Visited this restaurant last night for the first time. I was very impressed by the service. Our server was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu. We started off by ordering a delicious bottle of garnacha. I am a wine enthusiast and was extremely pleased with the wine selection. Then our server suggested the firecracker shrimp as an app. Each bite was better than the last! It was seasoned with Siracha but had cole slaw under it to cool the heat. I ordered the New York strip with mushroom risotto and it was cooked to perfection. Medium rare is the only way to eat a steak. I would have loved to have had dessert but was too full from the huge portion of steak! Will definitely come back again.

We were told we would have a 45 minute wait. After an hour we were told that we would be the next seated. We watched 4 parties be seated. I asked what the situation was after 15 min. We were told that they were a bit behind. Then we watched as they sat people who came in after us. The manager whined that that had a large party taking up 6 tables so they were behind. I explained that it would be nice if they realistically set waiting customers expectations related to wait times. After almost 2 hours She couldn’t provide a table, we left without eating and will never return.

The wait in this restaurant is awful. We had a reservation and they still made us wait for over half an hour. The waiting area is small and they overbook the customers. Awful service. Never coming back here again.

Dry rubbed wings were delicious but the coleslaw it accompanied the dish was an afterthought. All you taste is the mayo. Yuck. Their Philly Steak Spring rolls were the worst. No seasoning and super cheap chewy meat inside. So bad we had to send it back to the kitchen. They were nice enough to take it off the tab. Sounded like we weren’t the only customer who complained about the rolls according to the server. Most likely because these were made elsewhere and packaged and frozen to these franchise stores so if one batch is bad, the rest are too. Yuck. The fish tacos(haddock) were actually pretty decent despite the fishy smell. Overall, the food was sub par compared to Tavern in the Square. We won’t be coming back.

A fire alarm was triggered half way through our appetizers. We stood outside for twenty minutes to wait for the all clear. In the mean time, the remainder of our appetizers had gone cold and the ice melted in my martini. The waiter blamed the fire alarm on the«misfits at five guys». Someone had pulled the alarm as a prank, and there was no camera to prove who. Thank you Burtons for deciding not to charge me $ 5 for my cold soup. Way to go! That’s how you inspire loyalty. I completely understand that it may not have been the fault of anyone at Burtons, however, deciding not to charge me for soup that was cold through no fault of my own, and that’s it given the interruption to my meal is not really loyalty inspiring…

Nice atmosphere, perfect waitress, excellent salad, but my filet mignon dinner was truly sad. Perhaps the meat had been frozen and defrosted a few times creating a texture oddly like firm tofu flavored with Worcesterhire sauce. The accompanying broccolli was overcooked mush as well. My husband’s lobster/shrimp pasta dish was good, but for $ 100 we expected TWO good meals. That was possibly the worst steak I have ever had

Burtons Grill offers a nice and safe gluten free dining experience. They have a separate menu, that offers a relatively large number of items to chose from. They do a good job with handling cross contamination. The manager on duty will deliver the dishes to provide an additional measure to make sure the dishes don’t get mixed up. The food, especially the pasta, has a nice flavor. The cooks do a good job of cooking the noodles and the end result is an actual noodle and not a pasty mess. The food is also well seasoned and not overly salty. Depending on when you go, it can be crowed a and you can expect a wait. The bar area is first come, first serve with a mixture of low tops, high tops, and bar top seating. In nicer weather, additional patio seating. The main dining room offers a handful of tables and booths. During dinner they do tend to dim the lights a bit. Overall Burtons is a good gf dinning option in the area with reasonably prices. Tips: — if they have a singer in the bar and you want a quite meal, sit in the main dining area or do takeout –they do offer really good gluten free bread to start for no up charge!

Very pleasant surprise. Great for kids, you can choose from steak, chicken, fish or vegetarian and also the sides. Se ordered the shrimp firecracker and it was delicious. The fish tacos was well done but not light, it needed less guacamole and more fresh salsa and the salmon burger was excellent. We are a fish family and all the fish was perfectly cooked. The bathroom was cleaned with hot water and very spacious, with changing table for the young ones. They even have a stool for the little ones to be able to reach the sink. Ambience and décor are very pleasant . The only two reasons I can’t give them a 5 are: 1) it took them longer than expect to serve the kids food even thought we ordered them at least 5 minutes before apps but apps came 10 minutes before the kids. 2) the spacing between tables in the dining area is non –existent. If they can accommodate ask for booth seating. Overall; very happy and will return.

Service was very good but food was not. This was lunch. We ordered two fish entrees — one was baked haddock with a seafood topping. Fish was good quality but soggy, topping was dried out. The other dish, salmon Romesco, had a thin sauce that was heavy on vinegar/lemon and cream with a sort of tomato/cayenne base — no almond flavor at all — and the fish itself OK. Both came on jasmine rice that was heavy on butter and uninspired. I have been to the Burton’s in Mount Pleasant, SC, which is excellent, so this was a disappointment. Not a good offering at this price point — menu needs work. On the plus side, the sandwiches going by looked good.

Found this place through Unilocal, and it was fantastic! Broad and interesting drink menu, and best of all-they had a gluten free menu(with gf pasta, buns for sandwiches, and even gf fried food)…it was awesome! We had the gf fried calamari-cooked perfectly :) We ate at the bar, and the service was excellent. A five-star review for sure!!!

There are few places that you can go and feel 100% safe with celiac disease. This is my go to! The managers are all amazing. Food is so flavorful. They even make accommodations for non gluten free items. Tonight one of the managers Shane made me a pumpkin martini and instead of non gluten free vanilla vodka I got a scoop of vanilla ice cream with titos vodka. Amazing!

This was my first time here and my experience definitely makes me want to come back. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and they have a great menu(to include an awesome drink selection). I had the(seasonal) butternut squash soup($ 5) and a small cobb salad. The soup was so good, I highly recommend it! It also makes me want to try the butternut squash ravioli…(= The salad was a traditional cobb($ 7) with big chunks of bleu cheese, bacon, egg, and avocado– I was impressed. One thing I appreciated was they accommodated my request for a small cobb salad(only the large size is on the menu). The service was also very good. Our waitress was nice and continued to make sure we had everything we needed. I was a little afraid they wouldn’t be super happy we were there because we arrived about half an hour before closing and stayed a little past closing, but they seemed to have no problems! They also have a small bites bar menu applicable after 4pm. One thing on there to note is parmesan truffle fries… yuummmmm!!!

Great place to take your kids. Our first time here… Food was very good. Service was outstanding. We have kids, and the kids meal came out right away. They split the burger for us. Wesley, our server, anticipated every need — brought out a water with my second beer and ten other little things that just make the whole experience better. Plus everyone there was just smiling and happy. We go out to eat a lot, and with kids, we appreciate good and accommodating service. I recommend this place highly.

Really pretty good food and good service. Decent wine and drink selection. The menu is steak centric and they do a nice job at that, the rest of the menu hits all the required notes/options(the Philly Cheese Steak Rolls are excellent). They seem to take pride in the food/presentation and service and that’s what you want when your eating out — no matter where you are or how much you pay. I highly recommend trying Burtons Grill — the burger really is a must try.

Gltuen Free Heaven!!! I have Celiac’s disease so eating out can be quite the chore. Not to mention the repercussions if I inadvertently get«glutened». I came on the recommendation of a friend and I was really blown away. The staff was very friendly and helpful about my restriction. It is so nice to feel like they took it seriously. I really appreciate that! They have a good sized menu for gluten free with great choices. Probably the best thing was the risotto balls, mainly because I thought getting something fried and full of cheese was never going to happen again! My dreams came true!!! I had delicious creamy gluten free chicken risotto for my entrée. Yes, I had to have every cream based dish because I didn’t think it was possible. Yay, for these great chefs! I will always recommend and come back to Burton’s, especially if you have any food restrictions. They know how to take care of you!

Came here for my 23rd birthday. I was sick as ever when I got my shrimp feta pasta, so it tasted really bland. Next day, I feel a lot better and gain back my sense of taste, but the plate tasted just as plain. It was absolutely tasteless! My friends got the pan roasted chicken and NY strip. The chicken was really dry, but the steak was good. The service was absolutely exceptional, so I give Burtons that. Their other fishes look good, so I will come back to give it another shot. But for right now, I think it’s just overpriced American food.
