the employees from irate customers. Any hoo. after a hard day selling crack at the projects it’s nice to saunter across the street and kick back with a box of Kentucky Fried Knock-​Off chicken and a forty. Oh yeah, the fries aren’t bad and they sell pizza too
