I really like the food here. Kinda slow, though. Only one person preparing the food. I think that needs to change. However, the prep area is kinda small. And, kinda pricey. It’s good, but not $$$ good. :)

This place is ridiculously slow. I order a head of time came in after my appointed time and still waited 20 minutes. Seriously great sandwiches but my disabled mother who barely moves goes faster. And yes they have a great deal on groupon however none in the store is prepared to accept them. I had to come in several time to be able to use my purchase. My first visit I waited I. Line for 15 minutes minimum before being addressed then when trying to order I was told they were all out of that meat and I should come back another time. They had 3 customers in the store a couple already eating one person that ordered in front of me. So they weren’t overly busy with people. Anyways shirt story good food crap service.

I hadn’t eaten at a Dickeys before but I had heard good things about the one in downtown Fort Worth from my mother. So with a Groupon voucher I got a couple of pulled pork sandwiches for my kids and I. The meat was so dry I couldn’t even choke it down without copious amounts of tea. The sauce tasted just like Kraft bottled barbecue sauce. The buns were even stale. It makes me wonder how long the sandwiches sat there waiting for a Groupon customer to happen by. I might try another Dickeys in another town but I won’t go to this one again EVER.

We love Dickey’s and have been to several locations. This one was AWFUL. We were there today(Sunday afternoon) for lunch around 1:30. The service was slow but that was not a problem. The biggest issue was with my salad. Unlike other Dickey’s that have their side dishes out for you look at and choose, this one you ordered and they get the sides for you from behind the counter.(Which is fine) There was a teenage boy assisting us and I ordered a Caesar salad as one of my sides. As I stood there at the register in full view, he took a bag of salad out of a little refrigerator. He then stuck his bare hand in the bag(no gloves) and grabbed a handful of lettuce and put it in a cup. I was shocked. Then he took a huge jar of dressing out of the same fridge and the jar had NOLID on it and you could see it was old as there was caked on dry dressing at the top of the jar. He poured a little in a cup and tried to serve it to me. In addition to this, the salad was browning and NOT fresh.(Not that I would have eaten it anyway at this point) I then told the young man I did NOT want the salad! I got double green beans instead but my appetite was shot at this point. I ate some of my turkey and just a tiny bit of my brisket as the brisket was awful. The very little they gave me was fatty and tough. The portion size here for the price was not comparable to other locations… they definitely went skimpy on the meat for everyone in our party. I am appalled at the food safety violations I witnessed and will NEVER eat here again. Needless to say the salad incident just made me wonder what was going on with cleanliness and freshness of the other food. I understand that Dickey’s is a franchise and a lot of the success or failure of the location depends on the franchise owner. This owner clearly needs to provide more food safety training to his/her staff and have a more engaged Manager on site. Eat here at your own risk!

It’s was 7pm and I forgot to thaw meat to make dinner, so we decided to just order take out and wasn’t in the mood for Chinese. So we ordered online to pick up in store. We got to the restaurant to pick up, as we pulled up an employee was standing by the drink fountain, he noticed we were getting out of the car and went into the back. There wasn’t a single other person in the restaurant, so we figured, maybe he knew we were picking up and went to grab our order. We walked up to the register and saw people walking around in the back, but no one came out. After a few minutes of passive aggressively talking loudly in hopes that someone would come to greet us, I finally just yelled out«excuse me!» And a kid came to the register. I told him we had an online order, he walked over to the wall, grabbed the ticket and disappeared again without saying a word. After a few minutes another kid came out and put a bag on the counter and walked in the back again. Again, we were the only customers inside the store, I didn’t understand what was going on in the back that they needed to be back there so much on a Thursday night. Finally the first kid came back out and asked if we wanted something else, I said I was still waiting for my food, he pointed at the bag the other kid placed on the counter. We grabbed it and left, «do you want anything else» was literally the only words spoken to us during the 10 – 15 minutes we were in the restaurant. When we got home we each had 11⁄8 inch slices of brisket and chicken and about a tablespoon of pulled pork. For the price it’s wasn’t worth it at all. We won’t be going back. I’m yet to find a satisfactory bbq place around here.

horrible service. staff audibly grumbled and complained about making my order from the time i walked up to the counter. they forgot 2 okras and blamed it on me ordering too many things. Megan stole money from the shared tip jar then argued and bullied other staff about it in front of us. we won’t be back.

I think this is the best BBQ i have ever had! The décor is really retro and fun, the service is great with friendly folks, they have free ice cream and lots of goodies on the menu. I will be returning, for sure.

I have had Dickey’s in other locations, and finally stopped in here to try them out. They still have the same décor and layout of the Chapps Burgers that was there before. We went inside and although there were staff up front they were working on drive thru orders and did not acknowledge us. We were acknowledged after about 5 minutes and a few minutes later someone finally came up to serve us. Got some really short, roundabout answers to questions we had so we left without getting anything. It was a Sunday evening and there was only one other table filled in the dining room, a mother and her small child. Go down the road to the other place and get treated like you should.
