Outlets are abundant, so you will never run out of juice, but wi-fi can be a bit spotty, and I’ve had better coffee. Still, Vineapple won my heart a long time ago with its concert photography-covered exposed brick walls, tons of comfortable seating, fresh almond croissants and grilled cheese sandwiches. On one hand, the employees won’t look at you sideways if you camp out with your laptop and do your work. On the other hand, getting things done will probably take longer than usual because you will be distracted Shazam-ing all the awesome tunes from Vineapples’ rock– and indie-heavy playlist. Luckily, if you do end up working past afternoon, you can seamlessly transition from coffee to(generously poured) wine local brews on tap.

Everything here is at least $ 1 more than it should be(although I’m sure the rent is absurdly high, to be fair). The food selection is paltry and they were out of many of the items when I went. This makes the $ 8 card minimum even sillier than it already is. The staff is unfriendly. Seating is plentiful but outlet density is low. The place is full of people who look like they were sent by Central Casting to play trust-fund hipsters, and they are just as unfriendly as the staff.

Don’t go. After being one of my favorite spots, today was unfortunately my last visit. It used to have amazing lattes and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the service is poor and the place is not being kept up. Most people write bad reviews based on a service experience. I’ll admit, the service experience is mediocre at best. However, that’s not why I go to a coffee house. I go for an amazing latte. I don’t know what changed but my favorite bean, Stumptown’s, is getting ruined. They might a well be microwaving the milk and pouring shots in it. It’s that bad. The food prep counters have the workers personal effects on them. Gross. Food prep counters, not the worker’s coat and laptop storage. It’s third time I’ve had my weekend Stumptown latte ruined and to me, it’s worth the walk over the bridge to Columbe to get a better one. The management has checked out and you’d be better served to check out something else.

My top go to place in Brooklyn. The environment is super homey and the coffee is always good. I’ve never had any complaints about this place; the staff knows what they’re doing and they’re not pretentious like most. They have some pastries and I’ve tried most, but I personally don’t like any of them. It’s a great place to come read or study; it’s always quiet and oddly feels like a cool library.

Upon walking in you think this place is gold. Until your first interactions began with rude customer service, a whopping 8 dollar card min(and no atm), followed by the inevitable intrusion of some hipsters awful kids. The coffee is good– but over priced. The layout is awesome providing plenty of room and charging spots. Too bad their employees and the bulk of their clientele are almost too much to handle.

Good coffee, decent wifi, and both comfy couches and long tables, so a good place to work. Music selection isn’t great and the staff can be hit or miss. They serve alcohol too, but close pretty early, so definitely more of a place to hang out during the day than late at night.

If you’re looking for a great space with stumptown coffee, this is it! The best part about this café is the varying levels of volume– there are tables people use for studying or working quietly, and couches for chatting with friends. I live local, so sometimes I’ll meet a friend here to grab a beer and hang out for a laid back evening.

nice, relaxed place. Tables and couches are available for a quick stop or a long break. Full of local students studying or chatting but overall it’s really quiet. The employees are friendly and attentive. Didn’t try the food, but the coffee was great.

Quiet. It has WiFi and large tables. A good place to get some work done without the owners trying to kick you out(like in the city). The music is shitty though with mostly top 40 pops.

After being battered by the blistering strong wind and utter cold of Hurricane Joaquin October 2015, my party of two trekked to Vineapple on Pineapple Street in Brooklyn, NY for warmth of a local coffee house. Cozy atmosphere with chairs, couch, bar stools, tables and bar counter equipped for patrons seeking stillness of inner peace, power and WiFi signal for tech gadgets, reading newspapers or engaging in a book for solitude. Modern and clean with a simple look. The staff allow patrons to sit for hours or at least when it gets busy. With great disappoint, no more chocolate chip cookies. No classic chocolate pastries as chocolate croissant, or chocolate donut, or chocolate brownie. I opt for a hot Jasmine Green Tea. All teas are from Harney & Sons. Teas and coffee are served in disposable paper cups rather than actual china when dinning in fending a cheap quality atmosphere of this business. Servers are average robots who appears apathetic and extremely STOLID without compassion for my great abiding passion for my favorite sweet: chocolate chip cookie(without nuts). The absence of chocolate chip cookies with a cup of tea or coffee in a coffee house drains the mood and brings darkness to one’s spirit. Despite the horrible weather I made my trek to my local pharmacy to attain chocolate chip cookies for enjoyment in the comfort of my own home. Note: Credit card purchase is $ 8.00 minimum. MEH! Their business card also serves as a loyalty card for the tenth drink is free.

OK coffee, but a good place to hang out. Cozy and dim with plenty of space. Relaxed music. Staff is a bit haughty.

A few weeks ago I was walking around the neighborhood and was perusing Unilocal for a coffee shop nearby. From the photos and reviews, this place looked like it’d be a great choice — and I do think it was a good choice. Just a few things weren’t that fabulous. :/ I really only wanted coffee, but I only had my debit card on me, so I unfortunately had to spend at least $ 8 to meet the minimum. I ordered a sandwich with my coffee, which I suppose I made myself get excited for, since I paid for it. I’m not sure if sandwiches usually take a long time or if it was because the woman behind the counter was texting without looking up once for — and I am truly not exaggerating — about 10 – 15 minutes, but since I wasn’t told where to wait or when it’d come out, I found myself kind of staring at the counter for that period of time. Maybe she was being lax because I wasn’t asked if I was taking it to go, even though my coffee had been given to me in a to-go container. Maybe she thought I was gonna be hanging out there for awhile and I wouldn’t mind waiting. If you’re in a hurry and just want coffee, I’d say go for it and visit this place, but if you’re in a hurry for food, I’d say probably go somewhere nearby. Maybe the food doesn’t normally take that long and I wasn’t very important. Maybe she wasn’t in the best mood. Maybe she was dealing with a family crisis. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but still, it seemed like maybe she just didn’t care. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee was great, too. But the service wasn’t fabulous and I felt a little bit of coldness from the lady behind the counter.

Upon walking in I thought to myself, «this place is nice, clean and quiet– it’s perfect.» I even started to question people“s negative reviews. But it is clear now why they have terrible reviews. They have a $ 8 minimum??? That doesn’t even make sense. People go to coffee shops mainly for a cup of coffee, why would anyone want to spend $ 8 each time. It’s ridiculous. When I told the cashier I didn’t want anything else because I didn’t see anything I would enjoy, her co worker suggested I put the rest in tip. So not only was I feeling forced to spend $ 8 but now I was being TOLD to just tip them to reach the $ 8 minimum. Unbelievable! Anyway, I ended up buying a cappuccino, chocolate croissant and a brownie cookie which my 8 year old thought it was«disgusting». Not to mention their chocolate croissant taste like the croissants that come in a plastic wrapper you find at the corner deli. Never again.

I really like this place. Good coffee. But people come here mainly because it has the potential to be a great spot to get work done. So please, stop blasting Sia and Katie Perry. It’s really messing with the vibe. Edit: I’m switching from four stars to three stars because it has an $ 8 credit card minimum. It’s 2015. You’re a coffee shop. Not a bar. Stop forcing people to go to nearby ATMs so they can buy a coffee at your establishment.

The quiet and cozy atmosphere coupled with steady wifi, makes this a perfect place for studying and getting work done. Alternatively, it’s a great place to escape the bustle of smorgasburg.

The coffee shop is nice. The quality is ok. It depends on whose behind the counter. I like the area. The shop has a chill vibe. This kind of place you can’t go too wrong with ordering a latte. So if you are looking for a recommendation I’d say go that route at vineapple. I will say is the better off coffee shops in brooklyn heights.

I’ve been here a few times to get a quick espresso and I’ve been pleasantly surprised only once. The staff are unresponsive and don’t seem to want to be there. The coffee, which is the most important part to me, is good but tends to be made poorly. My espresso is too hot with poor crème(except once when it was near perfect), my mocha was bland with care given to properly foaming the milk, and my experience has yet to be a good one. Sitting down here for the first time, I have to say the space is excellent. Great space to work. I would definitely come back to sit here. In the end, I’d say this place is good enough.

I love Vineapple. I live in a café-infested nabe and will choose trekking to Vineapple every time. The baristas are friendly and the drinks are pretty good but the ambiance is what makes it for me. There’s couches everywhere, they’re always playing good«coffee house» music, the patrons are also generally pretty nice and will make room for you on the couch/not spill their life’s belongings into your lap. It’s quiet. For me, it’s my perfect place to do work and get a few soy lattes. Oh, should mention– It’s a laptop heavy café. If people working around you ruins your vibe, this is probably not the place for you.

Ugh, where to start? Vineapple is close to work and they brew Stumptown. So, naturally, the coffee is very good. The staff and people who bogart the space leave a lot to be desired. I don’t understand the staff rudeness. Café Pedlar makes superior coffee and everyone there is wonderful. But at Vineapple, I’m apparently making their lives difficult by ordering coffee. So, to all those who go there and are annoyed by the staff, here’s a tip: out-snob them. If you get nastiness from them, try this: ask if they do pourovers. When they say«No», respond with«Oh» in the most condescending way possible. The best way to beat a rude, hipster barista? Out-hipster them. Suck it, squares.

Vineapple is truly a comfy place to bring your laptop & work and enjoy some caffeinated libations at the same time! Also, it doesn’t hurt that I live 3 — 4 buildings down from this place, which is super convenient for me! I go to this spot quite often, and, by now, the barristas know my coffee order by heart… and the owner is all smiles when I speak to her. How awesome! Sure, sometimes the lines are long in the a.m. while the barristas are working their magic, but the wait is never too long. Btw, just so you know, this coffee joint features more than just great coffee, awesome snacks, and great service… they have long picnic style tables and comfy chairs for unloading your laptop and doing some work. In fact, I often find myself packing up my computer and walking down the road to do some co-working at Vineapple. I do have one final note about the pastries they serve – they are utterly amazing. They get their pastries from Colson Patisserie, and they are top-notch. My favorite is the Everything Bagel, which is your typical New York-style bagel but baked and flavored to perfection. Mmmmmm, my mouth is watering right now. In fact, the first thing I’m gonna do when I wake up is go downstairs and get one of those bagels, bring it home, toast it, and slap plenty of cream cheese and lox on top! Nom!!! P. S. They have wine(hence the name Vineapple) & beer, which can be purchased in a bar-like area of their establishment. So, if you’re nearby and wanting to have a relaxing glass of wine later in the evening, check this place out.
