First time at La Salsa Grill. The food and service was good. Had the super burrito with carne asada which was very large, and had slices of fresh avocado on top for $ 9.99. Next time will request a little less rice inside so can better taste the carne asada. My daughter loved the chicken tacos. Overall food was good and so will try the pastor burrito next time!

We’ve been here for several times. And all I can say that this is one of my favorite place in town for Mexican food.
I love their pollo en salsa de chipotle. Last time my husband ordered the meatball abondigas, I tried it and I love it too.
I ordered the chipotle chicken more than once and their taste were pretty consistent & the chicken cooked perfectly, very moist and tender. The sauce was so good. I like their rice too because it was so pluffy and the flavor very rich not just bland Mexican rice.
The steak rancheros was yummy too and I love it too. The fish soup was very also yummy.
The service was always friendly and very nice.

Currently out of town and was hungry so I looked on Unilocal and found this place! Couldn’t be happier. Side note: there’s an in n out right next to it and if you feel like u can’t decide, choose la salsa!
I ordered two tacos, one chicken one Asada and a side of rice. The tacos were smaller than I’m used to but they were packed with meat & flavor. The rice was also really good.
My boyfriend got the tamale plate and I tried one and it was sooo good!
The salsa on the tacos is pretty spicy so if you can’t handle the heat I wouldn’t put it on there, or ask for it on the side.
Next time we’re in Carson city we will definitely be back!

I went in thinking this place was a smaller taqueria and to my surprise the place was a sit down restaurant with a decent sized bar. I got take out and the food was good, prices were fair, staff was friendly and I’d definitely go again if in the mood for some Mexican food and in Carson city.
Another yummy little place to enjoy.
The chicken quesadilla was good, I liked their salsa.

Service was kinda slow, but they got busy right as we came in. Good food, some of the best nachoes I ever had. Very sterile, and cold environment though, could use some work in that regard.

Adequate service. Clean. Tapatio at the table. Mexican Coke in a bottle is allways great. Food was average. Chicken nachos were phenomenal. Price was fair. Would definitely come back again for the nachos and to try other items.

I wanted to like this place, close to home and great Mexican food, right? Wrong!
I ordered a side of guacamole to start, the taste was ok, nothing special but instead of in a bowl it came spread out on a plate. It seemed there was about ¼ of an avocado there.
For my entrée I ordered my favorite dish Carne Asada Plate. The rice was close to mushy and the meat was tough, way over cooked, ¼ was grizzle & fat. Absolutely no flavor at all, like they poked the flavor right out of it.
Service was just ok. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever return.

Well named, the salsa here is excellent. The rest was a pretty big disappointment though. The chicken à la Diabla tasted like they just dumped a half a bottle of Tapatio in the enchilada sauce. I like very picante… and I even like Tapatio…, but there was no other flavor in the dish. The wife had a burrito al pastor., but it was mostly rice and beans with a teaspoon of meat in the middle.
No complaints about the service, but nothing special either.

I definitely expected more out of this restaurant after reading the reviews. I ordered chicken tacos and a side of guacamole and was not impressed. The chicken was bland and cold and not as flavorful as mentioned in previous reviews. Being born and brought up in California, my standards for a good taco are somewhat high and I would not consider the tacos at La Salsa Grill to be authentic.

Restaurant is extraordinarily clean. The service excellent. The chili rejanno chicken taco and burrito were okay. Salsa and chips fresh and good. I think we ordered wrong items because the table next to us had a fabulous goblet size shrimp cocktail.

We finally tried this place and were glad we did. We ordered the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos and they were both fabulous. The shrimp taco had a unique flavor, never quite had anything like it. Soooo good! The fish tacos were spot on and very tasty. The beans and rice are good, pretty typical of a mexican restaurant. I think we will eat there again!

This is my go to alternative to In n Out. It always looks dead from the outside but once you open the door you realize this is where the Hispanic families come for lunch.
The food is tasty, service friendly and fast and prices are great.
Chips and salsa are flowing. I order a taco and tostada for lunch and I’m never disappointed.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. We weren’t too sure what to expect with this place but we’re so happy we tried it. I had the chicken mole and hub had the Brazilian BBQ. The chicken was delicious and the mole sauce just devine. The setup for the Brazilian BBQ was very impressive; Brazilian cheese bread (mmm), roasted acorn squash that was so tender, even the skin was good, sweet, steamed masa, farouka, grilled banana, pasilla pepper w/​jack cheese, black beans and rice, romescu and chimichurri sauces.
Meats included grilled sirloin, chorizo, pork belly, marinated pork in parmesan crust, which is where hub threw in the towel.
The service was excellent; servers and bussers on the ball, friendly and good at what they do.

If you like Mexican with a coastal flare (seafood). This is your place.
Oysters are always fresh.
If you like seafood soup it is fresh and very tasty. If don’t, try it! Comes with corn tortillas.
Yes they have all the other great dishes too boot.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant… period! It has great food, great service and is so dependably flavorful and fresh that La Salsa cannot be beaten! I love the seasoning on their chicken and pork dishes, and the homemade salsas add the authentic flair that we have come to love about La Salsa.
And as a bonus, they cater! I asked them to make a meal for 25 that I could serve buffet style for my husbands birthday, and they nailed it! Coming from LA, I have a palette for authentic Mexican food. La Salsa definitely delivers authenticity!
I always get the carne asada plate and a carnitas taco. Both are really good! I especially love their carnitas! Their rice is yummy as well. Service here is friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. I am very satisfied with the food and service here at La Salsa! I’ll definitely be coming back! :)
