Waaaaaaay overrated and service was horrible. I was in the area and wanted to give this place a whirl, needless to day, I will not be back. They nickel and dime you for everything. I figured I would get the standard tiki Marsala and with bread. When the order showed, it was as small bowl and a single pice of bread! I ate and after 20 minutes, the server finally took the time to ask if I needed anything. Yes I did, someone to tell me how this place was in business. When I got the bill is was $ 25. I saw that they charged me twice for 2 pieces of bread and the rest was for the tiny entrée. Needless to say, not the best the Valley has to offer.

Came here on a weekday afternoon for the lunch buffet special. It was alright. The service was nice. Lets just say my water glass was never empty. The variety of food is pretty nice for small scale restaurant. The chicken dishes are not that great but the vegetarian dishes were cooked nicely. The rice were well cooked. I would not recommend the samosas as they felt like they were a day or two old =T

GONE! NOMORE! I took my family here for lunch and there were banners hanging over the name of the restaurant. The place changed hands! Still an Indian restaurant but no longer India Palace. SOSADDENED… So we went to another Indian buffet a bit east from here and it was okay. .. I will miss India Palace and the lady that was always so good to us. Well, I will have to try this«new» place once they get settled in.

I’ve had great experiences here. It’s usually a ghost town though, much like someone else had said. That kind of makes me nervous. A lot of what kept me coming back was that it was decent food, although not mind-blowing, but the service was great. They were really nice and always anxious to get us coming back with coupons and stuff. However, that’s the problem: they were anxious to get people back. If the food doesn’t bring people back… that’s a problem. Kinda pricey for what you get… buffet is decent.

Under new management. They had quite a make over. Looks new inside. No more buffet for dinner(only lunch.) I went with my friend for dinner. He ordered the chicken tandori which came in a sizzling plate. It looked delicious. I’m vegan so I ordered the vegetable curry. It was ok but small servings. Waiter was a bit slow but sounded friendly. Oh, btw, dinner was expensive(i mean, per person, it’s way over $ 10 buck with drinks and tip.)

I came here on a Saturday night around 6pm and it was a ghost town inside. My friend and I were the only people there. There was no buffet set up which I found weird. Overall the food we ordered tasted pretty bland, was not spicy, and I’ve had better.

Unless you are hungry, you will not find anything that looks or tastes good at this place. The setup is OK and the staff are friendly however the food is far from tasty Indian cuisine.

An offer to eat all the Indian food you can sounds like a bad idea, but India Palace makes everything worth it. For the price and quality, it’s one of the better Indian lunch buffets you’ll find in the valley. The lunch buffet was one of the simplest eating experiences I’ve had in a while. You walk in and they ask you what kind of naan you want(get the garlic!). You can choose to get settled at a table or go straight to the buffet and get what you want. My one complaint with the buffet is that they don’t list what’s on the menu. Consider me ignorant, but in all the years I’ve enjoyed Indian food, I’ve never really taken the time to really learn what everything is. If it’s got chicken/lamb in a curry like sauce with some rice, I’m happy. So for someone who isn’t up on their Indian cuisine, the buffet can be a bit of an adventure. In my case, the buffet turned up some wonderful choices and proved the saying that«ignorance is bliss.» There are both vegetarian and non vegetarian choices and are clearly labeled for those who are meat conscious. They are simple offerings so don’t expect nothing too extravagant. However, the taste of everything is anything but simple. I prefer something a little north of mild and that’s exactly how most things were prepared. I wish I were able to go back to the buffet a few more times but after two plates I was done. I guess that just means I’ll have to go back another day.

Indian buffet is my favorite meal; India Palace has the best Indian buffet in the Valley. Ergo, India Palace is my favorite Valley restaurant. Now, the buffet. The buffet! For $ 6.99, you get all the Indian food you can possibly eat, including a selection of traditional desserts and either plain or garlic naan.(Obviously, go for the garlic naan. Plain is good, but… go for the garlic. I’ll say«you’re welcome» now for when you thank me later.) ONLY $ 6.99! And that’s not even the best part. The buffet itself is partitioned into two sections, one side marked«Vegetarian,» the other, «Non-Vegetarian.» This mayn’t seem like a big deal to some, but it’s sometimes hard to tell what has meat in it and what does not when everything is covered in delicious sauces and curries and… oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Anyway. Yes. Vegetarian versus non-negetarian. Very, very helpful. But WAIT! There’s more! The food is pretty much exceptionally perfect every time, which is to say that it is saucy and full of paneer. Cups are refilled with startling frequency. Five stars.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Their buffet selection is huge and not lacking in quality. It even includes a selection of deserts!

We went there last year while visiting Los Angeles, that time we felt that the food & service are just great so went to this place again this year while coming back to bay area. We were so hungry and do not want to experiment much at other unknown places for food, which we have been doing for the prior 2 – 3 days. So we particularly changed our route to 101 instead of taking I-5 to have good food here on the way. We took lunch buffet. We made sure that we take some naans with vegetables, and finish the lunch with some fruits. It was about 2:45pm when we reached there. There are few other customers still having their lunch. They gave us some Naans and while we were eating the waiter asked us to grab all the food that we need for our lunch to our table as they are closing the buffet as it is 3:00pm. Ah… So far I haven’t experienced something like this at a restaurant. We could have finished our lunch in about 5 – 10 min anyway. I was pretty disappointed. There is another waiter, who did not forgot to bring us the tea we ordered after our lunch. Guess will goto the place again, but next time I will try to avoid the other waiter.

They have my favorite indian bread, puri. I’m sold. I love Chicken Korma and while it wasn’t served with all the frill of fried onions and almonds… it was quite tasty! Pricing is good. Great indian hot tea… just like I like it with the right amount of cream. Yummm yum! Easy seating at lunchtime. Offer a lunch buffet everyday for just $ 7.50 per person. Parking might be a challenge at times, we found a spot on the street in front. The food on the buffet looked fresh. The dessert I had which is usually a doughnut that is then soaked in syrup, Gulab Jamum was very fresh and the syrup was not too sweet. Very pleased with the food and the offerings. Good pricing and nothing cost more than $ 15.95 and that was for tandoori shrimp. You will find chicken, fish, lamb, shrimp and vegetarian offerings. For those who love lassi, they’ve got it and two kinds at that. They also offer their facility as a party hall with a capacity of 150 people. AND, they cater too. Try their Sunday champagne brunch offering 35 – 40 entrees for $ 10.95 per person, though no take out is available for the brunch. Children under eight pay just $ 4.95. You’ve got options.

Like many Indian restaurants, this restaurant has simply taken the place of a previous Indian restaurant. This place has been around for some 3 years, and as is typical of Indian restaurants is family run. So, the food… Inconsistent. Actually this is the operative word. Were it not for their inconsistency, I’d rate it 4 stars. A relative has been the main cook for the past couple years, and at least from my experience, doesn’t do well with requests for«spicey.» He tends to resort to chilli sauce(a mortal sin for me). However, the rest of the repertoire is good if not remarkable. The rice is not of great quality(it’s not Kohinoor), but the naan is always good. Service is attentive, and the owner and his wife are friendly. They’re good for lunch, with no long wait time… and the prices are on average some $ 2 – 3 cheaper than many Indian restaurants in the valley and L.A. area. So, while I may bicker over some of the finer points of Indian cuisine, the food here CAN be spot on, and considering it’s price and decent service, I’d recommend it. It’s certainly better than fast food or a typical coffee shop.

I was recommended this by a friend, but I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. Old mint chutney. Soggy naan. Tasteless curries. I’m not sure why this place is well-regarded. Perhaps if it was a great deal, which it is NOT.

About $ 8 for lunch will cover food and tip. Samosas, chicken tikka masala, palaak paneer, naan, carrot pudding, milk balls. Mmm… More later when I have more time!
