Great fun and great food. Wait staff was extraordinary!

Would be good for drinks/dessert and sitting outside to enjoy the water view but the food is all mediocre bar food(deep fried). We were a little disappointed.

We dined there on Saturday night. Everything from appetizers through dessert, our food had beautiful presentation, incredible quality and taste. Our waitress was attentive and quick. The view at sunset was spectacular! We LOVED the whimsical signs. If you are a prissy customer expecting a snooty 5 start place, don’t come. This is a fun place with lots of personality and uniqueness that has found their niche here on Captiva.

First of all our server was great. Attentive and sense of humor. AnD you can’t beat the waterfront location . We both got the crunchy grouper sandwich and fries but without the bun. I wish they had a hard liquor license this place would be great for a traditional Bloody Mary. That’s the only reason I don’t give it five stars. Also while it’s not their fault I thought I’d mention that the grouper which id never had before is not the fish for me. I’m used to haddock /cod flake fish and the grouper had a fishier /Oilier taste that I did not really like so much.

Weird. Just plain weird. Lots of seating outside, but only a few food choices. Oh, and no service out there on the patio… which is the reason people come here… and wine and beer only… with a few mixed drinks… that are expressly ½ strength alcohol… but go inside for your drinks. Dinner? You have to wait for a table inside if you want to eat. And turn around three times while reciting the pledge of allegiance… in Spanish… backwards. Nevermind…I’ll just go somewhere else that doesn’t have so many weird rules to ruin my fun.

This place has the best view as it is directly on the beach. We arrived about 20min before the dinner seating. We put our names on the list & ordered drinks from the bar. Luckily, our names were close to the top of the list so we were seated next to the window. The waitress was very nice. I ordered the Grouper Café de Paris. It was delicious but I wish I had ordered what my husband ordered, the chicken piccata. His was super delish. The sides that came with my grouper were really good. The garlic red potatoes are must. I had a crème brule for dessert & my husband ordered an enormous brownie sundae. It was a pleasant dinner with a spectacular view of the sunset.

Sad not fresh sea food. The shrimp were. Luke warm not cold or hot and tasted old and fishy we told the waiter and he thanked us for warning them but did nothing about it. Won’t go back again except for a bottled beer and a walk on the beach. The clam chowder was chewy.

Great casual beach-drinking spot! The inside has a quaint, woodsy-feel to it with comfortable seating and an easy to navigate setup. Make sure to get here early during dinner hours if you want an immediate seat! If you don’t, there will most definitely be a wait. I didn’t eat dinner here, but based on how crowded it got, I assume the food must be fantastic! The outside area has a nice little bar you can grab drinks from if you just want to chill outdoors. It’s got picnic tables and an area for music performers(when I was there, it was a very talented guy playing the keyboard and singing). It’s right on the beach, so you can walk right down to the water of you like. A super cute spot if you want to get your drink on in a very relaxed atmosphere!

Love this place and pet friendly with outdoor dining. Shared the Seafood Platter paired with merlot and a Cape Codder, their version. Very reasonable. Wish they had outdoor staff rather than having to go in and older from counter. Great atmosphere! Beach front dining.

We stopped here to see the sunset. Cloudy day so we didn’t see anything but it wasn’t their fault. We decided to sit outside and just have drinks and the limited menu. The calamari was really good. It wasn’t too breaded but it didn’t have too little where you just taste the slimy octopus. It was pretty perfect and fresh.

I liked this place, more for the atmosphere, view, and area than for the restaurant itself. The almond encrusted duck fingers with raspberry sauce was great despite it being a bit too dried out. I also liked the calamari even though it was a bit undercooked. So yeah, obviously the kitchen has issues. But thankfully it’s still edible — and the outside patio on the sand, with some drinks that can be had from the bar outside, makes for a great way to see the sunset over the Gulf.

A charming little spot. Food quality is consistent and it’s always pretty busy. A real one of a kind type place. Nice to walk up beachside and enjoy a cold one. Beer was cold, and the only thing warmer than the food was the service from the bartender. Very enjoyable time sharing a few pints with my old man here.

We chose to eat outside so we could take advantage of the dog friendly aspect of the restaurant. Most of the ratings are pretty good so I will assume most reviewers dined inside. We arrived around 5:30 in order to enjoy the sunset. The view from the front patio is great. You have a wonderful view of the ocean. The outdoor food and mixed drink selection is VERY limited. You are limited to a selection of appitizers; no soups, salads, or entres. We ordered calamari, a fruit tray, and bbq shrimp. The fruit was ok but everything else was very tough. On a scale of 1 to ten the food is a 2 and the view is a 9.

This place has a great location for watching the sunset, therefore it gets crowded; but it’s not crowded because the food is great. The food was marginal at best, but the view and ambiance made up for it. The Duck Fingers appetizers were good, but all three of our meals were just OK.

The best beach/sunset combo we had on our vacation goes to this place, an English-styled pub(for some reason) with horrific parking. We were only here for drinks, as the food prices were sky-high and the wait was incredibly long. But you can bring your beer outside and watch the Gulf, so that’s nice. Ring toss available.

If your looking for top notch food and service this is not your first choice. Actually the service was poor and rude at times. If your looking for a fun place to go with good food and an awesome outside spot to chill this place is GREAT! Beer and wine only but the do make«mixed drinks» which were not that bad. Great fun place to go after a long beach day.

Fairly expensive. But like The Bubble Room you pay for the experience. My favorite is the fish and chips, and after your meal you walk out and watch the sunset. It’s beautiful. Service was good, too.
