Of all places for a date, this is where I ended up. Haha, what a sad dinner date. And no, this is not reflective of where I take women on dates. =) We were waiting for an event and decided to roam the mall and I saw Jollibee. The only thing I know of Jollibee is that it is a Filipino chain and the one in Eagle Rock is typically in Glee. Curious as to what it was, I decided to check it out. I only ordered two pieces of chicken and it came with gravy. The chicken and gravy tasted like KFC. Nothing special. My date also had a peach mango pie. She mentioned that it tasted fresher than McDonald’s pies.

Brings me back to being a kid an growing up in the Philippines. I love their crispy chicken I think because of their gravy. I come here just because I loved it as as kid

It’s more than adequate. There are no special touches to the food, which is somewhat of a shame because Filipino food — and any exotic cultural food — should always be done with an extra, personal touch. Not friendly, not rude. You’re basically a number. It’s all done with little feeling, pride or care. Still, it’s a fine fix for quick Filipino food. It might also be the best option: Filipino food establishments in and around the Carson area are quite notorious for being extremely rude! At least, they weren’t rude, so I suppose this is a plus. It’s a shame… Filipino food is one of the best, non-conventional options out there.

Generally good. This place tastes as what you’d expect for fast food fried chicken places. The spaghetti is not my thing tho(I don’t like Filipino-style spaghetti). The palabok is pretty good though. I have to +1 star though for having fried mango turnovers. I started liking fried turnovers when KFC had apple ones that have since been discontinued. This is the only place I can get fried turnovers… so thank you Jollibee! Keep selling those turnovers!

Can’t go wrong with spicy chickenjoy & spaghetti. Cheap and good. Just not sure how bad it is for you. If youre ordering spaghetti and fried chicken though, you probably don’t care.

yeah this place isn’t so jolly everytime i go for quick fried chicken and rice. i’m always in dissapointment when i order a number when they look at me and always give me a plate with a scoop of rice and some small ass thigh and a half wing. like the subway across the street on del amo and avalon, this establishment is stingy. All the other jollibee’s are nice and friendly, and apparently this one isn’t. hmph!

Craving for the Chicken Joy! :) Since I was coming from LA, this is the closest location I could ever think off. This one is close to the 405 freeway which is cool! I don’t have to drive longer to just get my grub on. Don’t get fooled by your GPS though, cuz this one is inside the food court. So you really have to walk a ‘lil inside the Carson mall to get here. Clean but small one. I just don’t like that I had to wait for 10 mins to get my order. But overall, I’m definitely coming back :)

This is a way better cleaner Jollibee, over the one next to Seafood City. We love the Fried Chicken here and the specials are great. They had some Holiday Special for $ 20 get two buckets of Chicken(12 pieces) a family size spaghetti and a 2 liter pepsi. awesome to say the least.

If you’re into fast food filipino food then you’ll love this place. It’s apparently a big hit in the Phillipines and I’d have to say it’s comparable to a KFC meets McDonalds but with an asian flare. The place looked packed when my bf and I went in this past Saturday. We were in the area to find these ube pan del sals and the pictures of lumpia’s enticed us so we had to stop in to grab a few. Don’t let the pictures fool you because these lumpia’s were HELLA tiny. We were expecting some decent size ones but what we got were the rejects. Meh, it wasn’t so bad since the prices were ridiculously cheap but I’m not sure if I’d come back for lumpias.

Ordered from their $ 5 combo meals menu. As usual, we always get the sweet & savory spaghetti and their crispy fried chicken with gravy dipping sauce on the side. oh and I can’t forget the steamed rice to go with my chicken. Haha! For dessert, a banana lanka pie(my fave) or a peach mango pie! Mmm… mm…good! The combos come with a fountain drink(which I wish had Coke products instead of Pepsi) =) So, if you’ve never had sweet spaghetti, then you must go to the nearest Jollibee location and try some. You’ll definitely want more! =P

Breakfast all day, every day makes this tapa craving Unilocaler happy. One word: TapSiLog Wait, actually that’s a combination of three words: Tapa — the cured, thin slices of beef Sinangag — fried rice Itlog — egg, not cooked to your order since they only serve scramble style. Skimp me on everything else but never on breakfast. Jolibee can surely deliver. I just wish they were open later so I can have breakfast at midnight too. But for now, this will do.

At last, Jollibee. I had heard about you many times and wanted to try you but never found you within my reach. Recently I ended up at the South Bay Pavilion(Carson Mall) and there you were. How convenient! Your cashier was courteous and pleasant. Your lumpia(or Shanghai Rolls as they were described on the receipt) was made to order and tasty. I didn’t realize how many options there were, from hamburgers to spaghetti to fried chicken. I hope to see more locations soon.

The food is not bad at all! My only thing is that I’ve been spoiled living in Carson, I grew up with all sorts of «ethnic» foods… for being what some might call an «ethnic» food place, most of the food seems how can I say best… American? Chicken and spaghetti? Haha! Give me lumpia, adobo and pancit as staple Filipino food! The palabok is tasty and who can not like«Old style McDonald’s» fried pies!

Filipino fast food. Breakfast: their breakfast selection is delicious — I’ve had the corn beef and also the beef tapa. Lunch/Snack/Dinner: The Filipino spaghetti is yummy, the Palabok is delish. Their burgers are legit. Overall, this place is good and I would definitely go back. Although I find it weird that it is located in the mall, I would definitely come back if I’m craving for a snack.

When I was in the Philippines I would eat here all the time. Only because I was a spoiled am-boy.And this was only food I trusted. But the chicken joy was my favorite meal. So today I was feeling a little nostalgic. So I headed to my old hometown and went into the mall. Low and behold there was a Jollibee right as I walked in. I saw the chicken joy sign and my stomach started to rumble. I had the three piece with mashed potatoes and corn. It brought me back to those days in the Philippines.

When they first opened up this Jollibee in the Carson Hall aka. South Bay Pavilion I was like what??? There’s already a Jollibee like 2 minutes down the street. But then in my head I thought, well Jollibee is that good… and Carson is that so good that they have two. There aren’t even two In ‘n Out’s in Carson. Anyway, love the chicken. Always get the bucket. Love the mango pie. Love the spaghetti. Love basically everything. I think this Jollibee is more successful than the other one because there are black people in the Carson Mall a lot and black people like chicken. Sometimes I see way more black people eating here than Filipinos. It is the only place in the food court that sells fried chicken… If you would like to eat Flipino fast food with ambiance feeling as if you were in the Philippine Islands I recommend the other Jollibee on Carson street on Sundays at about 2pm, thats when all the Filipinos are out, right after church. Then go to Chowking and get Taho. Then go to Seafood City and walk around in the fish market section. But, if you just want good Filipino fried chicken than this Jollibee in the Carson Mall is what you need.

I love this place. It is very nostalgic of my childhood days. The fried chicken is delicious! The spaghetti has the a pinoy flavor. The peach mango pie… WOW. I like it so much that I got 8 more to go. The terayaki burger is delicious. Only complaint: Seating is limited esp when you come on a weekend or at lunch or dinner time. They don’t have the«Champ» burger like PI does.

This was my first and last jollibee till whenever im back in CA. As our last day in LA we decided to have some jollibee for lunch and it sure did the trick. My auntie and uncle already had the original in Philippines and also recommended the ones here and told me that the chicken joy is the way to go. So, I ordered the spicy chicken joy that comes with 2 pieces of chicken(leg and thigh), a dinner roll, gravy and my side of mashed potatoes. The chicken was so moist and juicy and I could see the spice on the fried skin and it was delish the only con was that I wished the dinner roll was hot and warm because it was actually a bit cold. Overall it was a good meal to end my last lunch in CA. I will be back!

Jollibee at SouthBay Pavilion. This is one of the nicest Jollibee’s that I’ve visited. It also has Red Ribbon cakes and other baked goods available. The customer service is great. It’s clean and it has an «A» Health Rating. they now serve breakfast and Sontonghon. If you like their chicken, here’s a hint: sometimes they offer coupons for a free piece of chicken with the purchase of a drink. Visit either the Guest Services Center(located adjacent JC Penney) or the mall’s Farmers Market Information table(Farmers Market is on Thursdays from 8am-1pm)

Jollibee in the mall! Good ol’ Jollibee has finally moved out of the strip malls and into a shopping mall, the South Bay Pavilion Mall. Every time I go to a Jollibee I usually find them in a Filipino strip mall next to a Chow King or Seafood City, but this Jollibee is located at the food court of South Bay Pavilion, next to Panda Express! And, an added bonus, there is a Red Ribbon inside the Jollibee, so now you get more options for dessert. The spaghetti is still sweet and good, and the Chicken Joy is well, the same, I don’t really eat the chicken that much. The Halo-Halo is good too. But, what is different about this Jollibee is the staff, the workers are diverse and even the manager is not Filipino! So now you get the convenience of shopping and not having to drink far for some good ol’ sweet Jollibee spaghetti!
