Gramma Betty’s

I recently received some chocolates from this Cerritos-​based company at a special event I attended. They don’t have a retail location (the address is just a mailbox at a UPS store). They are a specialty gourmet chocolate company whose chocolates you can order over the internet. It seems they do a lot of business selling their candies to organizations as gifts for clients or to attendees at events. The chocolate gift box I received included a card that read «Featured at the Academy Awards, US Delegation to China, California Yachts Clubs, US Supreme Court and more».
While the presentation is very nice (the packaging is elegant and the chocolates are decorated beautifully) I found the taste to be underwhelming. They are good but not memorable. The chocolates are not what I’d call «gourmet»; for taste they are more in the Whitman’s Sampler or Russell Stover category of chocolates.
If you are ever at an event and receive them in a gift bag, by all means, enjoy them. But I probably wouldn’t order any myself.
