Michael B. Krinsky, MD, MC

Dr. Krinsky has been helping me for over 20 years. From being a teenage athlete to now a weekend warrior he has been great. From knees, to my neck, and everything in between (rotator cuff and disk issues) he has been able to get me going in the right direction so I can play and more importantly so I can pick up my 19 old month son!
His staff has always had time for my questions and seem very professional.

Be aware! If you have surgery here and need pain meds, you will NOT be able to get them from the staff. You will call, they will TELL you they mail the script but voila! They don’t. And they don’t care. When they have little teenagers running the office, I guess what can you expect? And Dr Krinsky is just fine with this. See other reviews. Jessica is incredibly rude and unhelpful and blames the patient. It’s not worth the hassle and aggravation. Choose another doctor! And save yourself the PAIN and headache. The negative reviews here are completely accurate.
UPDATE-​Just when we thought it might get better, they ran out of prescription pads. Out of them for about a week. What doctors office does that?! And when you have surgery and need meds, that’s not good. Beware. Oh AND they will tell you they mail out a prescription on one day but in reality, they mail it 9 days later. Hence the postmark date. And Dr. Krinsky condones and excuses all of this. In the meantime the patient is in excruciating pain. We did find another doctor. My husband couldn’t deal with this any longer. After surgery you will need pain meds. My advice is to find a doctor that will actually give them to you after having major surgery.
UPDATE-​Thank you Jessica, for your reply on Unilocal yesterday. (4÷21÷15). After my husband spoke to Dr. Krinsky (and sent postmarks of you holding medical prescriptions from patients for over a week when they need them) and he realized what the office staff was doing, it’s clear he spoke to you. I hope you will never do this to any patient again. Dr Krinsky is a good surgeon and it was awful what his staff was doing. Playing games with pain meds when someone has major surgery, it never appropriate. I am sure you will never do this again, to anyone. Thank you.

I have always suffered with tightness in my upper back, shoulders and base of neck. For at least 30 + years I suffered with a knot just under my right shoulder blade near the middle and top of my back. I would get deep tissue massage until my back was sore to touch. I’ve had knees and elbows during vigorous trying to get that muscle to relax and it was always very temporary relief. THEN I saw doctor Krinsky. He was very thorough and after a MRI, he found the problem was in my neck and that it was referred pain for a neck issue. I asked him for a shot right into that knot and it worked!!! I have been virtually pain free from that knot since May 2013. I wish I knew of him sooner. Also he is a great listener!

What a piece of work… I would give negative stars if I could because he doesn’t deserve the one star… He was late, rude and condescending. I paid out of pocket for the consultation since I don’t have insurance ($ 160 for a 2minute visit). He barely talked to me seemed like he was in rush and told me that I needed a brace… came in and gave me a brace. It was never explained that I would need to pay a different company for the brace or that I would get a bill I assumed that it was part of the hefty consult fee. He asked that I make an apt to see him in 2 wks… NO THANKS buddy… The front office made an appt for me without me knowing… didn’t even call me to remind and then sent me a $ 25 missed appt fee. REALLY… I called to explain that I didn’t make the appt. and the answer I got was OH WELL. so sorry it is what is… if that wasn’t BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE wait till hear you this… then I got a bill from Pacific Medical for the brace… The brace didn’t even fit properly and I didn’t even use it and now I’m getting a bill… WOW…I called Pacific Medical to explain and they were really nice and suggested I call Dr. Krinsky’s office to let them know the situation and she didn’t seem all that surprised. the lady almost made it feel like they get a lot of calls from Dr. Krinskys patients stating they weren’t anticipating a bill… Well I tried to give them another chance and call and they forwarded me to the office manager… and yet again I got an OH WELL response… has anyone heard of customer service in that office. The Doctor & Staff are very unpleasant… I would look for a more professional office that isn’t so money hungry, more compassionate and understanding…

Well lets just say that I missed the opportunity in having Dr. Krinsky as my doctor thanks to his unprofessional and incredibly rude staff. As a new patient, I would expect to be greeted polietly and addressed professionally as this is supposed to be a professional establishment.
Calling to set up an inital appointment and unsure of who to speak with, I had the pleasure of dealing with Jessica. A teenager it seems who had no problem tellng me that I should have been clear about who I needed to speak with. After her rudely transfering me, I decided then that surely a staff who behaves this way can only mean the practice is not respected and I will not have my care in there hands.
I decided to call and at least inform the doctor about my experience, and sure enough guess who the manager is. Yep, Jessica!
I asked the other teenage girl who answered the phone named Maryann for a way to address a complaint, and her attitude displayed the same careless way as Jessica, so instead of helping me, she decided to pass me along to the other teenager Deana. This is starting to get fun now for them, I guess they have no real work to do. Deanna acted incompident and careless as well and passed me to guess who. Jessica! Yaaay! Well, here we go. I asked Jessica for a way that I could reach the doctor as I was not happy with the way I had been treated today. She said no. and then procedded to give me her personal hotmail email address.
SInce I can not reach you Dr. Krinsky, be very aware that your staff is behaving this way and you unfortunately just lost a patient. I was eager to meet you and I hope you fix this.

Dr. Krinsky has been my husband and I’s doctor for more years then I can count.
He stands tall in the field of Orthopedic surgeons.
A while back ago I went to see a Dr. of orthopedics close to my home, he would not entertain the idea of replacing my knee. (I had already had 4 scopes on it and that Dr. did not do knee replacements) so with my pain tapped out I reluctantly went to see this Dr. in hopes of getting a knee replacement. Not only did he not see me himself, he sent his assistant in to tell me they would not be able to help me because of my size and that could be a risk. (by the way my BP and all my other vitals are perfect and have always been that way) I responded to his turn down of my request by telling his assistant, who was he (the Dr.) to determine my quality of life in such a way. Also I feel it is so easy to become a highly looked upon Dr. of orthopedics when you pick and choose your patients. Funny how that works. This Dr. has a brand new knee replacement center in Fremont. Probably because hes so successful with those average weight, in shape patients. (by the way my husband was one of those patients he choose to do surgery on. He is in very good shape and plays tennis several times a week, hummm… and now has two new knees)
Now with all that being said it leads up to Dr. Krinsky, who’s philosophy is to help his patients of all walks of the earth to receive the care that will award them a better quality of life. Initially I take the blame for seeing another Dr., only because he was in the same town as myself and it seemed that everything would be so much closer. My mistake and shame on me. I knew and have always known that Dr. Krinsky is a doctor who truly cares and is an asset to his field. He is a no nonsense type of Dr. and if you mistake him for anything other then the perfectionist he is that will be your loss.
If you want it done and done right the first time around the you must see him. If he can not help you with your aliment then believe me he knows who can. He has connections that only the best have.
He demands the best because he is the best. A great human, a great man, an outstanding surgeon. And Mr. Biggie Smalls you could stand to educate yourself a little more on Dr. Krinsky. You want it done and done right you should have cooled your jets and got to know him better.

Dr. Krinsky is a fine surgeon. He did an ACL reconstruction for me in 1996 and my knee still works great 16 years later!

I have been seeing Dr. Krinsky on and off for most of my life. I have found him to be one of the best Dr’s out there especialy as he tells you what he actually thinks and gives you options. What I will say is that he is a straight shooter. He absolutely tells it like it is and does not sugar coat anything. He has amazing referals for PT and others — but key to ortho work is that you have to show up and do your PT and your homework — and the office will push you to do that.
I am someone who would rather have it straight, deal with a total professional, be treated like an adult and be a partner in my care. I get all that from Dr. K.
When I had a serious issue with my back, he refered me to the most amazing neuro guy and supported me thorugh the whole thing. I have seen him for ankles, knees and shoulders over the years and every time I come back stronger. I can not thank him enough for that.
It’s a busy office — so bring a book. Be patient though, because once you see the Dr. it is all about you and your care.

i’ve been to the office and he has away of being very rude and demanding
the phones are always ringing, the staff is always talking.

Dr. Krinsky is a good doctor. Friendly & thorough. The X-​ray techs are competent and also amicable… However the reception staff are completely inept. I have called 8 separate times in 2 weeks and left 3 messages to reach Angela (MRI scheduler) so that I may track the progress of my condition. Never a return call, no response.
The one time I did reach her (prior to the 8 calls and 3 messages) she said she would call me back immediately after looking over my case (which she even mentioned she brought up on the computer, but could not talk with me at that moment, b/​c she was helping another patient), but I still have not heard from her! Hence my incessant calling.
Anywho, this week I have called thrice. Today 8÷26÷08 I can’t stand waiting anymore (I have major pain in my knees and need an MRI done to evaluate what the problem may be) so I have called 4 times and the receptionist keeps putting me on the voicemail. On the last call she puts me in the «hold» loop for 5min.
EFF that.
I am now in search for a new orthopedic doctor that has an actual «receptionist» and «scheduler» that can help me. What really sucks is that this rant is more about the receptionist and not the doc.
Anyone that has to have MRI’s done, be wary!
