Super friendly staff, they are like little rays of sunshine. Coffee, teas and other beverages have consistently tasty. Prices are more than reasonable. I appreciate the variety of sugar free flavorings in here, they make so many drink options for a diabetic possible. The Novus tea pyramids work too, they are fresh tasting for a *bagged* tea and they add the proper temperature of water to the cup for a good brew. I know it sounds like a no brainer but far too many other places get it wrong. Try it out! They deserve a shot at earning your business. You won’t spend much but you will get a nice drink and warm fuzzies.

I am still a regular at the wonderful Shyre Coffeehouse. Everyone is just always so friendly and the drinks are always 100 times better than the chains. It’s still always family operated and the owner is usually there. It’s great going to the Shyre Coffeehouse. The Drinks here are still a lot cheaper than Starbucks or Bigby. For the past few days I have had the Iced Coffee with Carmel in it :) so good. The other drink I have been loving has been the latte w/Carmel. I would put the Carmel latte in with my favorite drinks from the Shyre. My favorites consist of: The Latte w/Carmel, The Iced Coffee with Carmel, Frozen Hot Chocolate and the regular coffee is excellent as well. The baked goods they feature there are yummy also. If you have not been to the Shyre, I can’t tell you how much you are missing out.

This place still seems to be just getting started but they are a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Great prices — you can get a latte for almost half the cost of the national chains. Teenagers are welcome to hang out there in the evening — I hope they are actually spending money. The décor is getting more comfortable. When you stop in and relax, it is easy to forget you are in a strip mall.

I loved this little place! It’s definitely still getting on its feet, but it still has a lot to offer. The coffee and seating were decent, but not spectacular. What really sold me were the shelves of lightly-used books. The owner’s policy is you can take a book home with you if you want, and if it makes it back to the store, great, but it’s not required. She had some great stuff too! Not just the typical romance paperbacks you usually find. They were really hard to find, though. They didn’t have a sign on the street yet and their location on Unilocal was wrong(it’s fixed now). They’re nestled back in the corner of a strip mall that makes an L shape around a pharmacy, so they’re not visible from the street. They plan on getting a street sign soon, which will help a lot. Anyway, I will be back to this place– I love that the owner is pursuing a dream and going out on a limb. Hurray for an independent coffee shop in Canton!

The newly opened Shyre coffeehouse offers a comfortable and cozy setting, with an extremely reasonably priced coffee, tea and beverage menu. The prices are totally affordable and won’t break your wallet. The Shyre is refreshingly down to earth, tastefully decorated without being pretentious, and plush couches and chairs make it perfect for chillaxing, chatting or reading. By the front door, the Shyre has two high-top shelves loaded with hardcover books, so if you happen to get there and decide to stay, you can always grab a book and while some time away. The shelves double as counters but there aren’t any high-back chairs yet(would be a nice addition), so maybe the owner is planning on adding some once traffic starts circulating more heavily to the shop. The coffee/tea mix-ins buffet is an elegant classic piece of furniture that has been repurposed and really works beautifully in the overall décor. The Shyre also has a few outside bistro-style tables if you want the mini patio experience as well. Daily pastries are an assortment of items like sticky pecan buns, a delicious shortbread cookie or scones for only $ 1.50 – nothing that will set you back so far you wouldn’t consider it. The owner says she occasionally features cupcakes too. There is a TV on the wall and there is also wi-fi access, so it’s a good place for a small meeting. How great to have an independently owned coffee shop in the area, with good parking available too!
