Coco’s Family Restaurant

I came in today and it was fairly busy. I was worried about getting seated but the manager, Robin, seated us right away. She was super friendly and told us about the burger and free pie special that they’ve been having. I ordered the prime rib burger and I highly recommend it. For my free pie, I had a fresh strawberry pie. Their special gives an amazing price of just 11.99and it’s really hard to find prices like that in the area. Props to Robin for being such a hands on manager and also to the cooks who made the prime rib burger.

I was very disappointed after at least 10 years visiting this restaurant!
I ordered New York steak and I asked to have that medium cooked and it came well done!
The country potato was horrible!
I was so mad and I paid for the food that I didn’t eat and forgot to take my orange juice!
I should have looked at the parking lot before I enter this facility!
There was used diper, condom, empty bottle, paper and many other thing you could see in this parking lot, VERY DIRTY!
If they don’t take care of their own parking lot, just imagine how they handle the food in the back!

My husband and I just moved to the area. We saw this place and decided to try breakfast. Standard eggs, bacon, pancakes & biscuit. I was very happy about the breakfast. It was hot & delicious. The biscuits were fluffy & served with honey !!! Today we decided to try dinner. My husband had a smoked Gouda & mushroom burger. I had a chicken fried steak with mash potatoes, gravy & veggies. The chicken fried steak was 2 big pieces !! Gravy was peppery & delicious. Mash potatoes. Yummm… Didn’t love the veggies… The server, Eileen was a sweetheart. We did get a coconut cream pie for later. I know I will be back to this delicious place.

Food was great. There was only one waitress on duty; she was nice but a little awkward to talk to. Their card reader was down and we got lucky we had some cash on us. I’d go back, but I’m not expecting everything to go correctly.

Poor management. Not enough help. Very slow service. The food is pretty good, pies are good. I will limit my visits to take out pie.

we stopped for a late lunch/​early dinner and was surprised to see how empty the restaurant was at 3pm on a tuesday.
i ordered the turkey, avocado, jack croissant and hubby had the french dip.
my sandwich was delicious and the accompanying fruit fresh and tasty. hubby’s french dip was very good.
we were most impressed with eileen. she sat us, took our order, served our meal, took care of our check. as we sat eating we watched as she cleared tables, cleaned tables, and did it all. she was totally attentive and friendly, not only with us but with all the patrons.
overall, we were impressed with the food and the service provided by eileen.

Much better service and experience hope they keep it up always looking to improve. Had the bacon today and a piece of pie.

This restaurant is fatally under-​staffed the direct result of which is a dining experience that could be far better. If you do go to the E. Hamilton location, insist on being seated at one of Binh’s tables — he is excellent.
Food and prices — just like every other Coco’s.

This Coco’s is one of my favorite and regular places to go. They’re open late, the food is good (always made to order), and the service is the best. I usually go with my best friend, and we always make sure to ask for Carolyn or Roxanne whenever we’re there because they’re amazing!

I love going to Coco’s good food and great atmosphere, I will keep coming back thanks to my awesome server Carolyn!
She has been my server for several months now and I absolutely love her personality and laugh. She is one of the best servers and I request her everytime. I cant wait to go back and Yes I will be looking for Carolyn.

I honestly can’t even begin to explain how much I adore this restaurant. Usually when going to late night restaurants you can’t expect the most, but this place goes beyond expectations and more. The food is soooo good.
I would like to address the complaint about the «loud group for 4» who came in the other night. My friends and me, regulars at cocos, decided we wanted to have a chill Friday night and go to cocos and also get to see our favorite waitresses, Elizabeth and Carolyn. Those two are some of the nicest, friendliest waitresses I’ve ever met and they really know how to treat their customers well with respect and a positive attitude. I would first like to clarify Carolyn was in fact NOT mocking me or my «screeching annoying as hell laugh» (thank you, by the way, real nice). Carolyn has an infectious laughter and regardless of whether I am laughing or not she is always happy and perky, laughing, bringing an element of liveliness and good spirit to the restaurant. Also, I would like to point out, both waitresses were in fact NOT there for 30 minutes with us. Yes they came back frequently from time to time to check on us and chit chat, as any waiter/​waitress should treat their regulars at any restaurant — but no where near half an hour !? As for filling up water… HELLO! WE ARE IN A DROUGHT! So many restaurants in CA are following protocol to not fill up peoples’ water unless they specifically ask for it, so no need to hate on cocos. And just for the record, every time I would ask Elizabeth /​Carolyn to fill up my water, they always did right away and they do too for any other customer so I don’t know what’s up with that comment. I admit we weren’t the quietest bunch there, but what else can you expect at 2am on a Friday night? People are going to have fun and have a good time. Also, if you have a problem, just ask the waitresses to please tell us to quiet down and we would have rather than writing an inaccurate shitty review based off of one night.
From my experiences at cocos, when I observe other people they seem to really be enjoying their time and having a nice meal with their family /​friends. People always enter the restaurant happily and leave even more satisfied. Carolyn is one of the most charismatic people/​waitresses who will make you feel welcomed in the restaurant and is always extremely pro active and strutting all over the place to get people their food etc as fast as possible. Elizabeth is friendly, treats customers with respect and does an impeccable job at being manager.

Only 2 servers working, we had Elizabeth and she was great with us. UNTIL this extremely loud group of 4 came in. Then both servers were hanging out at their table for about 30mins. On knees in booths next to theirs hanging over the backs. Laughing with a screeching annoying as hell laugh. Carolyn (other server) was mocking that laugh as loud as she could as she walked back to the kitchen. The only times those servers left that group was to get food for 2 other tables. They never came back to check on any of the tables. Wouldn’t even look back at other tables. They all were so loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves. That is what prompted me to take the picture. I had to ask our server to come over to us. I told her how rude they were, how loud they were and how other tables didn’t look happy either. She just said I’m sorry if it bothered you, but we talk to everyone. I said you obviously don’t care whether you have this job because it isn’t about bothering me, it is how it looks to other customers and on top of that, both of you have not even checked on any other tables. My daughters water (which is all she had) was empty. Never got refilled even after telling Elizabeth. I then said I was going to call the managers tomorrow, asked for their names, she said their are many of them, ok give me their names. She just didn’t get the point. And was shrugging her shoulders and just kept saying well, I apologize if that bothered you. OMG! I was flabbergasted, my daughter just got up and walked out, she couldn’t stay to hear one more word. I told Elizabeth, she just didn’t get it, I was trying to help her by telling her what it looks like for the rest of customers. Apparently she believes that is her job to hang over booths for 30 or more mins talking and laughing ignoring the rest of the place. Unreal!

I live this place, I haven’t been to Cocos in years and I regret it… I would recommend their wonderful cinnamon rolls French toast! So good. The service is ok… there has been more then one occasion where I have to get the waitress is attention. But other then that it’s a great family place to

My friend and I were real night owls during the summer and decided to go out at midnight. Not much is open of course and we weren’t feeling like Denny’s. She suggested Coco’s because she was craving pie.
I guess you can’t expect much out of the service and food during this hour, but I was definitely put off by both during my one and only experience here. I decided to order their spaghetti and meat sauce… what a bad baaad decision I made. The sauce was weird and definitely taste like it came from a jar and was just reheated. It was SO salty, I took two bites and didn’t bother with it again. The only good part was the garlic bread that came on the side. I also got a piece of their chocolate pie. Basically it was chocolate pudding on a store bought crust with canned whipped cream on top. My friend’s banana pie was decent. Didn’t really taste fresh though. Her strawberry pie tasted like it was frozen and defrosted.
For a place that is suppose to have the best pies around, this place was a HUGE disappointed. Don’t imagine I will be coming back…

I enjoyed my visit at Coco’s. Walked in and the hostess was so pleasant and prompt. Had an excellent waitress and I really enjoyed the prime rib dinner. I really am pleased with the service I was given. I recommend this restaurant and the food was very affordable.

The food was great, the service however left something to be desired. Our waitress seemed inconvenienced by our presence and our need for service so the few times she came to check on us we almost didn’t want to ask for anything. I am however a believer in second chances so I am likely to come back one more time for another try.

I came here for a family dinner with my mom and sons it wasn’t really crowded but it seemed to take some time to get our drink orders in. Then finally we got our drink orders and since it took some time we ordered our meals along with the drinks. At that time we also asked for some warm bread like they usually automatically provide before your dinner. We the meals arrived and all of our came my mom’s order which was chicken fried steak and mixed veggies also rice pilaf well her order came wrong so they took it back and 5 min later her meal arrived still no bread so we asked again. We were all done eating except my mom she was waiting on some bread. We asked another server finally when she was almost done they brought the bread. The service is aweful and it wasn’t that busy where the service had to be that bad.

Same as last time the only reason I’m leaving four stars is because of our server.

We sat ourselves at a dirty table because LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE table was dirty. Four occupied the rest dirty.
Our server was serving everyone at the same time.
Despite no one helping her, she was fast, efficient, friendly & thoughtful.
I got the panzanella Tuscan salad. Its was kinda dry.
My bf the turkey avocado croissant sandwich & fries.
The sanwich reminded me of the free food I used to eat in high school. Sloppy, cold & extremely stingy.
Only had like one slice of avocado. Bread was very cold & dry. Turkey tasted like the fridge.
I think this will be my last time here for a while until they hire new management!!!

Despite my low rating of this place we go here fairly often due to its late night hours and decent food.
Some dishes are pretty good diner food. The salmon dishes are tasty. The baked potatoes are well done and come with butter and sour cream. The coffee is actually amongst my favorites!
What docks this place is that the staff always seems to be a skeleton crew and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a dish as I ordered it. Don’t be deceived by anything on the menu that comes with «chargrilled vegetables,» even if you request them. They are always substituted with bland and gross tasting steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot mix that can’t be redeemed even by salt and pepper.
If you’re getting pie try the banana crème! Chocolate cream tasted like powdered baking chocolate to us.

Alright so I went again this week and I think it’s as simple as my friend who I came with said «the price is right but they sure are slow». It took over 50 minutes to get my food. It was tasty but the wait is just insane. My water never once got refilled in the waiting time and it took 15 minutes to get my water.
Edit: okay so there is something that’s good in this. I didn’t have to pay. Our order came and he messed up both of our orders and didn’t even get the pie I ordered. I talked to a manager and he played for the meal and apologized. I’ve had okay experiences here but this was the worse
