Avoid these videos. They don’t work reliably. And they don’t give refunds, but just credits. We got duds 2 nights in a row and the same run a round. We have two blue rays and on one of them the 2nd t disk froze; on the other blue ray, it skipped and pixelated. The first evening the disk played only the shorts and then just stalled. Could not even open the blue ray unit without turning it on and off. There is no quality control, and I think they are just renting the same defective movies over and over again. In fact they tell you to get the new one first, and then return the defective one so you won’t accidentally get it again. Ok for you, but not the next customer. And most of the time that next customer is you. They give 2 credits only, but it did not help us. We would have wound up with four credits and no movies. In they end they said they would give us a refund only after I threatened to petition the store to remove the machines entirely. I am sure that reputable stores do not want these hassles.

Yay for Janis for reviewing these! I too am a devotee. None of the hassles of Netflix(who wants to wait for movies only to get one you only kind of wanted to see?), much cheaper than Blockbuster or other permanent stores. This is fast, convenient and everywhere! Do not find what you want at the Kroger Redbox? Go across the street to Meijer or down the road to CVS or Wally! Reservations are also available if you wanna think ahead and actually(gasp) plan it out. I rarely miss out on anything regardless of method. I love it! Cheap, easy, convenient. Never had a single issue with a dvd or a machine. They rock.

You’ve seen them! The kiosks are everywhere! CVS, Wal-Mart, Meier’s, Kroger’s. Some are inside locations, some are outside locations I love the concept. And would like to personally thank the person that came up with the idea. You can make the reservation online and pickup the movies from a particular location. But, here’s what I really like, the movies can be returned to any location. A different city, even a different state. The $ 1.20 per movie rental fee is for a period of twenty-four hours. If you donot return on time there is an additional fee charged. I have always received an email acknowledgement of my rentals and returns. You can also speak with a live person 24/7, including holidays by calling the customer service line. Check it out!
