Small location. Parking can be an issue sometimes. Great food at a great price! Cash only. There’s an atm at the liquor store though. As far as I’ve seen there no «taco tuesday» special but the tacos are only $ 1.50 and totally worth it! If you’re driving down Carson street from torrance on the way home and need a taco fix, this is the spot!

**CASHONLY** I really love everything on the menu here. I grew up eating at this place every sunday after church, we never got tired of it. I never compare anything to my moms cooking, but I have to admit this place is just as good as momma’s home cooking. As the other reviews state the tamales are delicious. My favorite go to is the enchilada plate(delicious, never dry, the sauce is amazing) and one chicharon taco. It’s a small hole in the wall but i’m glad it hasn’t changed over the years because I know their focus is too keep the food authentic. Another plus is this place is always very clean.

Great experience, would definitely come back again. I was feeling tacos this time around so i decided to order the asada, adobada, and lengua. The store owner was a friendly dude, very passionate about his food. Great service, great food, good price. Like everyone else said, cash only, so make sure you hit the ATM first.

This is my parents favorite place for Mexican. Their food tastes homemade. I personally enjoy their tacos dorados plate. A must try for Mexican food when you’re in the city.

Just tried this spot recently after driving past it time and again over the years. It’s a small place in the plaza at the end of Sandy’s Liquor. My loss for not having tried sooner! I was missing out on good food at good prices. The aroma is amazing when you walk in. I ordered the pozole which was delicious. I look forward to trying their other menu items. If they are open next time I don’t feel like making it myself…, I will opt for this place first before going to Diana’s! 4 Stars given because of no other payments options than Cash Only

Very clean establishment. It’s a bit warm inside but the food is worth it. The flan is tastey and recommend trying it. The kids size portions are perfect for the young ones. While the regular size orders are filling. They have arias frescas, some Mexican candy as well as Calling Cards.

I was craving tamales so I searched the internet for somewhere near my house and saw a good tamale review here. Loved the chicken tamales!!! Went back for more for the whole family. The guys who work there are very friendly. I will go back to try more menu items.

I ordered a small menudo not sure if I was going to like it clear and without hominy. It was Delicious! After devouring it, I ordered two tamales one pork and one chicken they were out of this world! Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious! After trying this restaurant I started coming here at least twice a week. I have ordered everything on the menu and never have been disappointed with anything. Keep in mind items are made when ordered and may take longer when there are several orders. I recommend the champurrado and tamales especially when the weather is chilly out. Need to get them early they since sometimes they run out by noon, they are in high demand. Best tamales in town! The dozen of tamales are priced at $ 17.

Best pork tamales around! You have to come early because they run out quick! Sope’s are the bomb! My wife loves them! This is a small hole in the wall place with very minimal seating…

The food was not that good. My burrito was extremely salty. And the pozole had no flavor. And the chips where nasty and stale. If I could give them no star’s I would. Obviously I will never go back.

If they can’t bother being open during the listed hours, you shouldn’t bother to go there.

As far as authentic Mexican food goes, you can’t get much more authentic than this place – within a 10-mile radius, anyway.(The low review count proves how authentic this place is). My family has been coming here for as long as it’s been around, and the food is still just as good as ever. It’s small as hell, the service isn’t amazing, and it *probably* isn’t the most sanitary place, but I honestly couldn’t give two fucks because of how real this place is. The best tamales you can buy in the 310. We get them for Christmas when we don’t feel like making our own.

This review is for the POZOLE!!! As usual I crave Pozole when it is cold. I’ve been bugging my coworkers to get their tias or moms to make me pozole. Then I went on Unilocal and found this place! Hallelujah! It was good. Tastes homemade!!! && the chili on the side was bomb!!! Mmm. They are CASHONLY but worth the trip to the ATM. I would definitely go back && try other food!

My coworkers and I had been craving pozole for a couple weeks(I know, I know, it’s been like 100′ out). My sister recommended this place and we have gone three times in the past 5 days. Their pozole is the best pozole I have ever had. The meat they use for the pozole is shredded and has no fat. I’ve also had their enchiladas as well and they are also super yummy. If you want some good pozole, this is the place.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years the food is VERYGOOD!!! The food is freshly made and it is authentic mexican food. BUT the service is horrible!!! I am surprise that after so many years on business they have not thought about hiring more people to help specially on the weekends when it gets crowded. There has been times that they bring each plate at a time with 15 min in between of each other. By the time they bring the las plate almost half of us has finish eating. Sometimes they even forget stuff and u have to remind them or tell them to deduct it from the bill when u are paying because that is the only time u see the server again. This is the reason why we don’t come as often as we would like to because we hate having to wait a long time.

I heard about this place, because the owner of this taqueria is from where my father is from in Mexico, this pueblo called San Pedro Lagunillas, Nayarit, which is why the owner named it Taqueria Lagunillas. The place is very small, probably enough to fit at least 10 people, the owner told me he has owned the place for about 16 years, which obviously says something about the food here. I have to say I loved the carne asada tacos here, the meat was soft and there was no fat in the meat, I ate five tacos and then ordered a champurado, which was great. I say if you want a place to grab a quick bite this is the taqueria to come too!
