I was impressed by this store, the 2 girls in there were simply awesome! I was there to exchange some PS Vita games and luckily they had some good games, and they paid a fair amount for my games(Almost twice the Gamestop and Gamefellas offered!), definitely coming back, as they have some rare gems around.

Of all the game related places in Lakeline Mall, this one offers the best selection of retro games and accessories. The staff has always been kind and eager to answer whatever questions I may have. Pricing on some items is a bit high when compared to other sources but then again you are paying for the convenience and it is a mall location. They have a new location now, so it’s much brighter and better looking than the one before. If you’re in the mall and looking for older gaming related items, give them a shot.

I’m not big on doing reviews, but I just want to say how great Gamerz and its employees have been for me. I work with the WILCO as a youth advocate for children who are are often underprivileged. Gamerz has allowed some of my kids to come in – at one point allowing them to participate in a LAN party with one of their great employees, who played games along-side the kids. I have been taking kids to this location as a reward for good behavior for a few years now and the staff has always treated us great!

What can I say? I am a retro 80’s born classic gamer fan and it’s so very nice to have a store like this one. It does cater to more up to date consoles and gaming, but what makes this place stand out is the confidence and polite treatment given by the owner and staff. Every time I walk in I am greeted and with every question I might have pertaining to older games, consoles, etc., I am immediately engaged in conversations of retro fun. I have a re-obtained several of my older games from my youth and will continue to come to this store when I need some old nostalgic vibes. Also, they have a rented spaces to play several games which only makes it a plus.

I came into this location looking for a controller and a game. The sales clerk was busy playing guitar hero behind the counter. I politely ask him for help twice if he could get me the game in the glass counter. He pretended not to hear me. The second time he just looked at me rudely and went back to playing his game. The old gentleman in the back unpacking boxes, notice I needed help and finally came out to help me. I think he is the owner. He was nice and actually got me want I needed. I think Gamerz needs to be a little choosier on who they hire. Especially now that Press Play, also a vintage video shop, is in the same mall on the 2nd floor.

Great store for finding all things gaming. Lots of cool vintage gaming items too. Vintage Atari consoles and games. The owner is super helpful and knowledgable. If you are like me and need lots of help trying to buy something for the gamer in your life, you need to shop here!

This place has nice merchandise(wall scrolls, plushies, etc.), but the games seem a bit overpriced. I believe I saw a N64 for $ 100. That is insane. On the other hand, I think it is a great place for a kid’s party. I believe you can individually play for $ 5/hr. Overall, customer service was great, and it is definitely better than Game Stop. I would go back if I happen to be at this mall.

This store is cool, has a pretty good collection of games for a wide variety of systems, and yes, they even have many parts for the older game systems that can be hard to find elsewhere. I would say that the prices are a bit higher than you would pay elsewhere. The biggest negative of this store is that they completely rip you off for trade ins. I stopped by here to see what they would give me for a copy of an old and popular game. I noticed they were selling a copy of that exact game for $ 70. When I asked how much I would get in trade in value for the popular super smash bros game they offered $ 15. I realize they have to make some money off the trade in but other places in the area are offering about $ 10 more for the game. Even so, I sold the game on eBay for $ 50. The only time I will trade in games is when they are so unpopular or undesired that the only place you can get any value is at a game store like this.

Great store! Helpful employees! And a pretty good selection for having just opened! You can also play games there too. Worth checking out! ETA: It’s a video game store!(would be helpful to know what kind of games!) So for all your console and hand-held needs they have it! I don’t remember seeing PC games, but I would be surprised if they didn’t have them.

Had a few older games I was looking to trade in over at GameStop where they offered me pennies for my games! I was shocked. My son said to go to Lakeline mall to GamerZ. Found them on the first floor and the guy working was more then happy to give me over $ 100 dollars for my older games in store credit and even better they would get me the Xbox One games and I could apply the credit! Few days later got a call my new games were in! Took less the 5 minutes to get in and out. This place is awesome and the folks there are super nice! Don’t get ripped off by those other places! GamerZ is legit!

Was so happy we just wondered into this store. Not like a Gamestop — sooo much better! Not only do they BUY and SELL games, consoles, and parts for EVERY gaming system(yup, even, Atari) they also have cubicles set up that you can buy time on for interactive play. Gamerz holds monthly in-house tournaments-sign up in advance. This place is for the ultimate gamer; not just your pimpled faced little cousin who«kicks ass» on Guitar Hero. The staff knows their stuff and their level of enthusiasm might just inspire you to buy one of the original Star War memorabilia they have for sell. Gamers and nerds-of-all-types unite!

Decent selection, not expansive. A bit pricey, but that’s to be expected at a retro game place. They arcade games along one wall. Great way to kill time if you were dragged to the mall unwillingly. Sold some old games and systems here and quite frankly it was a ripoff. Selling stuff like this you would normally expect to get about 50% of its retail value given the risks of a shop buying used products. They offer closer to 20%… total ripoff. Staff at places like these are a total roll of the dice(usually a multi-sided dice… snerk). Either a socially underdeveloped awkward gamer who never blossomed or the opposite, a person who loves gaming, electronics, and such and exudes happiness since they are getting paid to do what they love. Gamerz Galaxy staff seemed to run more along the lines of the former.

I am amazed of how many things this store has to offer! A great selection of new and old games at good prices. A much better choice than GameStop. The guy working there was super nice. You can tell he really cares about his business. Great store! Keep it up, Gamerz!

I am a big video game nut. I mainly play PC games but I also dabble on other platforms. I have gone to several game stores here in Austin and I think I have found a home at GamerZ. Although they do not carry PC games what they do have makes up for it. Ranging from the classic old school games for game systems like the Atari to new Games for current systems. They have it all at reasonable prices. They also have an assortment of plush toys, t-shirts and other accessories. They also have a Lan center in the back where you can play any game in stock by the hour or rent it out for a birthday party. I threw my boyfriend a birthday party there a couple weeks ago and he loved it. Best time he has had in a long time. If they don’t have the game you want in stock you can check with the knowledgeable staff and see if they can order it for you. The staff in general are very friendly and as I mentioned above very knowledgeable and professional. It’s kind of like nerd nirvana. If you happen to stop in tell the guys I said«HI!».

Kool store here at a great location in the mall, love the fact they sell new and retro games, Prices are a lil high but not too bad. Staff is a lil immature for my liking but hopefully they will get some older employees at some point. Tons of stuff to look at though and seems to be improving every time I visit, Hopefully this place keeps it up so they can go head to head with local retro Juggernaut Gameover.
