Had dinner here for the first time last week right before heading to LAX to drop my KOREAN parents off at the airport to send them off to KOREA. I’m Korean haha Anyway, since then I’ve been here twice. So, that means I’ve been here three times this month. Why? Because everything tastes exactly like my excellent cook mother makes it. The kimchi stew, the bean paste stew, the spicy pork bulgogi. It’s like she never left! I will say though that they need to get their water to rice ratio right because the rice is always mushy, but the rest of the food makes up for it. I always try to come around 5 or 5:30 because this place is tiny and you will most likely wait. I’ve been lucky to come early enough that I didn’t have to, and the food comes out very quickly too!

I was a bit disappointed after all the great reviews and trying this place out. I only tried it once so i could be wrong but bc i heard such great things about this place, a friend and I went here to try the food and it was very standard. Not saying it’s bad. Not bad at all. But nothing special at all either. The good thing is they seem to give larger portions for cheaper prices than other Korean restaurants.

Came here by «word of mouth» from a family member and it was just as they explained. Tasty! Authentic Korean food! Healthy taste! I ordered the chicken bulgogi with vegetables(used to wrap) which came with a soup on the side(fermented bean soup) it sounds gross but it’s one of Korea’s traditional soups and although it was a bit on the salty side, it was amazing mixed with rice. My dad ordered a fish soup that was, first on the soup menu(forgot the name). It is a special fish that many Koreans use in soup as a hang over cure but overall it is eaten for its health benefits. The food is absolutely«home style» and it seems as if the place uses little or even no MSG. Lot of places claim they don’t use MSG in their menu items but I can’t seem to fully trust them. However this place does not advertise the non-use of MSG but from the taste, it has a clean and refreshing taste. I am definitely coming back and if you are looking for some authentic Korean food(home style Korean food) I highly recommend this place.

saturday night date night happened right here at mindeulle aka dandelion in english. the restaurant was poppin. it’s also incredibly small, so if you come at peak dinner hours, you’ll have to wait. the only reason i give it 4 is because even though there were 2 tables that could seat 2 people parties, they just used it as space to put things rather than seat people. they only finally sat us when someone asked why they weren’t using those tables. once we go to our seats however is when the goodness happened. boyfriend ordered the spicy bulgogi ssam bab. this comes with a variety of greens, bulgogi and bean paste soup. SHITWASBOMB. i’ve never seen the bf devour his dinner like that. the only couple times he came up for air was to tell me how it was the best korean food he’s had in OC. i ordered the grilled mackerel. although tasty as well, did not compare to ssam bab. we enjoyed it so much we want to go again the next day, but they were closed :(we are now saving it for our week night pick me up. which mean’s we’ll probably go again tonight… :X

It took 30 minutes to get our food and the bibimbap took 45 minutes so I cancelled it because we were almost done eating. They didn’t give us any chopsticks or spoon. Other people who came after us got served first. I’m Korean but my husband is not so I think they were being racist.

Best Korean Food in Buena Park. Quality of food is excellent. Even 4 people order 3 kinds, it is enough for all. This restaurant is a little small, so ready for waiting during the lunch time.

I literally live a minute away from this place and I would have never have thought to step foot in here. But one night, I really wanted some Korean food and of course I looked up Unilocal and found this place. The reviews were decent and from what I saw from the pictures, it looked quite tasty. So the girlfriend and I decided to go and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I ordered the ssambap with the steamed pork belly. The girlfriend ordered the donkatsu. The banchan was delicious and service I believe was very prompt. When my food came out, I was amazed at the portions for what I was paying. It came with a bunch of vegetables, pork belly, dwenjang goohk, and rice. It was definitely enough food for me, even sharing with the girlfriend. Ok, so the donkatsu wasn’t all that great. The breading was kind of weird and there was some strange fried thing on the plate that we could not identify. Needless to say, we just packed the katsu in a box to take home. At the end of the meal, they pour you some hobahk(squash?) shikae. I’ve never had that kind before, but it just tasted like normal shikae… it was good! The only downside to this place, is that it’s in a plaza with a bunch of other ghetto stores around. I saw a few shady characters driving through the parking lot, but other than that, this is definitely one of several on my list of places I’ll go to get my authentic Korean food fix.

This place is called Dandelion in real life if you’re a non-korean like me. All the customers except us were Korean which shows it’s authentic enough for them to go there. Everything from the appetizers to the bulgogi bibimbap and the spicy chicken lunch plate was amazingly tasty. So much flavor in every bite. Really blown away! This is my favorite restaurant ever… I would give it 10 stars if I could!

I was in the area and just wanted to eat some Korean food so I dropped by and I was pleasantly surprised. I came in around 11:15 and was the first customer and by the time I left the restaurant was more than half full. I ordered kimchi jjiggae and it was really delicious. There was a lot of meat, tofu and kimchi. I couldn’t even finish half. It’s more than enough for two people. I like how the kimchi in the stew is left uncut and they give you scissors. The side dishes tasted fresh and the waitress was friendly and attentive.

I’m a big fan of their boiled pork slices that comes with a basket of veggies including carrots, green leafs, and my fav the minty green leaf. I really do not know how to eat it this dish, but I prepare it like a veggie wrap. Along with the pork and veggie basket, you also get the side dishes including kimchi and soy bean soup. Overall, great dish! If I am in the area after work, I like stop by here and get my pork veggie fix.

Small Korean Restaurant This place is definitely worth! Pros: –7 side dishes that are delicious and fresh. One of the best restaurant with good side dishes. –comfortable environment, quiet, although around 8 – 10 tables for 4. –server lady is very, very kind. –bought ssam bab for $ 12.99! Definitely get your money’s worth. See picture. Also comes with fish(not in picture) — no external charge for extra rice or side dishes. Also have korean style brown rice option. — free dessert rice drink at end of meal() — free wifi. Password is on front desk. Cons: –Location of restaurant. Its in the midst of a Hispanic community. Im not implying Hispanic people are bad or poor. Its just the only korean building in the plaza. I’ll come here again for sure.

We found this restaurant from an OC Register article on the latest Korean cafes popping up in the Buena Park area. The Ssam Bop(wraps) came with a wide variety of greens including dandelion leaves, perilla leaves, cucumbers, red leaf lettuce, etc. The interior was a small but clean and tidy. Since my wife loves Ssam Bop, we’ll definitely be coming here again.

Their restaurant is very compact. There is also a lot of flies because they keep their doors opened. Side dishes are delicious. Those take a lot of work and on point. Al tang was okay. The soup base was not rich or thick. It was spicy and delicious but wished the soup was better. Bossam was delicious. Meet was tender and soft. The meat combo was awesome too. The marinated beef was marinated perfectly and was very flavorful. I wish they gave more veggies tho… Or put it in a small plate because it looked weird. Service is slow… Wish they were more attentive and proactive than reactive and waiting for customers to call on them. Their dessert pumpkin rice sweet drink is creative and absolutely refreshing!

I went with my Fiancé a couple days ago and I was very happy to find this new restaurant! The place isnt too big — about 6 – 7 tables, but the food is amazing! This is now my favorite place for Pork Rib Stew with Kimchi. you get a HUGE bowl of it. the broth is clear and flavorful. You get a large piece of Pork meat that’s tender and juicy. Great for a cold day, or any day you’re craving soup. The Ban-chan side dishes are also really good. I love the radish, seaweed, and mashed potato. free refills as well! MUSTTRY!

Came on thursday with my gf, place is small but looks very clean and nice. Drawings on the walls was beautiful, looks very unique. Now on to the foods, they specialize in korean ssam bbab, so we decided to get steam prok with napa. Food came out pretty quickly. Steamed pork ssam bbab was amazing, meat was very moist and side dish that comes with ssam bbab was also very delicious. I will be back soon to try other menu! There was new added menus that wasnt here before. Im going to try all of them! Ps service was very good
