Kuppa Coffee

Place is actually called ‘Karma Coffee.’
Very nice place. Independently owned, with a good variety of sandwiches, dessert,
drinks, and local artwork on the walls. Good hours, too.

Kuppa Coffee is located behind Rooster’s on Dressler. It’s changed names a few times, so here’s the progression: Arabica/​Nervous Dog/​Kuppa Coffee.
I was pretty excited when they made the transition from Arabica to ND based on the fact that it’s one of the best Akron coffee joints. That excitement fizzled a bit when it quickly changed to the current «Kuppa Coffee».
They do offer a small variety of their own roasted beans as well as small sandwiches. I have picked up some beans on a few occasions and it seemed like they were always out of the style I would have chosen. I also felt the consistency of the roast wasn’t always spot on. I’ve since started buying my supply else where, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in here to enjoy a cup and to meet up with some friends. There are a lot of tables in this place and it’s never been overly busy so you’re almost guaranteed a quiet spot.
