If you ever want to have all you can eat sushi made-to-order, this is the spot. Pros: They have a nice atmosphere. In addition, they have television screens so you can catch a game or keep up with the scores. I also noticed that they group rooms where you can dine traditional Japanese style. The food was good and they have a wide range of sushi rolls and appetizers to choose from. Cons: Since the food is made-to-order, it can seem slow(but that’s why you bring good company to keep you occupied and amused while waiting for your food. haha) Happy dining.

It was worse place ever!!! My friends and I came here fore lunch AYCE and took 30min to get first order of rolls and I did not get my sushi and salad so I asked the waitress how much longer it takes, and she said«it will be right out». So I waited another 10min(BC the waitresses are never around the floor. They were on the other side) and I asked again and the waitress said«you have not asked about the sushi». I was like wtf. Finally after 40min I got my sushi and salad. The sushi was not fresh it was soggy and gross… Worst sushi. Do not order sushi!(Rolls were better than sushi). Anyways we finished eating and I charged on my card. I wanted to get out of that place as fast as possible so I just signed the paper without writing total amount and left a penny for tip then walked out. Worst part!!! After few days I was checking my bank statement, the sushi place charged me 26 instead of 21. They wrote down the tip amount and fking charged on me. So I called to get my money back but they don’t even admit that it was their fault and saying ‘it is a mistake’. It is definitely not a mistake!!! It is clear that they wrote down $ 5 tip!!! This is fraud!!! I didn’t wanted to leave bad reviews for them but when I nicely complaint, they didn’t even admit what they have done wrong and it is clearly not just a mistake!!! Overall, Horrible experience, worse sushi, WORSTSERVICE&FRAUD!!!

Not much on the outside but yummy on the inside. This place is all you can eat, so come with an appetite. It has a great selection of food to choose from. There is also a traditional Japanese seating table on tatami if you so choose. Nice place, good atmosphere.

This is my families go to sushi spot. Love the people and we’ve never been disappointed. If you’re in a big group or celebrating a party try to snag the tables where you take off your shoes and«sit on the floor» The Eagle eye and the Jessica Roll are our favorites!

Twenty-five dollars for all you can eat sushi, you cannot go wrong with it! Specially when most of their AYCE menu is built up of sushi rolls that usually more than ten dollars per roll. In effect, the food can pay for itself. Their sushi is made to order and tastes seriously good. However, when it’s busy, it does take time for your order to get to you. The staff is friendly and work as fast as they can. There are quite a few sushi places around, but I always go here.

Highly disappointed with this evenings meal. Went there wih a total of 7 people. 5 of us got the all you can eat and the other 2 got the individuals. Ordered a spider roll before anything was ordered and a Hawaiian roll. We all got our food. Plenty of time left, ordered 3 more rolls as we were waiting for the other ordered food to arrive. The restaurant was cleaning up and somehow didnt see my second order for 3 more rolls. Told the waitres about my remaining rolls and she said the cook probably didnt see it, he wears glasses. Told her never mind to change mine to individual since I only got 2 rolls and my oce tea. Should have gotten a discount for not fulfilling my order. Never again.

My husband and I love Sushi and despite already having found our so far favourite spot in ventura(Sumo) I let him talk me into trying this restaurant. I told him to check Unilocal and based on past reviews we picked this place. Bad idea… unfortunately… the only good thing was that we were seated relatively quickly and the place is decorated very cute. The food and service would get a clear F for failed. My husband decided to go for all-you-can-eat and ordered two oysters and two mussels and 3 more rolls. He LOVES oysters usually but he didn’t even touch his 2nd one after almost throwing up the first one. He said it was really gross. Not fresh at all and he was sure these oysters have been hanging around for a few days already. They were also not served on ice. He also left one roll on his plate almost untouched as that one wasn’t fresh either. Same with my two rolls — not fresh. I didn’t finish my 2nd roll as it was too greasy. It took really long to get our orders in, they almost served us the wrong rolls and it took long for us to get our actually ordered rolls. :(When I asked for more ginger to have at least a little bit of freshness in my rolls it took her forever to bring that along and when I reminded her of it she realized she had forgotten about it. I think she was trying really hard but she was the only server for our area so I do feel bad for her. The water was served without ice and the beer my husband ordered was not chilled either. I feel like the fact that they offer all you can eat doesn’t make them focus on quality really but rather on quantity only. Not sure how this place gets all these good reviews… Maybe in Camarillo this is the best place they have? Try Sumo(or the Sushi place in Victoria Village) in Ventura and come back here and you will know what I mean. We left the place pretty disappointed and the food lay very heavily in our stomachs. It’s a shame to have paid 50 bucks for that.

Favorite sushi spot ever! I drive from Oxnard just for this place. It’s so fresh and the customer service is awesome. I forgot the name of the waitress who is usually there when I come, but she always has a smile on her face and it’s always so polite and kind. I used to go a lot when I was working near by. We always let them know we were on a lunch break and they would always be so quick and more than happy to comply with our time crunch. Moreover the food is great! So fresh, so good! I was hesitant to try it because I though we would have to sacrifice quality for quantity(this place is all you can eat) but you really don’t! $ 50 + tip for two people for all the sushi rolls and appetizers you can eat which is usually a lot lol! Definitely recommend if you’re hungry and want sushi. The waiting time isn’t very long either. $ 19.99 for lunch(before 2:30pm) and $ 24.99 for dinner. All you can eat but you can’t take anything home. Still worth it!

Some good rolls, but terrible service. Used to go here a lot but stopped because of the service, but my favorite roll had been the Ultimate Albacore. We only go now if its the only place open and were craving sushi. The same waitress every time. She comes off really friendly but her service isnt good. She has spilled our drinks on us multiple times and treats us like we have no idea what were doing and doesn’t communicate well. She disappears forever even though the place is almost empty, I’ve had the chef had to take our order from our table so he can start it. No matter what hour of the day this occurs, and they will start vacuuming whenever. Its sad to see since I do enjoy the sushi. I also made a reservation for their special dining area for my birthday and I might as well not of because the waitress(same girl) had no clue. Then they proceeded to tell us — after being seated and looking over the menu about to order — if some of us werent going to get«all you can eat» we had to move tables. Even though no one was in the restaurant. I told them no one notified me of this on the phone and after 15 minutes she awkwardly finally said we could do it but we couldnt share(which we knew). Honestly almost every experience here is ruined due to service, and the bathrooms are gross. I wish they did better because as I said I do enjoy the sushi.

Great All You Can Eat place! Been a little while since my last review, and it comes with a public service reminder for all Unilocalers. First some story: My company has a monthly team lunch at Fujiya so I’m very familiar with the food and service, however today was my first experience with a «real-life entitled Unilocaler»(there’s even a South Park episode about these people.) He was sitting at the sushi bar and after receiving his order he proceeded to create a huge scene. He claimed to be a bartender which I’m guessing entitled him to a deeper knowledge of the service industry that no one else in the restaurant could possibly understand. He exclaimed that the sushi chefs did not make his dish as he expected(did I say he was a bartender or sushi chef?) and that he was receiving poor service. He continued to make a huge scene and told the staff that he couldn’t wait to get out to the parking lot so he could Unilocal about his experience. A heavily tattooed guy sitting down the bar scoffed and laughed with a buddy about the«Mad Unilocaler’s threat». The Mad Unilocaler must have had a seriously bad day because he replies to the tattooed guy with, «what, do we have a problem now?» as if to pick a fight with him on top of making a scene. Whoa, I did not expect my company luncheon to devolve into a sushi bar brawl, as entertaining as it would have been. The tattooed guy, maintained a jovial demeanor and let the Mad Unilocaler pay his check and leave without incident. So back to my PSA: Customers«should» receive satisfactory food and service, but threatening an establishment with bad Unilocal reviews just makes you look like a douchebag. Not to mention, further discrediting the rest of Unilocal users as over-opinionated and hyper-critical that has become the common trend. Respectfully give constructive feedback, then it’s your choice as a customer whether to come back. Now with that event out of the way, back to my review of Fujiya. «Yay! I’m a fan.» Why? Well, as far as sushi goes in Camarillo, it’s pretty good. The service(particularly Rosa) is friendly, the sushi is tasty and the price is reasonable. There is room for improvement, the sashimi knife-work could be more elegant, the décor feels a bit cluttered. Dry-erase boards and other assorted items adorn the walls, corners and room-divider. It’s not bad, it just feels more«home-like» than a fancy restaurant. If you are walking into Fujiya expecting an experience like dining at Nobu, or Sukiyabashi Jiro then you are in the wrong town/country. Fujiya is a great place to get AYCE sushi, enjoy a drink and walk away satisfied.

My mom and I finished shopping at the outlets and were hungry for dinner. I have heard about this AYCE sushi spot before so I finally decided we should check it out. We made it for their dinner prices of $ 24.95 around 9pm. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. Our female server was THEMOSTSWEETEST and GENUINE server I’ve ever met! She had awesome suggestions on what to order and made our dinner very pleasant and fun. There was another male server too and he was just as efficient as our main server. Pros: + A broad range of rolls and sushi to choose from(you can choose rolls on their written board too) + First time trying uni(sea urchin) + Very fast and attentive service with a call button at our table Cons: — My mom and I got sick after we came home :( — A couple of the rolls we tried felt too overwhelming with sauce — The rice was a bit too moist I really wanted to like this place(especially with the friendly customer service) but my bowels have to disagree :(

We come here ALL the time. One of my fave sushi restaurants. All-you-can-eat $ 19.95(lunch). You have to try it out at least once. Always friendly service. Although, today it just got busier than usual so our food took a bit longer to get to us. But it’s ok, it was worth the wait.

Let’s be honest — for someone who likes great atmosphere and beautiful surroundings while she eats, this would never have been somewhere I would have stopped on my own. It’s in a strip mall, with no curb appeal, and the inside is not much better sadly. However, this is easily some of the best sushi I have ever had. I went with my best friend after we had gone on a hike and we were starving — which was good news, because their AYCE option is AMAZING, and truly ENDLESS. We must have ordered 72 rounds — ok, maybe not that many. If I remember correctly it was around $ 24 each, which is more than I normally spend on a lunch, but definitely worth the splurge as I know I didn’t need dinner that day as I had eaten so much. I highly recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll, Cucumber Roll, Avocado Roll and the 911 Roll. I am highly allergic to shellfish, so I have to be careful about my sushi selections, but they were super accommodating in ensuring no shellfish touched my rolls. If you can get past the lack of ambiance, this place is worth a try!

A couple of my friends had been here before so we went here on their recommendation. Upon walking in, it looks like your typical sushi place, with cozy Japanese décor. We get seated at the booth by the waitress and she brings over menus, waters, and edamame on the house. We didn’t go for the AYCE because we weren’t that hungry. The menu is hugely extensive though, with normal rolls at $ 5 and special rolls at $ 9-$ 15. I decide on the«Love and I» roll, which is a no rice roll with soy paper, salmon, crab, cucumber, and spicy tuna. When the waitress picked up our order sheet, she exclaimed about how that was her favorite roll, so I felt validated in my choice. The rolls came in a decent amount of time. They were big and beautifully presented. The«Love and I» roll was one of the best I’ve had in awhile — the tuna was actually spicy and the salmon was fresh. I also tried a piece of my friend’s Jessica roll, which was also pretty good. The only thing about that one is that it’s supposed to be a «sashimi roll,» but there’s only some sashimi on top and its mixed with grapefruit, which is interesting but some might dislike. Overall, the waitress was very nice and the sushi was good. I paid $ 18 after tip, which is about what I typically pay for sushi in Camarillo.

On one fine Sunday evening my man friend said«hey, I know the perfect sushi place I want to take you… it’s all you can eat.» I was more than skeptical. Like got super pale & was very hesitant skeptical. Despite my response, I said I’d try it and when I did, I was very pleasantly surprised. It is all you can eat, but not how you’d think. It is made to order sushi & you order as much as you want, up to three rounds. Of course there are rules such as, you must eat all your rice & don’t share with others. Fujiya has become one if my fave local sushi places. I love most of the sushi chefs, sometimes we even fist bump… We eat there a minimum of once a week(usually 2 – 3 times). The staff is great as is the food. The place is a little funky but that gives it more charm. I definitely suggest trying it!

This little spot will always be one of my favorites for AYCE sushi ! It’s just so reasonably priced for lunch and the staff is generally always really helpful and friendly. This is the kind of place you want to come to when your beyond starving and sushis on your mind. You basically have three«rounds» to order as much sushi as you can eat, make sure your eyes aren’t bigger then your stomach because whatever you don’t finish you could end up paying for. Most AYCE sushi places are barley just good enough due to the large portions for a small price but here the sushi is A+, it’s the kind of place you’d still come to even if it wasn’t all you can eat simply because some of the rolls are really just that good. The two things you’ve got to try if your stoping by would be 1. The oyster shoots for the 21+ crowd, they are so freakin bomb! I won’t say anymore about it just go try it! 2. Eagle eye!!! It’s salmon wrapped around crab & avocado with chili oil across the top, need I say more?
