Not good. Crust was soggy and undercooked. Cheese slid of the pizza. Maybe I was just unlucky but I won’t be going her again.

Growing up in SoCal, I’ve had a variety of pizza experiences, from Domino’s to California Pizza Kitchen to hipster versions of this Ninja Turtle favorite. It wasn’t until I traveled to Chicago that I discovered my passion for Chicago Deep Dish Stuffed Pizza. The amount of sauce and ingredients within each fulfilling and stuffed bite was something that can’t be topped easily. Around this same timeframe of life, I learned about thin crust pizza in NY and how it is so highly regarded as a way of life. I had always wondered why and how thin crust pizza could be THAT good, since my experiences with thin crust pizza on the west coast has been less than nipple-pinchingly good. I feel that California pizza’s thin crust is too brittle, crispy, and sometimes blackened. It gives off a pretzel-y and burnt toast vibe that I was not fond of. There was no savoriness or mouthfulness to the bites and texture and no mouth-engrossing flavor experience. Then I discovered that in NY, the thin crust is malleable, soft, foldable and loaded with meatiness and fulfilling attributes. That being said, Pieology is one of the best thin crust pizzas i’ve had in SoCal, and I believe it’s mostly due to the crust and how it has a great flavor to it while having a bit of malleability and it is not overly crispy. I customize the pizza the way I want to(with extra red sauce, a bit of pesto for contrast, and fill it with a cornucopia of produce and meats). And it’s all for a low price that covers all your additional toppings and sexual needs. It’s hard to beat this business, folks. One pizza fills me up at the perfect amount of stomach space to satisfaction ratio and I don’t really need much after that. Holler at your boy

I went here with a co-worker for her birthday(the whole crew was going). I had already eaten pizza one time this week so I was going to opt for a salad. I had gone to and noted that they had«MADE-TO-ORDER» custom salads so I was pretty pumped. While waiting in line, they had a quote wall and one of quotes was by Bill Cosby regarding success. They might want to consider replacing his quote with another quote by someone who isn’t a sociopath and a rapist. When I entered the pizza prep area, I was told that the salads were at the end of the line. I didn’t see any«salad prep» stations so I walked to the register to see«PRE-MADE» salads. Hey, if the salads are GOOD, I kind of don’t give a rip if they were pre-made. I got the LARGE Caesar Salad and it fucking sucked. The lettuce was Romaine, but it was more clear than green, the«shaved Parmesan» was NOT the yellowish, hard Parmesan that you expect — it was soft, limp, WHITE cheese that was neither Parmesan nor Mozarella. I could not identify what kind of cheese it was but it was gross and I had to pick it all out. The bags of croutons are small to begin with and the actual croutons are about the size of a pencil eraser — WTF? BUMOUTALLAROUND. I will say that I have had their pizza before and it is decent-to-pretty good, but pizza is like sex — even when it’s bad, it’s still good. Step up your salad game. Franchise or not — you should follow the standards that your parent company is promoting on their website.

If you have anything bad to say about the pizza you received, you’re just being a douche because they show EVERYONE their pizza before they decide to take it or not. They’ll even make you a new one. This place is amazing. The staff is REMARKABLE! Keep up the good work !

Always a treat to stumble across a Pieology when you’re hungry and want something reasonably healthy. The pizza is good and there’s a nice choice of toppings. My only complaints are 1) they charge $ 2 extra for vegan cheese, which other«flash pizza» places don’t, and 2) this location was particularly slow, and it took quite a while for my pizza to get delivered to my table after I sat down.

So I was STARVING, and didn’t want the nasty food from CSUDH so I decided to drive to Piology because I was feeling like having pizza, the slender hispanic guy who made my pizza was very helpful and attentive with everything I wanted on my complicated pizza. So then I get to the cashier(tall African American guy… looked super lost) rang me up and asked if I wanted a drink, I said yes and he only charged me for the pizza, I ask for my drink and he says I didn’t charge you for that… so I have to pay again, then my friend gets rang up and he does the same thing. Please either more attentive or lower the music so you can get the orders correctly, other then that thanks Pizza Maker guy my complicated pizza was delicious!

Creating your own pizza is the best! Especially for only $ 7.95 for any toppings you want. Try making your pizza half and half and put all the toppings you want on it. Try half BBQ sauce with lots of pineapple, ham, bacon, and purple onions. The other half put marinara sauce with everything on it! You can never go wrong with this pizza joint because you get to put on whatever sauce and toppings you want on it.

VEGAN cheese, didn’t know they serve that at pieology! That’s just AWESOME! I have only had pizzas from pieology twice, first time was a few years ago, since I have gone extremely strict with carbs, so I rarely have pizzas anymore. The pizzas here are actually pretty healthy, the ingredients are fresh, the crusts are very thin, and the flavors are very light. I love it we can basically create our own pizza from scratch, and we can have a very good look at the ingredients we are choosing, that makes me feel a lot better and a lot easier to make my pizza as healthy as possible! Really a great spot for healthier pizzas at very affordable prices!

The day started with me craving a pizza with plenty of toppings and cilantro. What other place than«Pielogy» to satisfy my cravings. They have a large selection of toppings to choose from and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. My pizza toppings included Herb & Butter on the crust, Marinara Sauce, Alfredo sauce and Everything you can possibly think off. I asked for the pizza well done and requested drizzled Alfredo Sauce on top of the completed product. What an amazing mixture of fresh ingredients and great service this establishment provides. Be sure to also add all the protein necessities like Chicken, Pepperoni, sausage and Ham to your creation.

It’s been over a year since my last visit to Pieology. Didn’t have to ask but my pizza was more thoroughly cooked than before. Maybe because it was nearly 2pm or after the lunch rush? Anywho the taste can’t compare to Blaze. I still prefer the taste of Blaze Pizza.

One of the better pieology locations! It’s not crazy packed like the one in Irvine spectrum. The service was immaculate and I really appreciate the fact that they spread the toppings onto the pizza instead of piling it.

I’ve been wanting to come here forever. Finally got a chance today. I ordered the marinara & olive oil for sauce. Parmesan & mozzarella for cheese. Olives, jalapeños & grape tomatoes for toppings. Pizza was good, but not life changing. I asked for ranch, which they gladly gave, but the ranch was gross. Skip the ranch! About an hour after lunch, I’m not feeling so hot. Idk. For $ 8.50, I’d rather go to roundtable for pizza. I don’t think I’ll be back, but definitely a fun place to try once!

I was at the grand opening getting my free pizza while watching the new employees and manager greet everyone and crank out those pizza pies to order. They worked the crowd in and out an kept everyone busy through good conversation. Since then, I’ve been back several times. I like the thin crust first of all. Secondly, I like being able to request my own ingredients on a pizza big enough for one or two, but not too big to go to waste. Prices are just right, unless large pizza chains that are ridiculous right now. My only issue with this pizza is that it gets cold quickly and the thin crust gets soft and flimsy from heavy toppings if you don’t eat it right away.

The thing with places like Pieology is that you can only really blame yourself when you make a DIY pizza and it doesn’t taste all that amazing. I always end up putting too much stuff on my pizza, but overall it’s always relatively good. My only comment for Peiology is that they are somewhat limited in types of crust(just the one) and the dough was a bit soggy in the middle. Otherwise it is what it is … the Chipotle of pizza joints! Stay Cheerful ;)

Went back for another try. I re-ordered the same pizza that I had my mom order for me the other day. The girl who made my pizza, had no idea who I was and made my pizza exactly the way I asked. With the ingredients that I wanted extra, she did so without my needing to ask again. I requested the pizza be baked extra crispy, and I got what I asked for. As always, the staff that I spoke with was very friendly. The restaurant is always clean also. I didn’t see any red pepper or Parmesan packets near the Fountain drinks. It wasn’t too busy today, like it always is and there were no more Oregon no bottles near the napkins. Overall though my pizza today is a complete 180 from last time. Delicious and perfect we crispy, thanks! UPDATE10/30/2015 After my previous visit and review, the manager graciously sent me two vouchers for pizzas. I honestly thought it was for the one pizza, I had given my review for. Two was definitely unexpected but greatly appreciated. Today I used one of the vouchers and ordered the same kind of pizza I always order. Rustic veggie, with a few additional veggies and sausage, baked extra crispy. I’m not just saying all this to sound flattering, but the pizza I was given today was made exceptionally perfect. Every bit of that pizza was covered with the right amount of toppings, with the extra I only needed to request once. The pizza was delicate but still very crispy. I even took a bite of the pizza more than two hours later and could still buy the crispiness. Service was fast and the staff is friendly just as always. The napkin, condiments, utensils and whatnot were filled up. The restaurant is always clean, like I’ve always mention. I’m touched by what the manager did for me and I’m thankful that the staff made my visit a wonderful one. Since I could only really celebrate my upcoming birthday today, I chose to celebrate with a Piology pizza today after my dialysis treatment. I’m touched that you made today special for me, without knowing what it meant. Thank you so much!

Delicious! I love that their crust is thin and it’s ready in 15 minutes or less! I also love that I can put as many toppings as I’d like and it’d still cost as much if I just put 1 topping. We came in closer to their closing time and the line was still long! It turns out that the CrossFit Games were in town. There were a lot of muscular people eating pizzas and cinnamon bread slices. That’s another plus for this establishment – cinnamon bread slices. FYI: It is stale the next day. On the other hand, the pizza tastes just as good as leftover the next morning.

I know this is a famous thing these days where you create your own pizza, your own likeness and own AMOUNT of everything. …which for me is okay if i’m really trying to get money’s worth. But I would stick with the traditional one. As for Pieology, i came here twice. First time was better because my pizza wasn’t wet. The other time was two days ago. Couldn’t even remember what I ordered but I wasn’t happy. The crust was a bit wet. I like Cheese so cheese for me is very important. But for some reason, No matter how much cheese they put in, it doesnt taste Cheesy enough. Maybe they use so-so ones? I don’t know. My boyfriend loves this place so i had no choice. Personally, I wouldn’t go back if I’m alone and hungry. As for cleanliness, good and the service as well. So 3 stars:).

What’s not to like about this place?! If your familiar with Subway and Chipotle then you’ll enjoy this eatery. Stand in line and wait until it’s your turn to customize your pizza. Don’t even worry about what they offer. Just get what you want on your pizza and be happy. Plus you can have them load your pizza down with lots of meat at NO extra charge. Yup! I take advantage of that. LoL Don’t forget to ask for pesto sauce(ONLY if your not allergic to nuts) on the side. It’s soooo good!
