Went for dinner at around 8PM. Menu looked big, so I was not sure what to order. Chose the crab cakes. 3 that are baked and full of Lump Crab. They were amazing. Great sauce as well!

I was here in May 2016 and we really enjoyed it. I had the crispy seafood ceasar salad and it was excellent. The calamari on the salad was crispy on the outside and tender inside, not chewy. The keylime pie was a bit sweet but I still enjoyed it. I thought the food presentation was beautiful and the atmosphere was fun with live music and artsy décor. Staff was friendly, they greeted us quickly. I’m taking a star for parking which was very tight, but there is probably nothing they can do about that, there just isn’t much space.

The key lime pie was absolutely delicious. I went with two of my friends and we loved it so much we ordered another after we finished our first. The food for dinner, however, was average. The fried shrimp were ok, and the crab egg roll was definitely not good.

I’m leaving one star because there isn’t a ZERO stars button. Sat down and wasn’t acknowledged for 20 minutes; mentioned to the hostess that no one has come by and she disappeared. We are the most patient people in the world but for the staff to walk by and purposely avert their eyes — so so disappointing. Wanted to go for breakfast but we WILLNOT.

Our best meal on the island so far! We have tried several of the other«spots» and none were bad, but this was our favorite! GREAT food, tons of selections, amazing atmosphere, live music, awesome drink selections and wine list! Martinis were good! Blackened tuna… wow! Key lime pie perfect and not the sherbet type made at most places around here!

Was only here for drinks and dessert. The Key lime pie was awesome and the server was very helpful, too. The dinner menu seemed a bit pricy but def would recommend for the key lime pie and their specialty key lime margarita.

Come here a few days ago for a quick drink and lunch. I got the grouper sandwich which was fantastic and the drink was very good as well. We sat on the patio where they had live music which was really relaxing! The staff was pleasant and the food was quick. I will definitely return the next time I am vacationing on the island.

Ate lunch here and the staff was very friendly. The nachos were not very good but the grouper sandwich was great. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a local island grill.

We had been here before and always enjoyed it, but this last trip the food seems to have slipped. Add in the fly infested patio and an awful entertainer and …3 stars. 2 mediocre meals and a bottled water for $ 100 was ridiculous… the only saving grace is the homemade ice cream across the street. I will give them anothetr shot next time we are out and thats the last chance they get.

Been here twice — once in Jan and now in April. Pros: Large portions, great live music. during off season food was great. FANTASTICKEYLIMEPIE! Worth a quick stop just for that. Cons: Hostess unfriendly, during the busy season at prime time for dinner very loud and slow service. All in all a good experience and would return.

Came for a late lunch. Food was quick(had the Italian sausage. It was alright) and a key west sunset ale to wash it down as the man plays freestyle guitar over elevator music. Service/food was good, atmosphere was great!

We go here for lunch after we leave the beach on our last day of vacation. We have been coming here for 10 years, the hostess staff is not very friendly. But the key lime pie is amazing ! We all have salads, kid meals and margaritas, the key lime margarita is ok, I think I will stick with the regular margarita. My only complaint is that they don’t take reservations for lunch, when you have kids it’s hard to wait for a long time.

Very nice place to eat or stop for a drink. Lovely patio, full bar. The best part is that they have very fresh and well prepared food. Fresh fruit, salads, fish. Often has music. If you like keylime pie then give it a try. Lots of selections on the menu. Cute inside but the patio is my favorite. Doesn’t get as crowded as the Mucky Duck restaurant down the street.

This is hands down the best key lime pie I have ever had, including in Key West! I have to add, my mother, who is extremely critical of key lime pie, agrees that this is just phenomenal! The key lime is award-winning, as our live entertainer pointed out, and The presentation is beautiful– the pie is topped with decadent whipped cream floating in a pool of strawberry and key lime anglaise. The crust is infused with sugar and is to die for! It’s so rich so I highly recommend splitting one slice amongst two people. The bistro is located in the heart of Captiva right next to a very cute B and B. Parking is across the street for free but multiple businesses share the lot, just FYI. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served here, with breakfast being available until 2pm. Live entertainment is daily on the patio– we had the pleasure of enjoying a great reggae artist covering jazz favorites such as Diana Krall. Definitely try to enjoy the outdoor seating, even if you have to wait a little bit. On another note, bathrooms are single stall so plan accordingly. They have a decent selection of bottled and draft beers. Most are $ 4.95 with some being slightly cheaper. I had a great Full Sails IPA that complimented my lunch nicely; I only wish it had been on draft and not bottle only. Four members of my party, myself included, ordered the blackened grouper sandwich which was served on ciabatta with a side of key lime aioli, a pickle, tropical slaw, and fresh fruit. Lettuce, tomato, and onion also came on the side. WOW!!! That grouper was amazing and I could have, quite literally, drank the key lime aioli if I hadn’t used it all on the sandwich. Bread was perfectly toasted and crisp too. The fish to bread ratio was outstanding! Even the fresh tomato was succulently sweet. The fresh fruit was merely a slice of pineapple and cantaloupe but it was very fresh and the perfect palate cleanser post-meal. The slaw had pineapple mixed in and, although mayo based, it was extremely lightly dressed so it felt quite refreshing when paired with the grouper. The odd man out in our group had an MTO omelette, which came with bacon, fresh fruit, and sweet potato home fries. He highly enjoyed his late breakfast. Service was friendly albeit slightly slow but our food same quickly so there were no complaints. After your meal, take a walk down to the beach and enjoy! Again, don’t forget to partake in the key lime pie– it’s phenomenal and you’re welcome!

We were here for the first time 2 years ago on vacation and it was so good… I had the seafood bistro then and ordered the same thing today. It’s so delicious, and even though it’s served warm and you might sweat on an 80+ degree day, it’s so worth it. The flavor is great, perfect amount of garlic, butter and lime. It has a variety of seafood such as shrimp, calamari, scallops, mussels, and clams. The broth is so good, use the rolls that come with to soak it up and enjoy! My wife got huevos rancheros and was not impressed. It was just scrambled eggs with melted cheese on top of a few crunchy corn chips. I tried it and thought the flavor was okay, but it just wasn’t what the wifey had in mind. The other memorable dish from last time was the key lime pie. Expensive at $ 8 a slice so we plan on buying a whole pie for $ 32, which is still a lot, but that way we can bring it to the house and share the yum with family and friends.

Wow what a great day to be outside having breakfast. Service was prompt and cheerful. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict. Hollandaise sauce was perfect, eggs just the right amount of runny once I cut into them. Served with fresh fruit. Shrimp bloody mary was loaded with goodies. Serving size was great for the price. Not a lot of spice, to be fair I like it HOT. My husband had the standard fair scrambled, double bacon and toast. Toast was extra cooked too bit that’s how it goes sometimes. Very pleasant meal overall. Neat place. I’m sure the atmosphere is gunner when more people are there.

We’re staying on Captiva for a family vacation, right down Andy Rosse from Keylime Bistro. Therefore, location and the decent Unilocal rating brought us into the bistro during our stay. Service was prompt and met expectation. Our waitress provided us recommendations on drinks, food, specials, and dessert. Regarding the food: as per what you’d expect from an island dive. The menu was large(everything from seafood to pasta to… paella? Yep!). Our group had some of all three aforementioned groups/items, and everything was good. Of important note: while good, the paella is certainly NOT typical paella. The wife did a great job of describing it as a seafood-rice-gumbo. Again, very tasty, but not what you expect when ordering paella. Portions are large — we shared quite a bit of what was ordered. Tried the… you guessed it… key lime pie for dessert, along with the Oreo Mud Pie. We will probably go back every night for the remainder of the week for the Key Lime Pie. The facility is a bit seedy, but definitely has some character — pastel walls, mock-wood floors, and some neon lights. Ambiance was provided by good live music in the tiki hut on front of the restaurant, and played through the sound system within the building. It did get pretty loud as the crowd built inside the restaurant. Food = 3⁄5(the pie is really carrying this!) Facility = 2⁄5 Service = 3⁄5 Ambiance = 3⁄5 Value = 2⁄5

Horrific Captiva parking — you’ve been warned. Decently priced drinks, and some interesting tasty appetizers. We also split the Grilled Salad — literally half an iceberg, grilled and served warm — which was weird. Not bad, not great, but definitely interesting. Live music was good — the duo that plays Thursday nights is solid. They’re like an Eastern European knockoff of whatever they play. Request Love Shack and listen to them muddle through those lyrics. They’re definitely entertaining. Next, after Love Shack — some Jethro Tull. Outstanding. Prepare for a long wait if you manage to find parking during peak times.
