I should have know that this guy was bad news when I sent two emails and left voicemails trying to book a decorating party for my 10 year old and I got NO response. I was foolish enough to go in and that’s when I was able to book a party. I also should have known when he didn’t require a deposit but needless to say-we stopped by two weeks before the party to pick out fondant colors and he was gone. I mean, ALL equipment and cases and everything was cleared out. No sign, no nothing. He could have had the decency to tell me or call me to tell me that the party wasn’t going to happen. Luckily I didn’t find out the day of the party. Keith was sketchy and this is his karma-obviously his business closed and failed and there’s a very obvious reason why. It’s too bad his talent is wasted. If he opens anywhere else-STAY AWAY!!! I’d give no stars but I had to give one to post.

I had the opportunity to sample Eat More Cake balls at a Unilocal invite recently. DELICIOUS is the first word that comes to mind! Indy has many bakeries but most are fair to average while these cake balls hit it out of the park! Unilocal events are a perk for both Unilocalers and businesses’ introducing each to the other. Even though Eat More Cake has been open since 2010 I’d never heard of the Carmel business. Participating in the Unilocal event allowed everyone attending the opportunity to try numerous samples of assorted flavors of cake and unquestionably sold me on their product. Eat More Cake was by far my favorite business in attendance. Throughout the evening the staff was polite, friendly, and very patient while hands continually reached for another treat. They appeared to enjoy sharing their product with smiles all evening to a never ending line of happy participants. The customer service was excellent at the event but even more so since we were non-paying customers. The number of different flavors presented this evening was impressive since most would have expected 2 or 3 different flavors. Again, this business set the bar high with over 9 flavors that I personally know of with constant refilling of the tower and trays for several hours. I, nor many others, could get enough of these moist, tender, flavorful cake balls dipped in fabulous icing. Of course my favorites were my go-to flavors of lemon on lemon, white chocolate raspberry, chocolate with salted caramel and chocolate fudge espresso. However, I have to be honest that even those I didn’t think I’d enjoy were tasty. I know the cake ball and cupcake phase has saturated the country but as delicious as these are I’ll carry on this popular trend. The cake balls are so versatile from simple after dinner dessert, picnics, birthdays, hostess gifts to any type of special events. I’ll certainly be placing an order for the next event I’m hosting. Trust me, wherever these land they will be appreciated and devoured! Be prepared for numerous questions of where did you get these? With that being said, I have to say I am disappointed with the amount of information offered on the website after 4 years in business. Very little useful information, other than cake ball flavors, is listed on their website for comparison shopping and planning purposes. The site does mention they deliver, but again without standard delivery price area noted or the standard fee. A $ 100 non-refundable deposit is required two weeks in advance with an order as you’d expect. A party room is mentioned for children ages 5 and up and offers kids the option to decorate their own cake party. You will find a nice selection of various cake pictures on their site. The website doesn’t offer a current price list of any kind or the standard information bakery customers are accustomed to. You must contact the business for most information you’d expect to find on a business website. Missing is quantity pricing for cake balls and even standard cake pricing or sizes, serving sizes per cake, various types of icing offered, upcharges for icing types, flavors or any specifics on items which they charge extra and what is included with standard pricing. They also do not mention what is included with sampling appointments, fees if any, and number of guests allowed before an additional fee may be charged, if any. Again, all these are items I myself and other customers would find beneficial prior to the initial call for an appointment which most bakeries offer online. I look forward to placing an order in the near future and will update on in-store customer service and overall experience at that time. As mentioned earlier, this review is based on a one time sampling at an event and not as yet a paying customer. DELICOUS cakes still remain in the forefront even if website is extremely lacking.

Have you ever eaten a cake ball and decided you should eat the second one of the same flavor because there is no way a different flavor could be better? Show up to this place and you are doomed to eat every single flavor they have because it just keeps getting better and better. The flavors I remember being crazy good were key lime, lemon, mojito, salted carmel, and pretty much anything else I put in my mouth while hovering over the Eat More Cake booth at the Unilocal party. This is a must try!

I was kind of over the cake ball craze until I sampled a few varieties from Eat More Cake at a Unilocal event. These cake balls are the best I have had! I have already enjoyed the root beer, yellow cake and key lime. Looking forward to enjoying other varieties soon.
