Adeeb makes the best ice cream in town. Very fresh, very clean environment.

I moved to the area about a year ago and drove by this place several times a week without giving it a second thought. I finally decided to give it a try a few weeks ago for an ice cream cone. The cone was good so I decided to come for an actual meal with the kids. We got here about 6:30 pm and the lobby was empty and there was one car at the drive thru. I ordered fish sandwich combo, one daughter had burger & fries, and other daughter had the fried shrimp basket. The cashier and owner were super nice and pleasant. The front of the house was immaculate. Our food was cooked fresh and served HOT. Everyone enjoyed their food and we finished with milkshakes and glaciers. The oreo cheesecake glacier is the bomb. Don’t come looking for gourmet or «diet friendly». It’s a burger and fries and oce cream joint. It’s a good local spot with a hometown vibe, friendly workers, and clean environment. Granted it looks a little sketch with the few lights in the parking lot but I felt totally safe with my kids. I will definitely come again.

Good food, great desserts, and outstanding customer service, what more could you ask of a small business? My boyfriend and I go here for desserts usually, and since the first time we’ve come they remembered us by name. They treat us like old friends and are extremely accommodating. I highly recommend going there and getting the orange dream(50⁄50) its the best dessert around.

Well we live around the corner and I have been meaning to go. The Unilocal listing kept saying the place was closed. So we drove over and the place was indeed open! Unfortunately a well meaning Unilocaler only managed to input a Monday time for just a few hours. Bummer! So I went ahead and submitted the proper hours of operation. I wish people were more mindful when they start making business edits. ‘Nuf said. So this place used to be a DQ, thank goodness they are no longer! I think the DQ of the past will forever be etched in my memory… the Italian Soccer Team winning the World Cup back in the early 80’s. All of the Italian families from my neighborhood driving up & down the main streets flying their Italian flags and hooting & hollering. In frustration my German Dad throws down the remote and says lets get an ice cream! Those are good old times when food was still somewhat wholesome. No longer! I think DQ is cheap, tasteless, and gross. Its been awhile since I’ve enjoyed anything from there. Thank goodness Dairy Heaven has moved away from that! They have a large lot, a drive thru and a large number of inside tables. You order at the counter and you can either wait for it at the counter or they bring it to your table. There were 4 or 5 other patrons enjoying their treats while we were there. The restaurant itself was very clean. The single bathroom & toilet seemed to be having a leaking issue… maybe it needs a new seal or something? Dunno. The bathroom def could use a good scrubbing! Ok so my kids ordered dipped cones, I ordered a banana split glacier(Blizzard) and Hubby ordered a chili cheese fries. Cost about $ 14 bux. There were 2 employees manning the restaurant. The gal at the counter hand wrote our order on a clipboard then input the prices on the cash register. Wow. The cones looked good but melted a little too quickly. My glacier/blizzard was tasty-not too sickly sweet, mixed well with enough fruit to satisfy. Hubby’s fries were tasty. After the kids were sugar-high and running around, Hubby & I decided we liked what we had so well that we ordered a ¼lb cheeseburger and a medium chocolate strawberry glacier(blizzard). We took those to go. Anyway, I highly recommend the place. They have lunch specials-hamburgers, cheeseburgers(see my menu pics), and all the standard ice cream treats. But Please repair your bathroom issues! Go support these folks! You wont regret it!

Stopped in to try this place out for the first time on Labor Day Everything was a lot better than I expected. Ordered the two double cheeseburger special with chili cheese fries and a banana dip glacier. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. The burgers were really good for the price, fries cooked perfectly crispy topped with an above average chili and melted cheese, and the glacier was served in a huge portion overflowing the top of the cup! The BEST part of the whole experience was the customer service. Very welcoming and prompt service by the owner himself! I feel he went above and beyond to make sure everything was good for us.

We love Dairy Haven! The ice cream is the best. Also the French Fries are very very good. You can tell the owner takes great pride in his work. Very clean, very fresh fast food. I spoke to the owner and he says the difference is his commitment to cleanliness. They spend extra hours cleaning the ice cream machines, using fresh oil for the friers. Friendly staff, always smiling. We like to pop in and get a chicken or shrimp basket and some ice cream. Always a hit. Go check it out…

Good fries but mediocre food beyond that. Under staffed and very slow. Over priced for gas station quality food.

This place is awful. My son had a hair in his ice cream. The staff is rude. They wouldn’t take my bill because it had a tear in it. I feel like they stopped being part of the franchise so they wouldn’t have to adhere to franchise regulations. We drive far out of our neighborhood for ice cream now…

This closed down Dairy Queen reopened under Dairy Heaven. It is family owned now and has that Mom & Pop fast food vibe. The first time I ate here after it opened, it sucked. I didn’t come back for 8 months. Now that I have I’ve been surprised at the high quality made food. I like it when businesses improve & I’m glad I waited a few visits to give a review. I’ve been back now several times!

This place is EXACLTY what it looks like, a knockoff Dairy Queen. Although it’s a little pricey the food and ice cream is delicious. Also the owner is very nice and welcoming. Would recommend if you want somewhere cute and fun to go to.

As with many others, I have driven right past this place many times since it used to be a Dairy Queen that was not run well. Since splitting from the franchise the food has gotten a lot better and more reasonably priced. I went yesterday and got the #2 double bacon cheeseburger fries and a drink all for around $ 8, the veggies were fresh, and food was hot! The burgers are not the best in sac by far, but I would put them at better than most of the fast food chains, especially at their price point. The fries were really good too.

I was hesitant to stop here for the longest time, but alas, I finally gave it a try. It was after dinner last night, my 7 year old requested ice cream for desert, So as a family we went to Dairy Heaven and boy was I surprised. It was great, clean, and the customer service was awesome. It reminded me of being a kid again. Although you can tell this place is modeled after Dairy Queen(old school dairy queen, not that grill & chill crap), Dairy Heaven is MUCHBETTER than any Dairy Queen I have been to in over a decade, The quality, taste, and firmness of the ice cream alone is worth stopping here for. Don’t wait for months and months to give this place a try. Do it now and take a break from the heat. you won’t be disappointed.

I can’t even count the number of times we’ve driven past Dairy Heaven and giggled about either the name, the fact that there are rarely any cars in the parking lot, or that they call their version of a Blizzard a «Glacier». I think we always assumed that because of the overabundance of available parking spots and the complete lack of Unilocal reviews, there was a good reason for it. Turns out, there IS a good reason for it: nobody’s giving this diamond in the rough a fair chance. Apparently there was an absolutely awful Dairy Queen in this location before Dairy Heaven opened, but that was before my time here in Sac so I can’t speak based on personal experience. Either way, that DQ must’ve left a really bad taste in peoples’ mouths(literally and figuratively), because there is absolutely NO reason that Dairy Heaven’s parking lot shouldn’t be packed on a regular basis. It’s like they’ve taken everything from Dairy Queen’s whole concept and improved upon it… this is evident in the taste, quality, customer service, and price. We decided to give it a shot after work yesterday because we’d noticed some positive reviews popping up here on Unilocal recently. I was a bit hesitant, but I shouldn’t have been. From the moment we walked into the(completely empty but extremely clean) dining room, we were treated very well. The two folks working behind the counter were more than pleasant as we ordered our vanilla cones(I got mine chocolate-dipped…SUCH a good choice). The soft-serve tasted great, didn’t melt too quickly, and was less than $ 3. Dairy Heaven also offers meal deal baskets, including a Dinner Basket that comes with a cheeseburger, small drink and small fries for only $ 3 between 5pm-7pm. Talk about a steal! I can’t speak to the quality of the food yet, but I will be back soon with an updated review on that. Besides, I’ve got a wide variety of Glaciers I need to try… and I’m definitely gonna have to get started on those sooner rather than later. It’s really hot out. Nothing’s better than ice cream on a sweltering summer day, right? So give Dairy Heaven a chance. You won’t regret it!

Like everyone else probably, I was also apprehensive about trying this place. But, the food and ice cream were quite delicious and extremely well priced. The glacier was above average tasting; the crispy chicken sandwich had a hefty piece of chicken and relatively fresh tasting tomato/lettuce, and the fries were very crispy and satisfying. All in all, super cheap, above average food in a clean albeit empty environment. This local place deserves to be given a chance.

When they separated from the actual Dairy Queen i avoided them for a long time. Maybe six months ago i gave in because they’re literally right down the street and i wanted a Blizzard-or a Glacier as they’re now known here. They’re bigger, cheaper, and just as good as Dairy Queen. To be fair, i’ve never tried their other food, but i’m glad i gave them a shot. I’ve been back a few times since and they are consistent.

I feel kinda silly writing a review for a fast food place, but I feel like the abysmal Dairy Queen that used to be here gave this place a bad reputation. Despite it being here for years, I tried it for the first time today and it’s actually good! I only tried ice cream, a «glacier»(blizzard) and it was good. Cheaper than DQ, too. It’s clearly a knockoff but it’s better than the real thing so who really cares. I feel bad for this place. I never see anyone in their parking lot, and that’s undeserved. When DQ was here it was dirty inside with awful service, but this isn’t like that ATALL. It’s very clean inside, the guy working the counter is nice and pleasant and the service was quick. Plus, it’s a local business. Give it a chance! Don’t let your bad DQ memories taint this location, it’s good now!
