Toung Mai at Optimal Health is amazing. Very relaxed in informative about my overall health health goals.
I really appreciate how he helps me understand the importance and function of my back.
The need to set goals for health over the next 30 years and that the absence of pain does not mean I am in good health.
I use and highly recommend him to my family and friends.

I came to Pedreiro for headaches. Before I started treatment, I had his office personnel verify my insurance coverage as I was a working student and could not afford treatment without insurance help. They gave me confirmation via documents and voicemails that I was, in fact, covered.
FOUR months later, Pedreiro tells me he hasn’t received payments from my insurance and that he called them back and they said I did not exist in the system. I called my insurance a number of times and they could not explain what happened, nor did they have any records of Dr. Pedreiro inquiring about it either.
All in all, Pedreiro’s office sent me an invoice to pay up after I told them I was doing all I can to get this taken care of by the insurance. I ended up writing him a check and a letter pretty much saying that this situation has been mishandled by his office. No one there ever took responsibility for giving me the wrong information and had I known I wasn’t covered earlier, I would have not gotten treatment as I could not afford it WHICH IS WHAT I TOLD THEM FROM THE GET-​GO. He took no time cashing my check and never replied to my letter!
In terms of treatment, I kept going because it was inexpensive due to my so-​called «coverage». The treatments were about 2 min and some traction which require no effort on his part. Poor quality to say the least and whaddayaknow, still got those headaches!
In my experience, he cares very little about his patients’ actual well being and more about his profit.
This is also the second bad review about an insurance issue with his office. STAY AWAY!

Dr. James is the best sports medicine doctor I’ve ever been too. I’ve had several different types of sports related injuries in the last few years and Dr. James’ office is always the first place I go to get an accurate assessment of what is going on and help me safely and properly recover. Him and his staff are always super pleasant and ready to help you. I definitely recommend his office for any type of injuries.

Regarding insurance and rate:
Shameful, I tell ya! After several months of massages here (which the guy is still great), ALL OF A SUDDEN, they decided they no longer accept the rate that my insurance usually pays for the massage. When they decided to flip the switch on me without notification, they tried lying about my insurance company not paying their «submitted» claims (when they did not really submitted the claims, they just didn’t want that rate the insurance was paying ANYMORE). They tried telling me I had to pay cash rate for the last two massages at a rate I did not consent to. I then called my insurance and even my insurance guy advised me to go elsewhere because they were not honest with their business (indirectly telling me that). I was not going to pay a rate I did not agree to because all of a sudden they decided they wanted to charge me more (they are in network). I understand that the rate that my insurance was paying at was low, but don’t be okay with it for awhile then all of a sudden tells me to pay cash rate without telling me before the two sessions and then LIE about trying to submit the two sessions already to my insurance, but my insurance not responding. Luckily, I called my insurance to clarify! Who does that?! Could’ve been honest and I would’ve been okay with it. Shame, I really like that place too.
Well, now I’m never coming back .
P. S. The chiropractor is pretty cool though, I like him. But I prefer my previous chiropractor (Cali Ha– Unilocal her) since she spent a lot more time with me.

Dr. Pedreiro and his team are awesome. Recuperating from two surgeries and an auto accident, my body was literally out of whack. I’ve been a patient of theirs for the past two years and they have provided great support throughout my slow recovery. Thanks!!!

I love this office everyone is very kind and does a wonderful job. The receptionist Evon is always kind and works very hard. Dr. Pedreiro is wonderful, very kind and great at what he does! My neck improved on my first session and continues to do so. I also got a massage from Uziel and he is amazing! I found my new massage therapist. Wonderful office and staff.

Dr Pedreiro is one of the kindest and gentlest Drs I have ever met. He is really helpful and considerate. I feel completely at ease with him.

Dr. James has helped me with maintaining a healthy spine over the last year. I searched out a local Chiropractor in Campbell for treatment of back and neck pain that causes me to suffer from Migraines. With his help I’ve been able to stay away from pain medications and it’s also helped my range of motion and ability to exercise.

Dr. Pedreiro is great Chiropractor and I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking treatment. He’s also very accommodating on last minute appointment requests.

Haven’t been here in a while but I defiantly remember the awesome way I felt after I left an appointment here. Which is why I’m going to start going again! I highly recommend this chiropractor. Very kind and helpful staff.

I have been going to Dr. James for my various neck/​back issues for 3+ years. He is very knowledgeable and most importantly, he is magical at removing pain! Walk in with a back/​neck that can’t move without tearing up & walk out 90% better! What more can you ask for?
Working on a computer all day, I have really sore, painful shoulders & my neck gets stiff constantly. One adjustment & I am good to go. The best thing I like about his practice is that they DON’T badger you into visiting them constantly. Previously I had been to two other chiropractors who kept emailing/​calling me to come in.
When I need it & I am in severe pain I visit him 2 – 3 times a week & once I am better, I go in only about once a month — if that!
Highly recommended.

I have chronic back pain that never goes away completely so I go to Dr. Pedreiro to have my back regularly adjusted. He does an efficient job of relieving my locked up joints. I have gone to Dr. Pedreiro for several years and find him to be an excellent doctor who is current with all best practices. In addition to this, he is great listener, open minded and very approachable. You can’t go wrong if you give him a try.

Dr. Pedreiro is a fantastic adjuster! Highly recommend!!!
